  1. I would say the polls in California showing Obama opening up a lead are about worth as much as, say, certain polls in New Hampshire. I don't need to say any more then that. Obama's going to get a Hillarity reality check today.
  2. QUOTE(Misplaced_Sox @ Feb 3, 2008 -> 09:18 PM) Clinton Campaign on Health Care Conference Call 2/1/2008 2:51:42 PM Earlier today, the Clinton campaign held a conference call to discuss the Obama campaign's negative health care mailer, which is reminiscent of Harry and Louise ads used by industry to defeat universal health care in the early 1990s. At the end of the call, Howard Wolfson made the following statement: "I heard someone make a reference to a march in Skokie in comparison to the photograph in the mailer which is not a comparison that we would make. And everyone on the call is obviously very passionate about this issue, and rightfully so, but that is not a comparison that we would make." These remarks were made by a health care expert unaffiliated with our campaign. They were totally inappropriate and the campaign rejects them completely. I expect an apology for your misuse of information. Perhaps you can actually go and read stuff for yourself. That's priceless.
  3. Hell F**CKING YES! EAT s*** NEW ENGLAND!!!! Cocky motherfu**ckers went DOWN, and their fans and Billy peckerhead B are just as "classy"....
  4. *dreams, sweet dreams* I'll be looking for my picture of a crow Wednesday morning if it comes true for you Obama hopers.
  5. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 2, 2008 -> 06:34 PM) I bet if this was a story about Canadians going somewhere for health coverage, the other side would be all over it. Dental insurance is not medical insurance, and far from it. My inlaws who live in New Mexico go to Mexico all the time for this very reason. But they certainly don't go to Mexico to have a major surgical procedure done.
  6. QUOTE(rowand's rowdies @ Feb 1, 2008 -> 11:09 PM) Fock you guys. Keep on living like sheep. "he has good ideas, but he stopped being relevant about 60 seconds after he opened his mouth." not to compare him to Jesus, but to a lesser degree there is a correlation. Nice analogy, and thanks for making my point even more. Ron Paul is *USELESS* in this race. It's too bad that you all can't get yourselves over that tiny little *FACT*.
  7. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Feb 1, 2008 -> 04:14 PM) I await the day when Paul slips back into the anonymity of nothingness. Raising this type of money just to have a man make crazy comments and goofy faces while not have any chance of winning is wasteful. You would be better of giving that money to Cancer Research or some other good cause. These Internet bombs are in the same spirt as the emails from Nigeria telling you of riches of the prince if you only give them your savings account number. In the end you lose your money, and it doesnt go to anything. Here are few of the Paul supporters who state they are taking over the Republican party. These are the same goofs who chased after Hannity screaming obscenities. Luntz is not the reason that Paul is losing. Neither is fox news. Its because people dont connect with his message. Stop it with the facts. These people are RIGHT, dammit! Paul stopped being relevent about 60 seconds after he opened his mouth. Some of his theories he speaks of are good, but HE is not relevant today, period.
  8. I saw this in the headlines this morning. It's a pretty interesting risk.
  9. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 1, 2008 -> 10:11 AM) Under the heading of BIG endorsements, The Atlantic suggests that Gore may endorse Obama. They note that Gore and Obama talk regularly, and Obama has oddly left Tennessee, a significant SDOGPEIT prize, off his current travel itinerary. --- Seperately, under the heading of UNWANTED endorsements... Ann Coulter says she would vote for Hillary over McCain because Hillary is "more conservative" and "would be stronger on the war on terror". It's true. When's the last time McCain worked with the Republicans on ANYTHING? Tell the truth, that's why a lot of you people are looking at voting for him, because he acts more like a Democrat then the Democrats do.
  10. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 1, 2008 -> 08:15 AM) Watched the debate last night. Hillary is a slightly better debater, but, I'd call that particular debate a draw. Clinton started well, but as the debate went on, Obama's points got across more cleanly. Both were in top form though - that was fun to watch. Rex, about that Clinton 30 years of Bush/Clinton response... my first thought was, great line. Then it sat for a minute, and I saw the audience, and I think it may not have had a great effect after the initial applause. The fact of it sinking in with people. As I look at the candidates out there in both parties, I think to myself... ALL of these people are way better speakers and debaters than either Bush or Kerry from the '04 race. That's not hard to do, they both are not good public speakers.
  11. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 1, 2008 -> 08:02 AM) He needs to forget about money and start raising some votes. He is fading into oblivion faster than Bobby Brown. Like he had any momentum to "fade" to begin with... bunch of hot air is about it.
  12. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 31, 2008 -> 05:10 PM) I can't see anyway TB would take on Havlat. That just makes zero sense. I think a much more realistic deal would be Nik+Prospect to TB for Boyle. The rumor I heard that makes sense for TB is St.Louis for Turco. Wow,that would be pretty ballsy for Dallas.
  13. QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Jan 31, 2008 -> 01:20 PM) Kelly Pickler can sing, dance and parade in front of me any time she wants. Just ask Jordin Tootoo. :puke
  14. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 31, 2008 -> 02:27 PM) Stupid question, could Hillary choose Bill as her VP running mate? No. I read this somewhere based on Constitutional law... although they could challenge it. It would be something that is very unlikely.
  15. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 31, 2008 -> 02:04 PM) Bill Clinton - Allow More than Two Terms as Preisdent Sure... and he's going to find a way to make that happen. Asshole.
  16. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 31, 2008 -> 11:43 AM) I dont know the FULL influence of early voting. However, Hillary has been pushing it hard in CA the last few days. I think she knows something. I think early voting CLEARLY favors Clinton since she was the front runner. But, a late surge from Obama can make it pretty darn close. You're damn straight she does. Just remember, NH was going to be an Obama win... just like Obama's catching up now... signed, buzzkill.
  17. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 31, 2008 -> 07:08 AM) You can thank Ted Kennedy's endorsement for that one. Here is a scary thought. Staying close on SDOGPEIT would be a win for Obama, but with the polls shifting so dramatically now, Obama may actually have a shot at truly WINNING SDOGPEIT. An outside shot mind you, but still a shot. If that happens, Obama becomes the clear front-runner. In order to pull that off though, I think Obama probably needs Richardson and/or Edwards to endorse him this week. I think that endorsements don't mean s*** anymore... they just don't carry the weight they used to.
  18. *dreams, dreams, dreams* Establishment will win out on super Tuesday. The table is set for a huge Clinton victory. Pro-Union, huge states will not break for Obama. Why is that so hard to understand?
  19. QUOTE(3E8 @ Jan 30, 2008 -> 07:47 PM) Yeah I want to trade my life for someone else's just for the things left behind when they die. For me it's about the experiences, not the legacy. And winning a major tournament can't touch a super bowl championship with a 20-foot pole How can you compare a team sport with an individual sport? And don't tell me golf isn't a sport, because I can see this is where this is going. How would you know winning a super bowl, after you've thrown 5 incterceptions and sucked ass (just throwing out a hypothetical) and your defense wins you the game compare to winning as an individual over the best in the world at what you do, is better?
  20. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 30, 2008 -> 09:10 PM) No you wouldn't have. You stole that nickname from me! You're right, I did. Because it fits. I think I've called her Mrs. b**** for the last few years.
  21. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 30, 2008 -> 07:09 PM) Listen mister poopy-pants... for one thing, weren't you saying back in the fall we should all get used to the idea of it being Giuliani and Clinton? Second, this things is not anywhere near over, unless Edwards and Gore suddenly endorse Hillary - heck, Obama is in the lead in pledged delegates and all the polls show momentum swinging his way. Third, even if Obama's chances were almost zero (and they aren't that low yet), why on earth would we stop wanting it to happen? I know you are very familiar with history and all, but take a closer look - every so often, big things change. The torch gets passed off. And that might happen here. *smells pants* Damn, it stinks. I don't recall saying anyone would win the GOP nomination (I honestly don't remember, I could have, but I don't remember saying it), but I have certainly said since oh, about 2005 that Hillarity is going to be our next president.
  22. *sigh* When is everyone finally going to give up on this pipedream of Hillarity losing? It's not going to happen, folks.
  23. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 30, 2008 -> 05:20 PM) Edwards has been polling at roughly 10-15% in most states. The LA Times a week or so ago did a bit of polling and asked Edwards supporters who they would be more likely to support if Edwards dropped out, and Clinton had a slight lead in that regard. Moving those voters in bulk to either one or the other would make a big difference. In the national tracking polls, Obama's moved within single digits of Hillary since South Carolina (Florida clearly not included yet) so that might be enough to put him over the top, and it'd clearly make Hillary's lead insurmountable in 6 days barring her repeating those remarks she made that one time about a gas station. Currently, Edwards has 62 delegates, 26 pledged and 36 superdelegates. I think the pledged delegates would probably consider following him if he endorsed. The Superdelegates would likely do so, but there might be some stragglers. FWIW, Obama now totally dominates the online communities. That's rigged. It's kinda like Ron Paul getting the GOP nomination based on blog activity. You notice these idiots have STFU now?
