  1. Landon Powell is still out there. Anyone else here antsy for the Sox to snag them and give it a shot of whether they could sign him. He'd be a steal at this point. One of the best catchers in the draft and he's sliding BIG TIME.
  2. This was a good pick. I'll say one thing, Sanders and Brumbaugh know they only got a few more years to make it to the show with the Sox IT should be fun watching these outfielders play in the lower levels. The Sox seem to be getting more atheletes (Ala Webster and even Reed last year) that can hit but also go out and get em in the outfield. I think I like the way the Sox have drafted lately.
  3. He's now a switch hitting 3rd baseman. He had an injury of his hammate bone and started hitting left handed for the first time. Has a ton of power. Nice pickup. This kid must be smart.
  4. Out of Buena highschool. He has a mid to high 80's fastball now, but from the looks of him, that should get a little better as he develops into his frame. He has good size. According to Team One he needs to develop his control as well as work big time on his secondary pitches. They seem to think he could develop quite a bit. This seems like a pick based on the scouts thinking he has the ability to really turn into a stud.

  6. Geeze, this guy sounds good. He must of fell because of signability issues.
  7. I'm digging this draft so far.
  8. Dizzard is a talented player. I've heard a bit about him and he's supposed to be good. Had a bad year, but the Sox have been relatively good taking guys with a lot of talent and making some minor changes to them. Think of what they did with Dan Wright. This guy has good velocity for a lefty and has some solid secondary pitches. Could of went much higher had it not been for a down season.
  9. I'm very excited about that shortstop from Miami. We never signed Chris Getz did we? If I recall he was a shortstop out of Michigan or something like that.
  10. Ok, FutureSox.com is now up. I have a lot to do on the overall site, but the basis is there and I got an article that is on the draft picks. 2003 Draft Picks By Jason Gage FutureSox.com
  11. Chris Kelly has good power to both parts of the field.
  12. Teamone did this last year and got me all confused. Nice job on the 4.0 Cerb. I'm still awaiting my verdict from finals but am hoping for the same.
  13. Chisoxfn replied to Cerbaho-WG's topic in SLaM
    Coldplay is good.
  14. and that young shortstop. I'd think he'll be a tough sign considering he was thought to be one of the very top picks a while ago.
  15. Its a waste for Yan to spend any more time in A Ball. The sox need to move him to AA where we can see whether he's really improved with his bat.
  16. Click Refresh, and you'll notice the change. The old image was probably in your cache, so refresh will clear that out and update it with the new one.
  17. If it is lit up it means there are new posts in the board.
  18. Not sure, will look into it. It could of just been a slow spot in the server cause all boards should run at the same speed.
  19. I'm loving this thing thus far. I think the Sox are going to quickly turn to their bread and butter and take pitcher after pitcher.
  20. Great news people, in about 20 minutes I'll be launching futuresox.com In the next week or so there will be a few articles going up on the draft. The first article will be up there today, with a list of all the Sox picks. I'm gonna be updating it throughout the day. Then we'll be doing our best to get info on all these guys.
  21. I think Sweeney is going to be a first baseman, thats just my two cents.
  22. Other then Kohlmeirer I thought the list was good. I like Yan higher then Hummel though, personally. I think Hummel fits as a utility guy while Yan has a shot to be a stud leadoff hitter. Of course he has a lot to prove cause the numbers he's putting up right now don't mean much until he shows he can do it in AA. Cerb's the gifted stat guy, I am a toolsy type guy. Thats why I think we'll make a good mix as future gm's
  23. Remember, you dont' want to run a draft based on needs, but based on talent. One guy I love is falling; Sox should nab Wes Littleton. Has great movement on his pitches and a pro fastball (91 MPH). Nevermind. Texas nabbed him about 3 slots before we took the highschooler.
