Oh, don't get her started I give you my vote for greatest avatar ever

Yep, what Josh said, Carlos said throw it at me or something like that.

Sounds about right to me. Cerbaho had the report today and he's gonna have a ton of work for tomorrow recap (On Todays Games) since 7 games are scheduled. Barons offense is looking horrid and I guess its because they don't have many hitting prospects right now. I like Reyes, but his knock was that they didn't think he would hit at higher levels. Hopefully him and Durham can turn it around cause if they can get a good top of the order then they will be alright. Plus if Ruddy keeps tearing the cover off the ball you'll be seeing him real soon and him and Reyes are a real good 1/2 combo at the top of the lineup.

I've long been a big D'Angelo supporter from the days before we made the trade. I liked him in the Yankee system and liked him with the Padres, and then we got him. So far he's doing freaking awesome. I have always thought he's one of those rare guys with the potential to have a .400 OBP at the leadoff slot. He's very agressive on the paths and seems to be a very good baserunner. I hope Jose teaches him more techniques on the path.

Simple, go to the sweet and turn the Sox game on while watching the playoffs

I just ran a check and it may be the bandwith. This month our hits are on pace to double over the previous couple months which had already doubled. That being said I just checked that with our allotted bandwith and we aren't even close so I'm assuming it was something with the server company. Ok, I found out what happened. It was a router issue that limited only certain internet companies access last night. Everything was fixed and should be fine as of now. Sorry about the outage everyone.

Minor League Recaps By Mike Doyle April 19, 2003 SoxNet.net Jon Rauch will have to wait another day to try and go 3-0, as the Knights game was postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as a part of a doubleheader today, with Jon Rauch and Mike Porzio starting for the Knights. The only game not rained out last night for Sox affiliates; the Huntsville Stars shut down the Birmingham Barons en route to a 6-1 loss. Stars starter Pedro Liriano (1-2) baffled the Barons hitters, giving up only three hits and two walks in six innings. Barons' starter Clay Eason (0-2) was equally effective until the 6th inning, where he gave up a home run to shortstop J.J. Hardy, his second of the night off Eason. The Barons only run came in the 8th when Ryan Hankins hit a sacrifice fly to score Chad Durham. Other than the sacrifice fly, the Barons' offense was seemingly asleep. The Barons could only manage five hits all night, and stranded seven men on base. Corwin Malone (1-0) will take the mound tonight for the Barons, opposing Ben Diggins for the Stars. The Warthogs game against the Frederick Keys was postponed due to rain. Hogs fans will be in for a treat tonight, as the postponed game will be made up today as a doubleheader. Top prospects Kris Honel and Ryan Wing, both 2-0, will be pitching for the Hogs. Kannapolis was also rained out, as the Intimidators will make the game up as part of a doubleheader today. Paulino Reynoso and Brian Miller will counter Nick Bourgeois and Matt Sweeney in the doubleheader.

I'm ready too. Gonna be doing homework at first while watching the game which kind of sucks.

Ah hell, if Rowand continues to suck out there, and I haven't seen much to show that he isn't then you may just have things working. We could add a lefty bat in Daubach, but god will our range be terrible. Daubach isn't very good and neither is Carlos and Maggs will be below average out there. Easier solution, bring up Borchard's bat, imo. If were gonna play Maggs in center, to me it means that the other guys have failed, so why not bring up our golden boy Borchard. That being said I happen to like Rios and am not worried about letting him take over as the starter for now. Defensively he's not as good as Rowand, but its not quite as bad as an outfield with absolutely three no range guys cause at least Maggs has good range in right and Rios has more range in center then Maggs would.
-
HELL NO. Taking away the umpires would take away an integral part of the game. I'd be firmly against that. Just hold the umps accountable when they f*** up, and that will solve the problem real quick. I'm with you. Its more of a strategy when pitchers and hitters have to recognize and umps strike zone and try to use it to their advantages. Some umps see things differently, but usually the strikezone is the same size. Some call it outside a bit more, but don't give the high stuff. Some are tighter, but are more leniant in the up and down part. The ump yesterday wasn't too hot, but the calls were going on both sides later in the game. There was one time Maggs drew a walk and I swore he struck out. Speaking of Maggs, he's not trying to go opposite field as often and its killing me.

I was gone and had no clue it went down. I'll take a look at the server logs and seeing if something was happening. Maybe I need to upgrade the server package for more bandwith.

Vizquel grounds out to Jimenez and thats a Sox winner. Bartolo with the CG and the final is 5-3 Good Guys. Rodriguez with the loss.
-
-Pop Out to Jose Valentin so there are now two outs. Come on Bartolo!!!!!!!!
-
I'm only "watching" on GameCast, so I'm not "seeing" anything. At the same time though, I think Lee looked pretty disciplined on his Home Run at bat earlier. Taking several pitches and fighting off several more. Granted, he looked horrible in his last at bat. All the same, I'd rather one solid at bat than none, at least a step in the right direction. His swing was long, but I thought they were strikes. Jose had a hell of a bunt, still don't like him hitting from the left side unless we are bunting. One out in the ninth as Bartolo fields a grounder up the middle.
-
-Terry Mullholand comes in relief. -Rowand does his usual and pops it up to the catcher. He looks like utter crap once again today, although he had one good at bat that I saw. -Sandy Alomar gets an infield hit but Vizquel makes an amazing play. -Jimenez up. Hit and run attempt, D'angelo hits it foul. Jimenez works a count fouling it up and he ends up hitting a double into left field. Runners on 2nd and 3rd now for Jose. -Jose gets the job down with a sacrifice fly making it 5-3. Jimenez advances to 3rd. 5-3 Sox -Thomas gets hit by a pitch and they warn both benches. Runners on the corners now. I'm guessing they go to the bullpen. -Magglio is robbed of a double and instead they force Frank at second. After Eight 5-3 Good Guys
-
He's looking awesome. I have only watched him starting two innings ago, but damn looking real good. Great movement and is not throwing a lot of pitches. Entered the eighth with 82 and struck the last guy out of the inning on a 97mph heater. I like his approach now though, he's letting the opponents make contact and trying to be more efficient. Great movement though.
-
Bottom of the Eighth -Karim Garcia grounds out to Jimenez -Burks rips a single into centerfield Tom Gordon gets up in the bullpen as well as Damaso Marte. -Lawton check swings and hits it to Crede who throws him out. Runner does go to second though. -First pitch a 96 mph fastball that just missed the outside part of the plate (I thought it was a strike). Short grounder by Spencer and Colon has no shot other then putting it in his pocket. Infield single, runners on the corners. Cooper walks out and talks to Bartolo -Travis Haffner steps up. First pitch is a fastball down and away, 1-0. Throws two nice strikes. Then gets him swinging through a 97 mph fastball, inning over. Way to go Bartolo Bottom of the Eighth 4-3 Good Guys Come on Offense, score some more
-
Well how Magglio missed some of those meatballs I don't know. I'll give Santiago credit though, although he was only throwing one pitch and had no control over it, it did have good movement.
-
he took one pitch for a strike, and swung at two and I'd say that at least one of them was a strike, well its a strike if they are calling the pitch just below the letters.
-
-Billy Traber comes in to face the Sox. He's a lefty. His numbers looked very good, ERA in the 2's. -D'Angelo Jimenez works the count full and then draws the dreaded leadoff walk. Way to go D'Ang. -Let me make it known that with Jose up against the lefty I would pinch hit Graffy for him. D'Angelo steals second on a great jump. He showed good speed and good baserunning. Jose has a 2-1 count now. He drops a bunt and Jimenez gets to third. Somehow they called Jose out at first, but I think he beat it out. Replay showed that he was safe. -They intentionally walk Frank Thomas to face Magglio Ordonez. Frank Thomas is now the Sox all time walk leader, passing Luke Appling. -Jose Santiago is brought in to face Magglio Ordonez. First pitch a high fastball for a ball. Second pitch an inside fastball that looked like a good hitters pitch; Maggs swung and missed. Maggs looks at another fastball that gets quite a bit of the plate. Maggs just looked at what should of been strike three. Next pitch is an inside fastball that ran way in, making it a full count. grounder for an infield single. Pitcher throws it away and runners advance to 2nd and 3rd as well as get the lead. 4-3 Sox -They change the call to a two base error (I think). They intentionally walk Paul Konerko to load the bases for Carlos Lee. -Carlos Lee inside fastball that went in a bit more for strike one. High and tight one for a ball. High fastball that Carlos swings through. He swings through yet another high fastball. Two outs. Carlos had a real long swing that at bat. -Crede pops it foul, but it gets just out of play behind home. 1-1 Count. 2-1 pitch. Ripped to center and deep, Garcia hauls it down at the fence. Son of a b****.
-
-Colon's first pitch he throws up and in, protecting Crede. Then the batter grounds out to Crede. Colon got him on a 94 mph fastball. I know someone mentioned he wasn't throwing over 90, I wasn't watching earlier, but he is now. -Vizquel pulls back a bunt for strike one. 0-2 on a changeup. Grounds out to Jose Valentin. Konerko picks Jose's low throw. Nice play PK! -Brandon Phillips takes ball one on a 94 mph fastball that looked good to me. 2-0 on an outside fastball. Pops it out to Jimenez. 1-2-3 Top of the 7th. Colon looked real sharp. 3-3 entering the Bottom of the Seventh. Come on Offense

Double play ends the Top of the Sixth inning. Bottom of the Sixth (3-2) -Paul Konerko Grounds out to 3rd -Carlos Lee Belts a homer to left and it went pretty deep. Earlier in the bat he ripped one just foul. Game is Now Tied at 3 -Crede has a pitched thrown behind him, lol. They didn't throw at him, but the White Sox dugout all jumped up and are yelling at Rodriguez. Carlos Lee yelled out to Rodriguez to "come on after me". Crede draws the 4 pitch out. -Aaron Rowand hits a high fly and it carried to the track. Wind blew it towards the foul line in left, but no luck. Runner on First with two outs now. -Alomar rips it to center but right at the centerfielder. After Six 3-3 Tie Rodriguez is well over 100 pitches now, so I believe we will see the Indians bullpen in the seventh inning. Sox bullpen isn't active right now.

Double Play so the game goes to the bottom of the sixth.

Were in the process of adding a new board though. We just felt that the contest area didn't get enough activity so its best for future contest to just carry them in murcie's forum, unless people prefer it the othe way. We saved all the posts and such.
