Well, Wunsch will not be cut. A lefty thats had sucess out of the pen has some definate trade value, possibly for a quality backup catcher. Also, the Sox aren't going to do anything until they know that Munoz and Sanders can produce or at least see them produce in spring training. Man, I can't wait till I get in the car and drive over to Arizona

Welcome Aboard. I think Frank can agree or disagree all he wants. The fact was he stunk two out of the past 3 seasons and the contract was in there for a reason. He seemed to admit that his play hadn't been up to par. Either way I believe Frank should of kept his mouth shut.

This is Murcy's fantasy league talk. We know there are quite a few members here who have all joined different member fantasy leagues. This is the one stop place where you can condense all the fantasy league talk to. Discuss which players are available on your team, who you are looking to acquire, etc. Hopefully everyone enjoys the forum and remember, in your posts include which league your in and your team name. Enjoy!!!!!

Well, you'll be in charge of it Mike.

Tumou Ruutu. And you cannot just sign a player after drafting him and expect him to come to the big club. He should play at least an entire year in Norfolk in order to condition for the highest league, the NHL. From what I know he's ready to play in the NHL. This kid is supposed to be completely ready and I think he played in the professional leagues in Europe. I've read a couple pieces on him and everyone says he's the real deal and will make an immediate impact.

Rauch will not be a bust. Last season was his first year back from surgery and in his last two starts he pitched brilliantly against the Twinkies. This kid is real special and you'll start to see it this season and in the future seasons as he continues to develop. It takes pitchers at least a full season of being healthy until they have pretty much recovered from an arm injury. If its Tommy John it can take even more. Rauch didn't have Tommy John. Last season the reason Rauch struggled is cause he was called straight up to the big show, even though he wasn't near 100%. He wasn't 100% until August or so and thats when he finally was building back his stamina and such.

I'm with everyone else, the Sox fans that are around are diehards. They've had to endure not winning the big games and they all stick around waiting and hoping for that day to come. None of them are bandwagonners, but the Sox will pick up quite a few bandwagon fans this year because the Sox are going to be really good. I'm sick of the losing and the time to change is now. This organization has acted in a way I've never seen them act before and I hope that the moves pay off and this team wins it all like I think they will. Sure I'm bias, but this team has pitching, offense, a bench and a bullpen. The defense isn't great though.

Welcome aboard SoxFaninBayArea I keep wondering why Frank doesn't just stick to his oath and not talk to the stinking media. Everytime he opens his mouth crap comes out of it that causes a controversy. He needs to shut up and just play baseball. Let his numbers speak for themselves. The team can do what they can do and as far as I'm concerned they'll have to live to ignore Frank and his comments and realize that they can win without him, but if he performs like I Think he will, then he will be a big help to the offense, but HE WILL NEVER BE A LEADER.

If everyone wants it then I have no problem with it. Once again it won't be the normal mods running it as it will be independently run by SnR.

Whenever the Tigers play the Sox I get to hear Whimpy do a game or two over the season depending on which crew is broadcasting the games on Extra innings. I still think he's awesome to hear, but without Hawk he isn't quite as good cause the two of them always were getting along or at least it seemed that way in the booth. The discussions they would have would be so informing.
-
Does anyone think that Konerko may have a job in the booth when he retires from baseball in 10 years or so? By the way, welcome aboard!!!

I was watching it on tv and couldn't believe what happened.

I thought it was a good aritcle. The only point I think was missing from there is D'Angelo Jimenez cause I believe a leadoff hitter is key to the success of a club.

They need to sign that one guy they drafted so he's ready next year. I think he tore his acl or something and is done for this season but make sure he plays next year.
-
As long as he shuts up and plays I'm happy. Franks a better guy than the media makes him out to be and so is Bonds. Neither of the two are jerks when they are off the field and they may not be team guys, but they ain't taking drugs and they aren't beating women and all that stuff.
-
Well guys, I may be back later tonight, but I am going to become a regular at this site. Awesome; Always great having another Sox fan here
-
oh? I always wondered why he never got better and just regressed to nothingness. I had no idea about this. Another career lost to drugs. What kind of drugs was he doing? I never heard about that.

What I think Frank was saying was that he had some hard feelings but he knows everything is business and he's a team player. He realizes he signed the contract and they had good reason to invoke the clause. He admits that he didn't play up to par and he seems embarrassed about it and thinks he signed a fair deal this time around as long as he steps up to the plate. He seems very motivated. I think he wants a ring and he wants money.
-
It just happened today so I dont' think anyone mentioned it. Good signing by Boston. This has to mean that Boston is no longer in the Kenny Rogers sweep stakes.

He was acquired out of the Angles organization in the Jim Abbott trade. Mckay was supposed to be a stud. He was drafted then went on a mormon mission for a year or two, I forget how long they are supposed to be. I think two, but not sure. The kid was a great defensive center fielder with blazing speed and he hit well whenever he got the shot in LA, but for some reason they never let him play permanently. I really think that guy is a lot like Orlando Palmerio with a bit more talent. I'd love to pick him back up. The kid is a great bunter too.

i colon pulls a todd im pushing kw and colon off the sears tower.... there is no way we should have to be subjected to a crappy pitcher aquired by kw two seasons in a row.......lol.... and im going to have jr at the bottom trying to catch them both.. may as well take care of all of the problems at once huh........... If Colon pulls a Ritchie there is no one the Sox can blame other then the team. Kw can't pitch for him. I believe the pieces are there, now we have to see what develops. I do hope that if the Sox need one more guy at the deadline, then they go out and do what they can to get him. Luckily with our minor league system and some players near ready, the Sox could get better without having to make a trade.

I think Liefer may surprise some folks if he gets the chance to play everyday Baggs. I'm pretty happy with my team. Baggs, I know one thing, every time you were picking I was telling Gary that I was hoping you wouldn't take the guy I wanted. So many times you took one of the guys on my list, lol. I like my Thome/Mo Vaughn first base combo
