Kenny caught lightning in a bottle with the moves he made to bring us a title. Every move he made seemed to pan out well. As many have stated before me I'll be forever thankful for 2005. But its time for follow the Marlin blueprint and see if we can get back to the playoffs in 3-5 years. I know that seems like a lifetime to some of our youthful posters. Many of our forefathers lived n died rooting for hapless White Sox teams. It isn't that long when you keep it in perspective. So Kenny pull the trigger and do it right . There's a lot of holes to fill. Use google. "soxtalk" and CaliSoxFanViaSWside should bring you up quite a few hits.

Rex, the bottom line is this. Most people at the local levels just want the government to govern and not play this stupid ass political game. So yes, my point is they do NOT have enough to go on to impeachment at the local levels because of what I just said, but the stupid s***s that are in Washington are led by their fishlines attached to their heads by national level poltical hack organizations (see moveon.org) ... they want Bush impeached so bad they can taste it, so they have their "mock trials" like they did last fall just to appease these idiots. And again, don't think for a minute they wouldn't execute these "mock trials" if they coudln't. They want it bad, but there's not quite enough to go on, which is why the witchhunts continue on and on and on and on and on and on because eventually, they think they can get SOMEONE to trip up on some trivial thing and throw the book at them (see Scooter Libby). Therefore, so do the Dems in Washington because they see that as their ticket to more and more power. I argue that MOST (not all) these blowhards in Washington(in BOTH parties) don't give two micros***s about their local level politics except the 6 months before an election by and large because they get swept up in the disease and cesspool mentality that is Washington DC.

I respect Richardson for the most part, although there's a couple of things that have come out recently on his tax strategies that make me very sqeamish... but he at least has the credentials to be president. Obama... still just doesn't have it, IMO, and Clinton is Clinton. PUKE. Guiliani and Romney - blech. In my ideal world, a Richardson / Thompson race would be interesting - one that I think would be a hard decision...

But of course, to die hard leftys, GWB is a boob that needs impeached, and to the die hard rightys, Congress is only doing this to attack attack attack. As is always the case, the truth is somewhere in the middle. I hate our political climate today. It's nothing but a bunch of crap extreme policy.

I haven't listened yet, but I seriously doubt we stand pat. Having said that, almost anyone of any value whatsoever sucks ass, I'm not sure what we can get. Dye is starting to come around... so he can fetch something. I don't think anyone wants one of our starters (Javy or JC).
