  1. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 21, 2008 -> 11:05 PM) Talk about battle tested.. if Obama gets through this and WINS he can take on anything the Republicans will throw at him. The CLintons are JUST as bad as the republicans at dirty politics. I agree. Look, I hope that Obama can pull through. I just give him about a -15% chance now. NH brought up the dirty s***, and that was all she wrote.
  2. Well tomorrow we will go well into 11K territory, which is a drop well over 2K from the summer highs. The futures are looking at a 400 point drop. I almost am inclined to think we will have a "surprise" by the fed tomorrow morning. Maybe.
  3. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 21, 2008 -> 10:33 PM) Guilliani by a long shot. Then again Edwards has been the worst out of all of them. In an election screaming for someone to represent the middle of the country, after being cast as a moderate would could reach out to all, he runs as the farthest left liberal possible. Brilliant, and his campaign is circling the drain as we speak. Reddy's going to go all post(al) on you. Edwards is GEN-U-INE!
  4. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 21, 2008 -> 09:38 PM) The poll on CNN today has it a 4 way race with 3 percentage points separating the 4 big candidates, Huckabee, Guilliani, McCain, and Romney. Of course... CNN will say that all the way to the convention.
  5. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 21, 2008 -> 08:57 PM) Guilliani has exactly one delegate earned so far. Duncan Hunter, the dropout, has two. Guiliani is an idiot and well out of his league. Goodbye and good riddance, on a national stage.

    MLK Day

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Jan 21, 2008 -> 07:07 PM) It's Martin Luther King day, in case you didn't know why you had off today.... (I don't....yeah, figure out that one) You must be the only bank in America that is working today.
  7. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jan 21, 2008 -> 08:23 PM) The biggest reason to use N is not the speed, its the ability to drive the signal through the walls via MIMO and the lack of people in the neighborhood using 5 gigahertz. On my block we started off a 2 years ago with me and one other guy using wireless. Now its about 10 to 15 wireless networks running in the same neighborhood. Most people set up their wireless and dont touch it again. So when someone jumps on the same frequency, they wind up with dead spots in their house. The tip about WPA is a great one. Unless you want to have other people using your signal make sure you use WPA or WPA2. And if anyone thinks its difficult or no one would think of using your signal. I was at a party a few weeks ago where the father of my wife's friend who is 65 was telling us how he doesnt need broadband because one of his neighbors has it, and doesnt lock it down. So he is using it for free. Hmmm. I have my network encrypted, for sure... but I wonder if I have someone on the same frequency as me, because my laptop SUCKS balls right now at home, but when I hard wire it in, it flies. Time to change my frequency, or get a booster, one or the other.

    COmputer Help

I would suggest that you save it down a level (in terms of file type) just in case.
  9. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 21, 2008 -> 03:56 AM) And the GOP doesn't even pretend to include. Gotcha It was all those blacks, women, and gay candidates in the GOP that momentarily blinded me. Sorry. You really should learn your history.
  10. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 20, 2008 -> 11:54 PM) You are amazed that to be included with Democrates you have to be liberal? Would you also be amazed to learn to be a Republican you have to be conservative? Come on Kap, that shot just isn't fair. Each party has a set of beliefs and if you aren't in line with a majoriuty of them, you aren't really a member of that party. The difference is the Democrats are the ones that run around saying that they are the "party of inclusion".
  11. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Jan 20, 2008 -> 09:58 PM) He's as much a Democrat as Zell Miller is. And ya'll Democrats can't STAND Zell Miller. It amazes me how the party of inclusion will knock your ass off if you don't fall right in line with the liberal way of thinking.
  12. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jan 20, 2008 -> 05:38 PM) Key Dem leaders asking Bill to tone it down. Not.gonna.happen. Why? Because it's working. You all know I said Obama would get chewed up and spit out of the Clinton machine. Guess what? It's happening. Hardcore. The Clintons will not lose, or they will take EVERYONE down with them. Everyone knows it, including Obama himself.
  13. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 20, 2008 -> 04:32 PM) How? Basically, they were on McCain's bus until there was a chance that Huckabee was going to be the ® guy. Then, about Thanksgiving time, he (Huckabee) was the best thing ever (because in reality he was the worst thing ever). As soon as the "new media" absolutely crushed Huckabee and vetted his real stances (he's a f***ing jackass in an elephant's clothing) then all of a sudden McCain is now the glory boy again - for the same reason - he's a jackass in an elephant's clothes. That's also why you see so many left leaning people, even on this board, that would consider voting for him.
  14. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 20, 2008 -> 02:54 AM) A 2nd place finish would still be interpreted as a win for McCain. Because everything is. Gee Balta, you're starting to sound like Rush Limbaugh. Seriously, you're exactly right. McCain vs. Clinton is the MSM's wet dream, and they are making it happen.
  15. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 19, 2008 -> 10:02 PM) It's over. Obama needed 2 wins to be able to have a shot at closing the polling gap on Super Tuesday. Between the fact that NY is larger than IL and the fact that Hillary is winning in CA, Super Tuesday will wind up going solidly to her. This was 95% over when those few thousand voters in New Hampshire picked her. Today just sealed it. I hope Bloomberg runs. I said when I saw the "comeback" in NH that the race was done. And this just solidifies it. Hillarity is our next president.
  16. We get some pretty decent bonuses, especially if we exceed budget.
  17. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 19, 2008 -> 06:50 PM) EXACTLY. People seem to think Obama was saying he liked Reagan's policies. Nothing like that came out of his mouth. He praised Reagan's ability to bring people to other and to read the country and know they want to go another rout and TAKE them there. I agree with your point. However, you just do not give ANY credit to Ronald Reagan for ANYTHING if you are a Democrat. Reagan's ability to lead, love him or hate him, is what made his presidency stand out. I recognize that is what Obama meant, but that's fodder for the Clinton Machine to spit him up, through, and out the spin machine.
  18. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 19, 2008 -> 03:27 PM) Bill really isn't doing himself any favors during this election cycle. The fact that they are up there talking about how important Hillary's "experiences" are this time, when in 1992 we were supposed to ignore that in Bill, really bothers me. My main point was that Obama is giving credit to Ronald Reagan, which is a mortal sin to democrats.
  19. Holy s***. *click* *click* *click* *click* ... ... ... I think I just saw political russian roulette being played before my very eyes.
  20. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 18, 2008 -> 07:15 PM) The wife and I should be on a mountain somewhere in New Zealand on the 14th of Feb. (no NZ flag available) Wow, nice!

    MBA

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 18, 2008 -> 04:05 AM) I have to admit, I'm not sure I'm comfortable doing that in the public forum. Oh I agree, I would have it severely edited.
  22. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jan 18, 2008 -> 08:33 PM) Is there a list of things that I will be allowed to spend my check on? Is my wedding excluded? Oh no... I really didn't mean that as a slam against you, sorry if you took it that way. I like it, in fact.
  23. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jan 18, 2008 -> 08:18 PM) Of course. Going towards the wedding budget. That's nice. Us high wage earners (HAH!) will be subsidizing your wedding now. Seriously, that's funny.
  24. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 18, 2008 -> 08:23 PM) I have more respect for someone who slips into this country, illegally, and works hard to provide for his family and does not break any other laws than someone who legally sits on his ass and waits for the government check to arrive. I believe that working hard is closer to the American way than legally collecting a public aid check. Wow, there's a nice thought. That's pretty profound, actually...
  25. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 18, 2008 -> 08:13 PM) I hit on something with my son when he was younger. We always tried to turn a negative into a positive by using it as a teaching moment and seeing what we could learn from that mistake. Most people can learn from their mistakes, but how many people really learn something from their successes? Not many, unfortunately. I try to look at both and improve at both.
