I don't think Borchard is ready as of yet. Put him in the bigs this year and he'll probably hit something between .230 and .240 with 20 hr's and a ton of strikeouts, maybe even 200. He'd also have a good amount of walks. Still, this guy is the real deal. He has a good eye, just a long swing, but he has unbelievable power and is a great defensive player with a gun. He should hit 40 hr's a year with ease at the major league level once he develops. The guy has sick power. The problem is, he's got to shorten that swing and the White Sox have to put that as their #1 priority this season down in AAA. You get Borchard swing shortened, like they did with Crede, and he will be ready in a year.

Alomar did nothing for the Sox,hence the reason he is a stiff. Alomar was a crappy starter for us and was hurt all the time. I think he'll be a much better backup. Backups need to play every once in a while, and provide good leadership. Alomar will do that.

Jose is one of the leaders on this team. Pointing fingers like that wasn't a horrible thing, and it wasn't a great thing. The guy loves playing ball, and as many know, I'm one not a Manos supporter, but as a leader he's pretty good and he's a great guy. I don't want him as our starting shortstop, and i never wanted Royce as our starting shortstop, I have always wanted someone else. I'm hoping Jimenez plays great and Harris plays great and they can play 2nd and short. I know it ain't likely, but I can hope.

The problem is, Astachio is do to make a ton of money. He also had a terrible 2nd half of the season after looking like a cy young award winner in the first half. I am not against Valdes, because it would keep Biddle in the pen, and give us a good backup plan in case one of our pitchers is injured or struggles. Of course, Biddle would probably start the season as the 5 with Rauch down in AAA if we were to sign Valdes. Also, Daal is still out their and would be a very good pickup as well.

Well Doublem, I'm taking a lot of your songs and putting them on one cd. I think its a pretty good variety mix. Of course, I'm also adding some zuan songs to it.
-
I'm with ya on that. Those three are good players, imo.
-
White Stripes and Strokes are good. Also, Ozma is pretty kick ass. Ehhh, what you going to do. All I know is Zuan or however you spell it, kicks ass. They are making me reminous of the Pumpkins all over again.
-
Ludicrous, Big Tymers, they are all so talented. I just made my 4th edition of my rap cd and you can't have a rap cd without those two in it, imo.

Never....King of the Hill Rules!!!!!!!!!!! Of course I can't wait to get Family Guy DVD :metal

We may just end up with Daal, just a hunch though. I also think we sign a back up outfielder. It isn't like Palmerio is going to break the bank.

Well, I don't really think KW controls every call going on. Their is a reason you have a manager. Late in the season I think someone told Manuel to keep guys in a bit longer, but for all I know and suspect, that was coming from pitching coach Don Cooper. KW did tell Manuel one thing and that was to make sure he played the younger players and I have no problem with that. The year before Jerry sat their and didn't play guys like Crede enough and to me it was a bad thing. This past year we gave those younger guys the shot and played them extensively. Also, no way is Borchard ready this year. A full season in AAA (Yes, another one) should be real good for him. He has way too long of a swing and they got some work to do with him before he's ready. He himself admits it. As far as Liefer goes, he's nothing special. Clee is a changed player. Everyone still remembers him for his terrible defense, but last season he wasn't bad at all. He played much better and he's continuosly worked his butt off. The guy now walks (He was one of the few players in the majors with more walks then strikeouts) and he will have a very very good season, as a matter of fact, he may be better then Konerko by the end of this season.
-
Parque wasn't too bad other then the fact he thought he threw 100mph. After his injury he was bad, but before it he was a pretty solid pitcher, nothing great, but far from bad.
-
If I remember right Borchard has been improving towards the end, but still he hasn't exactly been great.
-
Thats a pretty accurate read. He's not a guy to get real excited for, but he has put up some pretty damn good numbers and those may just get him a shot alone, and then you find out if he is the next talented soft tosser like Moyer or Glavine.

Thats the one where Peter forms his own country right? Family Guy ranks up their as one of the greatest comedy tv shows ever. Right their with my personal Favorite King of the Hill (In its current form) and Simpsons (When it was in its prime)

And even after he comes back you still don't know if he'll ever be the same and odds are it will take him till at least two seasons from now to be back to his old self. You don't just magically come back an ace. I'd sign him as a good investment if it were a cheap multi year deal.

I will and always will promise a couple things to all our members. I'm going take a step up on my soap box here. I don't know what Soxheads did at WSI, but I do know many of you don't like him. Still, things will not be changing just because he's here. He's going to be helping us out, but the boards won't be changing or anything like that. You will always be able to speak your mind here, and I mean always.....You will also never ever have to worry about popups because they suck. The main site and message board will be ran in the same way. Still, the main site will have some new features, thanks to Soxheads, one of which looks to be this palm schedule. IF people want to get stuff off their chest on this subject, I say go for it, lets not be harsh or anything, but get what you want off your mind and tell Soxheads what you don't like about him or do like about him, and get things clear in the air. Who know is this idea will blowup in my face, but what the hell. If you all are curious as to what he's doing for the site, he'll be helping with some programming on the main page. Hopefully everyone can make their opinion on Soxheads for what he does here and now, and not what happened in the past cause well, I don't know what happened in the past, but we all make mistakes.

I know, thats why Fizer and Erob would probably be the main guys going.
-
Oh sweet, so after you did that stuff it ended up working? Its great to have ya back!!!!!!!
-
As of right now we are looking to be somewhere around 45 -46 million.
-
Ritchie is far from great, he's also far from what he was last year, which was terrible. He definately isn't a number two or even a number 3 pitcher though.
-
Lol...I do think that right now Frank is just getting his state of mind back and he's working to get into great shape. He'll be ready by the start of the season looking to play. I also don't see him walking, at worse case, the Sox will give him more money. JR and Thomas have a great relationship and it will allow the Sox to keep him as long as he's productive.

Pettite would get the Yanks nothing in return (Look at Millwood after all) but the Yanks would also have to pick up about half of his salary. I think the most viable bet would be them giving up El Duque for nothing. I think he's a bit more affordable, and at a cheaper price they could at least dump him. THey won't find any takers for Pettite or Hithcock unless they pay most of the salary.

Jon became a much better pitcher when he stopped overthrowing in the middle of last season. His ball started having much better movement and he had better control. WHen he throws real hard his pitch straightens out and he gets drilled. Hopefully Cooper continues to do good work on him and the young kid continues his development. I really like our young arms and we have more of them coming, just not this year, minus Rauch and maybe Diaz.
