  1. QUOTE(Soxy @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 02:07 PM) I didn't learn to get used to B's until graduate school. It's weird, I'm actually getting way better grades in this MBA program then I did in my master's degree at that "other place". Perhaps it's because I actually find this program RELEVANT.
  2. QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 05:48 PM) Send 'em more during the year and getting a bigger check, and a warning I am amazed by people (not you) who look at this like a savings account. They knowingly overpay during the year, giving a zero interest loan, and enjoying a big refund, that they reduce by paying for electronic filing and a cash advance. Why not pay the correct amount, put the oberpayment in a savings account, and earn interest? Yea, I agree with this. I plan on writing a check every year for between $1 and $500. That way I have my own money and pay them what I owe on my terms. The only thing that got me any refund at all is the Hope (Lifetime Learning) Credit.
  3. I actually got money back this year (albiet very small) for the first time in 5 years. Gotta love mortgages.
  4. Is it me, or do the people this year just suck compared to last year? I don't like any of them. And I'm not really watching this year beause of it.
  5. Mexico is the world's 5th largest economy. So, why is it again that their people are coming here like flies on s*** ILLEGALLY? Oh. Corruption. I almost forgot. Get that crap cleaned up and maybe they would want to stay there. :rollly
  6. Even though yesterday was a loss, I thought they looked ok. Pollite's pitch that landed in the seats was actually a damn good pitch. I didn't see Friday, I see from the comments that they looked like crap. So hopefully between yesterday and today's winner, they can get it going. You also have to remember that we're battling some injuries already, unlike last season at the start.
  7. Why is it that people feel that they have to have the last word in any disagreement? Is it that impossible to walk way from a thread before it escalates into some of the s*** I'm seeing here, and worse, what's not here? Drop it. Please. I enjoy both of your postings (whether or not I agree with each is something different, but to each their own), and I don't want to see either of you go. Please agree to disagree, and leave the personal s*** out of it. Thanks.
  8. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 07:10 PM) You are, as I understand it, correct. The NIE are classified by executive order, and thus the President should be able to change that by executive order. There is, however, a law which states that exposing the identity of an undercover operative is a crime, and even if Mr. Bush issued an executive order saying the opposite, the law would take precedence. And this "leak" that is being talked about is NOT the "exposing the identity of an undercover operative"... this is a different issue. However, it's good to see that the koolaid that the media has been putting out there is being drunk to connect the two. Apparently the perception is working.
  9. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 09:36 PM) Last time I checked Democrats don't kill babies. Although I will have to go over the notes of my last party meeting to make sure. Rex, that is what bothers me. I know you've stayed silent on the actual post above. It is EXACTLY this kind of buills*** that has created the "political divide" on both parties. And by you (silently) condoning what he has done, it adds fuel to the fire. The Republicans run around saying the Democrats don't give a s*** about our national security. The Democrats run around saying all the s*** that Carter spewed. They're both wrong. Period. Simply turning a blind eye to this crap is what's going more and more and more wrong with our government, past and present.
  10. actually a good hot dog at the ballpark with the onions and stuff doesn't need ketchup... but those crappy ones at the stores, etc. do.
  11. nacho libre - that's pretty appropriate for the immagration thread, isn't it?
  12. QUOTE(Soxy @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 02:43 PM) Awwwww, that's 2 Juggsian references today. We all miss him so much. Yea, someone got it!
  13. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 04:32 PM) I personally have been very surprised that the U.S. economy has managed to survive the first step upwards, from $20-$30 a barrel oil to $60-$70 a barrel. I'm not sure it can do that again. It absolutely won't. This whole thing is built on a house of cards that are about to tumble over.
  14. DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT I WANT TO BE THE ONLY ONE IN THE STADIUM AND STILL HAVE $100 MILLION IN PAYROLL! WAAAH! :rolly
  15. QUOTE(WCSox @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 03:26 PM) Funny, I thought that's what Spring Training was for. Ozzie's right, though. He knows a hell of a lot more about managing than any of us ever will. That said, I still think that he made a mistake on Wednesday. Funny - not all clubs have that luxury. Even the Sox. Spring Training don't mean s*** when it comes to the regular season. Logan had a great spring and punched his ticket back north. It certainly doesn't mean that he can't wet all over himself for the first couple of months here and be sent back. You have to put these kids in situations they have not been in before to see how they handle reality. Spring Training is far from reality, IMO.
  16. Look peoplel Ozzie did "stupid s***" all year last year and figured out what situations people will respond in, or WON'T respond in. You have to do this. Notice he didn't really screw around with stuff in the playoffs. It could be because then he knew how certain folks would respond. You HAVE to put these guys in that situation now to evaluate what your needs are. But that's ok. I'm sure everyone on here can manage better.
  17. We should all just walk. And not have jobs. And stay at home all day and surf the internet mindlessly. BECOME CYBORGS. ENOUGH OF THE FREEDOMS! CYBORGS USA! COME ON! SAY IT WITH ME!!!! CYBORGS USA CYBORGS USA
  18. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 11:09 PM) Which would be exactly the wrong thing to do. Oh, I agree - but I think they are setting up to say that Iraq was "infiltrated" by Iran - among other reasons - to start bombing the crap out of them.
  19. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 06:21 PM) I guess I used we in the larger sense. If left to its own devices, Iran will come in and take tactical advantage of the Iraqi situation. As scary as this sounds, I think that is exactly what some are aiming for, if you know what I mean. It gives us the excuse.
  20. This one is fun. I'll add more later.
  21. Who around here is good at looking at html code embedded in a javascript/flash file? Basically I'm trying to get at what the root file of a streaming video is that is embedded in a flash file on a website. Usually I can crack it, but this one I can't. PM me if you think you can help me and I'll give you specific URLs and the file I'm after. Kap
  22. Note to Kap: If you'd ever get off your ass and fix the f***ing database, you wouldn't have to see all these really good questions from people.
  23. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 05:30 PM) We don't have the option of "staying the course" either. We've done that and that is failing. What we have to do, is fulfill our responsibility to the people of Iraq. Which we aren't doing. So what would you do?
  24. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 09:26 PM) Im sorry, but when the guy in front of you walks to load the bases, you dont swing at the 1st pitch. I Think AJ was guessing get me over pitch to get ahead in the count.
  25. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 09:15 PM) pinch run thome then? no, lead runner on 2nd is all that matters. You need him if it goes extras.
