Today's Game
I'm feeling things the same way. He pitched awesome late last season though, so we'll see, but I'd have him on a short/tight rope.

Today's Game
White has really sucked thus far in spring. I think the Sox will have him on a tight rope when he starts the season. He is a vet so he'll get the benefit of the doubt, but we may just have 3 lefties in the pen if he struggles with Munoz or Sanders replacing him or righty Almone could come in.

kenny rogers a twinkie
I agree with him when he talks about Rolen. Thats exactly who I've compared him to and will continue to do so. Crede just has to work more on a consistent release point on his throws, cause sometimes they aren't too accurate.

Pitching Coaches
Ok Jim. I'm a former pitcher. Not saying I'm great, but I think I know a good amount on mechanics whether its pitching or a swing. What Nardi did wrong mainly came to his philosphy of talking to the pitchers. He was a yell at them type of guy and was notorious for going off and just ripping the young pitchers. Ripping doesn't do them a damn thing good if he isn't able to explain how to improve and all it does it make them feel like they don't have a friend in the pitching coach whom they can consult when it comes to throwing a certain pitch or something else. Pitching coaches are kind of like mentors in a sense. They really tutor guys along, showing them the ropes and the pitchers got to really get along with them because these guys can look and analyze your stuff to help you. If you got a question you can go to them, they'll look at film and try to make minor adjustments. They can also help with you on a new pitch and are pretty much there whenever you need them. They also help you with pitching philopshy. They can say hey, next type try this or become more agressive with your stuff. When Cooper came in, he was more a philosphy type guy who didn't really want to make huge adjustments in guys deliveries. He wanted to change their mindset, since 90% of the game or whatever is mental. He preached agressive pitching, where our guys would attack the hitters. He knew our pitchers had great stuff, they had to just be confident about it and pitch not aim. Now he did make some adjustments, but from what I know most of the adjustments he made were with Ritchie. When it came to the other guys it was more a mental approach or just telling them some minor things to improve action on a pitch or something along those lines. I can't comment more on what he did, because I wasn't there listening into his stuff.

Bulls Drop the Lakers
Damn was that a fun game to watch. It wasn't a lucky win, it was the Bulls beating the crap out of the defending world champs. Curry, Crawford, Rose, etc all played awesome. This team is getting real fun to watch since they made that lineup change a week or so ago.

Anyone Else Notice This?
The Sox are going to be using a 5 man rotation the first week of the season. This is me going off the fact that Colon is the #2 starter and is also slated to pitch the Tribe's home opener.

Today's Game
this is an omen that 2003 is CLee's gold glove year! Well..all kidding aside, he did make a very nice diving catch the other day on the WGN vs. the Cubs. He knows what he's doing out there sometimes. Lee is definately improving. The guys been working his butt off and I think we'll see great things out of him this year.

Its still a good move for the Twins. Hopefully we kick Rogers butt in this year and kick the Twins butts as well.

The board will change Michelle, but we are going to re-register everyone to the best of our ability and email them new passwords. Before we do this, we will ask those who would prefer to regsiter on there own, since it would save us time But as long as we have your current email addie, we'll register you and email you a password for the board. We'll gather a list of people who want us to register them at a later date. Now onto the addresses. As far as those go, they will stay the same. You type in www.soxnet.net and you'll get our main page. You want the message board you just type in www.soxtalk.com and it will come up, that way everyone will always know how to find us; that stuff won't be changing.

A Letter to All Visitors of SoxNet/Soxtalk
Thats the one thing we thought long and hard about. To start things off, when they contacted us we didn't think there was any way we'd join, but when it was all set and done we saw just so many positives to the point we could make the site so much better and get it more widestream. One thing we do stick to is the fact that this site stays free. If things switch and we get forced into anything, then as Mario said, we will basically just back up our bags cause it is against our belief. We think the internet should be free, etc. We would like to find some ways to make some money to re-invest back into the site in ways such as scouting trips to the minors, merchandise, give-aways, etc, but THAT WON'T Come at the expense of the readers, thats for damn sure, and it won't involve popups. Were in this to provide a full service White Sox site, with in depth news, stats, and info on the White Sox. With an awesome board with the most kick ass Sox fans around where they are entitled to speak there mind. And a site that will have indepth minor league coverage. I have big plans for this area, and once we get acess to everything I will start development on what will be the ULTIMATE MINOR LEAGUE PARADISE for Sox fans or so I hope That being said as always if there are other things people will want to see added or changed in terms of features on the site do tell us because were here to make everyone happy.

Ya, we will be fully in charge. The only difference is we will be on a sweet server. I know some have said they have had trouble on this board when it comes to acessing it at times and those problems should end. Their will be a new board, but we are going to do all we can to make the move smooth in terms of it; ie re-registering everyone, updating the post numbers to what they were when they were here (IF Possible; I think it is). Then we'll move this board to a different server where it will be at least in read only mode so all this info won't be lost, etc. You can always go back and check on new things and such. Losing this board was a sticking point, because of some of the hassles it will cause in the beginning (Learning a new board, etc). The positive is, now we are at a place that will be our permanent home, assuming there are no bumps

A Letter to All Visitors of SoxNet/Soxtalk
A Letter to All Visitors of SoxNet/Soxtalk The staff here at SoxNet.net and Soxtalk.com would like to inform all the visitors that we have recently teamed up and joined TheInsiders, a network partner of Yahoo! Sports and CNNSI. The decision was indeed a difficult one and took weeks of consideration before it was agreed upon, but it is a move that was done in the best interest of SoxNet, as well as the staff, and most importantly, the viewers. -Because of the partnership with TheInsiders, our reports, recaps, stories and columns will also be published on nationally known sites like Yahoo! Sports and CNNSI. -In turn, this will allow the staff to show their work to a broader audience. -Along with that, the site will be run on a state-of-the-art server, which will supply more space and traffic allowance. -The site and the viewers, will be supplied with more information and statistics regarding the White Sox. Most importantly, the content on SoxNet will not only stay reliable, pop-up, registration and pay-free, but will be published at a much quicker rate, with more in depth info and analysis. This will allow us to expand our reporter base and offer more timely reports. Although the deal is official, the move will not be made till the end of this month, before the season opener on March 31. This is clearly the biggest decision and step this site has made in just over two years of being up, and we are very optimistic that this move will take SoxNet.net to a new level. With that, we ask that anybody that would like to voice their opinion on this upcoming move, comments or criticism, or those who have any questions, to please write us. Thanks for your time, Mario and Jason

breaking news from the UN
Blair admitted to helping Powell lie to the UN (plagiarized info from 1992 in his dossier about Iraq) A lying politician would fit right in here in the US of A. Its hard for me to believe this whole plagarizing bit. Wouldn't the news say something about this? It isn't like the news is afraid to say something bad about the president. I know you've told me Blair admitted to this or something, well where is any of this stuff. I want to see it out of some mainstream people please? Its just hard for me to fathom that no one has heard of this. This would be something serious if in fact it were true, yet no one talks about it.
