Willie Harris, Mario Valenzula, and Brian Daubach are playing now. Daubach may of already been in, not sure. Also, Stewart did give up an earned run, it wasn't un-earned.
  2. Rowand had an RBI Single in the inning and was on base for Borchards homer.
  3. Chisoxfn replied to Cali's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Brian Cooper is now pitching. Josh Stewart threw 2 innings giving up one run. He had a 1-2-3 3th and gave up one un-earned run in the 4th.

Rowand and Magglio Ordonez each had run scoring singles in the inning, before Borchard's homer. The inning is over though. It was a 6 run inning.

Not sure, the radio went out. You just heard a big buzz. Frank Thomas is up right now.
  7. I'm exactly your age, 19. I think there is a valid point though on this whole age thing. I see things exactly like you do Koch. I think that Prior is going to live up to the hype. My big reason behind it isn't from what the scouts say, but what my eyes say. Watching this kid pitch he's just phenomenal. Look at that motion and tell me anyone in the majors that has as fluid a delivery. Its just beautiful. I know Van Poppel was labeled with all that hype, but I don't think he was considered the best college pitcher ever. Prior does some amazing things, and the most amazing thing about him is his CONTROL. Most of these guys that recieve all this hype don't have good control and control is probably the easiest way, aside from injuries for a pitcher to fail. If you can't throw strikes and spot your pitches, you'll never be a great pitcher. Prior is so stinking young and already has pin point control. Then you look at his stuff and he has an exploding fastball, made so much more effective with his pin point control. He also throws a plus change and curve and can spot all 3 of those pitches.
  8. Lol, so true so true.

Yep, it was 15-1 (I just checked to confirm it). And yeah, it seems like it was against Washburn. I went with a friend of mine who's a quasi-Sox fan, and he kept wanting to leave early when the game was no longer in doubt, but I refused. I was enjoying the beating far too much, and it was my only chance to see the Sox play that year, so I wasn't going to miss a minute of it. When Mags hit his 2nd HR of the game in the 8th or 9th inning, I remember standing up and clapping and how quiet the rest of the place was. Definitely a great moment for me. I wasn't going to leave either. I had just sat through so many losses agains the Angels. Every year they kick the crap out of the Sox. Usually the Sox take early leads and then would blow every game and end up giving up a ton of runs. It was one of the rare times that I could really see the Sox just pummell the Angels and I loved it.

White Sox go down in order in the Top of the 4th. Borchard flied out to deep center and Armando Rios hit a line shot but got out.

Rios makes a run saving catch in the outfield. Rangers are up 7-1 though. They scored a run in this inning off of Josh Stewart.

I'll give Wright some more time. We don't know if he's working on a new pitch or something along those lines. Spring training numbers don't necessarily mean much, but I'd rather have everyone pitching awesome.

I'm so stoked about the Sox coming out here TWICE this season. First the Dodgers in June (6-8), then the Angels in August (11-14). Last year's 19-0 loss to the Angels was absolutely horrid. I was at work at the time, so I was listening on the radio, and listening to the homer Angel broadcasters going crazy was making me want to die. Hopefully we'll fare better in '03. I was at the 15-1 MAULING we gave them back in 2001 (Mags went deep twice and MB threw a 91 pitch CG, or something like that), so if all goes according to plan, there will be a repeat performance of that. I was at both of those games Clujer. I thought it was 19-1 for some reason, but now that you said it, it was 15-1 or so. I remember Rowand had a homer and like a double in the game too. It was just an awesome game and I think we beat up on Jarrod Washburn that day. The same guy who pitched in the 19-0 whooping last year. I'm like you though, I can't wait to see the Sox play in LA and then again in August.

Yan could shoot up the charts this year if his bat develops. Thats a big if though. Hudler should get a really good look at him this year though. Him and Guillermo Reyes will be a pretty fun middle infield to watch, imo.
  15. Week Two Spring Training Report By Mario Scalise March 4, 2003
  16. Yep; you may want to come to Arizona dressed like this
  17. Well I'm going by your California standards since thats where I am. Hopefully it heats up, but its supposed to rain out here all week and I'm assuming that carries over to Arizona.
  18. Nope; last year I ripped his team and he kicked my ass en route to a 3rd place finish or I think thats where I ended up. This year I'll let my team do the talking.
  19. Just sent you a private message
  20. ok send it to me.. cause to tell ya the truth if it keeps comin down like this and its supposed to come down more tomorrow i may not make it out.......GOSH I HATE THIS PLACE IN WINTER..................of course it had to snow before i was to leave town right......couldnt wait till i was gone and maybe i couldnt get back right away....i could have done a few extra days in arizona........... Lol, I'm sure you'll make it out. I know Mario will be flying out on Thursday, so hopefully the sky's are clear for both of you. I'm worried cause its supposed to rain when were there. Usually it doesn't pour constantly in Arizona, but you never know. (Knock on Wood)
  21. Thanks for the update Jim. It looks like you'll be in full form when I get out there. I'm going to be at Friday's game against the Padres and then Saturday's against the Cubs in Mesa. Are the minor leaguers typically on the field early? I'm going to get there right when the gates open on Friday. Sounds like your having a ton of fun out there too!!!
  22. Ok, I send you a message with my cell number. I got tickets for the Sox game on Friday and am just going to go with grass seats for the Cubs - Sox game. As far as the regular season goes, hopefully I'll be out there, I know I will if the Sox make the series.

Hmmmm, It really doesn't matter to me either, depends on how many games you were planning on going to. Say if you were going to 2 games, I could by you a ticket and you can buy me a ticket to the other, a little checks and balances That sounds great to me. What game you want to get the ticket for and what game should I get it for? Also, where you want to sit? just to keep asking f***ing questions... which 2 games are you going to? Since the 7th has to be one of them I'll buy the tickets for the 7th, you do it for the 6th or 8th. I really don't know Dodger Stadium that well, didn't you say your Dad was a Dodger fan? See if he knows which are the quality seats to see at Chavez Ravine, within reasonable price range that is... Ya, he's a Dodger fan, but he wouldn't have a clue when it comes to stuff like that. I'll get tickets for Friday's game...I think. The only reason I'd say Sunday is because there wouldn't be any traffic. I won't be able to buy them till Sunday night though so you'll probably be able to get a bit better tickets then I will, but I don't think too many people will be buying these seats way in advance. Was looking the seating charge and the loge seats look pretty nice. They are like 17 bucks or something. http://losangeles.dodgers.mlb.com/NASApp/m...ing_pricing.jsp
  24. Michelle a bit off topic but: You already get tickets to the Cubs game on Saturday? I was looking and they don't got much left. Was going to see if you knew a way around it to find some better seats
