  1. Old Roman, your all set up. Now I'm gonna see what I can do for ya, cw.
  2. I'll work on both of ya.

I think Pablo Fransisco is pretty funny. I saw him do standup once and it was hillarious.
  4. Bears don't need a de, imo. Its got to be Leftwich, then if they could deal Colvin for another first rounder, I'd go after someone like Mike Doss, and then in the 2nd maybe go with a reciever, if one of the better ones falls. Its too bad for Mcgahee. That was a horrible injury. I hope it doesn't ruin his great career, cause he was going to be a real special back.
  5. I made some too. It was great to see the Packers go down like that. I know one thing, Vick probably won't stand much of a chance against the Eagles and if some how he gets past the Eagles, no way will he beat the Bucs or at least I don't think he can. Of course, never count against Vick and his legs, he can make some amazing plays. He still has to learn how to pass though. He's a solid qb, but nothing special yet, when it comes to his passing ability.
  6. Lee had no future with us. The Sox have way too many young, talented arms, that a guy like Lee wouldn't stand a chance, especially when it comes to relievers where we have so many guys that rank ahead of Lee.
  7. Stumm pitched pretty good this past season for the Sox. He has the potential to be a heck of a reliever. This will be a huge season for him, and he could of been claimed in the rule 5 draft, but no one claimed him. I don't know if he becomes a free agent next year or anything like that. I'm sure he'll be exposed again next year, so he's going to have to do big things. This is his 2nd year back from surgery so it will be a huge year for him. I'd expect him to start the season in A ball, although he could go straight to AA. Either way, if he's pitching real good, look for him to move through the lower levels fast.
  8. Thanks for everyone who did this. I'll settle for 2nd and I know I would of done even better had Iowa not choked. I also should of updated my Miami pick to Ohio State as I changed my mind the day of the game and ended up putting money on OSU.
  9. I liked Perry when he was here, but hey, It would really of pissed me off to see Perry and Manos platooning at 3rd while Crede would still be sitting in the minors.
  10. He was expected to go to school. Typically many guys expected to go to college that would be first round picks slide quite a bit (Namely Stanford players) and eventually teams will take a shot at them. Typically their are a good number of players that are basically unsigneable.
  11. Won't happen. The best thing you can do is go after someone like Jacque Jones.
  12. Everyone will have to redo their avatars. Yours, I should have, but it probably wont' fit, so it will have to be resized again. The sigs, let me take a look at yours. It may of been deleted when the databases were being cleaned. Also, the colors will change a bit, and guests can't post here anymore. It was just something that we hadn't yet changed. Real cool though, and I want to here how Cuddyer hit, cause I'd like him on the Sox.

this looks GREAT. keep the color scheme, for now. you don't want to be copying from any other sites. in design you have the best. Their won't be any huge changes. The only changes will come in the graphic and I plan to intergrate a bit of silver and black, but hte main colors are going to stay the same. I also am going to work on some custom areas to go along with the message board and I have a new chat room built, just got to get a custom header for it.
  14. Iowa also had a 6 week layoff and that will kill a team that runs more of a pass oriented offense like Iowa does. It would be like having a pitcher sit out for 5 or 6 weeks and then come back and ask him to play well, its just not going to happen.

The jets are one team I'd like to see go to the Super Bowl. I like watching them play, Edwards is a great post. This was my lock of the week, as was me picking Ohio State

They paid him too much money. I would of went to about 2 million, thats it. He's solid, but nothing special. Get him out of that pitchers park in LA and things will be quite a bit different.

Wasn't the big problem with him, that he was smoking dope on the team plane with Matt Anderson?
  18. Chisoxfn replied to doubleM23's topic in SLaM
why? they were among the worst things ever in music... I never said they were great...its just I had forgotten all about them till they were mentioned. Never did I listen to them...at that time I think I was listening to offspring and other stuff.
  19. I wasn't shocked OSU won it. I put a bit of money on them (20 bucks), knowing full and well that Miami wouldn't beat them by 12, which was the spread. It was a shame a controversial call came into effect, although I think their was a penalty on the play. Whether that penalty was pass interference or holding, I'm not sure, but I know that holding did happen on the play, and either way it would of given the Buckeyes a first down in the same position and they would of still got the touchdown. Awesome game though. Its really too bad for Mcgahee. He's a real stud of a runningback and now they are almost sure he will have to sit out next season as a medical redshirt.

Yep, Phillips gets compared to Buerhle quite a bit. As far as Buerhle goes, I remember when he came up, I think he made his first start against the Angels and struggled. Not many people thought he was for real, although you couldn't deny his stats. It took him a while to adjust, and then in spring training he ended up winning a starters spot and all was history. Sometimes you just luck out. I do think the Sox liked him, but he never got the hype of players like Wells and Garland, mainly because its much harder to predict soft tossers.

The guy is a gamer. I know he has some serious issues too, but he plays baseball the way it was meant to be played, Hard. He isn't afraid to brush a guy back and I love that in a pitcher. I hate it when its the other team doing it, but when its your going doing it, I enjoy it, because the brush back sets up so many things for a pitcher. If you can't pitch inside, your not going to be good. Glavine is about the only guy that's been able to live on the outside corner and have a really good career. He does this because he has such good control, but even he ocassionally busts guys inside.
  22. Happy Bday Heather!!!!!!!! Hope you have a great one

Ya, I'm going to get to work on changing the color schemes on Monday and still have some things to do on the top graphic. Eventually I'll also have the new chatroom open. CW---Its just temporary, guests won't be able to post after today.
