  1. Wow. I'm shocked. This tells me that the guy must be pretty stand up because he's getting bi-partisan support, except from dickheads like Sen. Reid. and Barbara "b****" Boxer.
  2. The power of positive thinking, er I mean the power of the rally crede!

    QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 01:53 PM) I don't think taping does much to stop the boing, since the tape is more flexible than the windowpane. What taping will do is keep a broken window more or less intact through the storm. That's my understanding at least. Gotcha. I don't think we'll need it this far inland, even at tropical storm force we should be fine.

    This one sort of reminds me of Gilbert, except it's further north.

    Nah, I won't board windows. But, I wonder if I should tape them so that they don't bow quite so much with that kind of sustained wind. We shouldn't be that bad off.

    Holy s***! This thing is going to be just like Katrina when it hit, and we are still right in the bullseye as it moves inland. The forecasts are for 50 mph sustained winds with higher gusts here for a period of 6-8 hours. Ugh.
  7. I have some things in mind... but I'm terribly busy right now. I'll do my best to get some things done this weekend.
  8. Just got home... IT's THE RALLY CREDE! YEEEE HOOOOOOOOO!
  9. QUOTE(Wealz @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 07:56 PM) If the Sox pull the historic collapse Kenny Williams has to lose his job. Nice try. But he won't be. Next, Fire Ozzie. Nice try. But he won't be. Next, GET A BAT. Nice try. And that will probably happen.
  10. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 07:50 PM) Sorry, you didn't edit your post correctly, and I fixed it for you.
  11. This is the funniest thread ever. At least in Palehose.
  12. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 06:48 PM) cleveland sucks Nice.

    I was just talking to someone and I said that this thing was going to be a Cat 4 before it's over... maybe even get near a cat 5. If it does that, even us up here better watch out. Maybe I seriously should go get some more stakes and stuff for the trees.
  14. I'm in, baby! Time to kick the curse of the billy goat right between the nads... Oh wait a minute, wrong team.
  15. well, it's 102 outside (or will be) but nonetheless, our first preseason hockey game is tonight. it'll be good to see the boys back out there on the ice.

    Looks like here so far, although maybe not a storm, just a depression at that point... which is ok by me.
  17. I know we all disagree, but I will say that even though we're in a really crappy stretch, we're all in this together, win, lose, or draw. DRAW!
  18. QUOTE(POPPY_HIDALGO @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 02:52 PM) Tonights game can't come soon enough. All of the sudden it seems like everyone around me is a die hard Indians fan. This isn't Major League people. Damn, Poppy, lightning strike you?

    The models now have it going a LITTLE further south and then curving up toward just west of Dallas/Fort Worth. If this happens, we get the heaviest of what's left - which means Tropical Storm and Tornadoes. They keep telling us to expect tropical storm strength winds Saturday night and Sunday morning.
  20. Good post. Half of you sniveling babies sound like Cub fans. Listen (read) to yourselves. This stretch sucks, no doubt about it. I, for one, am pulling for them to pull through and not chanting "chokers, losers, collapse!!!". What horses***. In retrospect, come October 3, we might have indeed choked. But we need to give them our support until they REALLY DO choke.
  21. OOOOHHHH! It's the sock puppet, I mean POOOOOOOPY making an appearance!

    QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 01:21 AM) I heard Ray Nagin say he's heard a report saying it will head north into Louisiana just east of N'Orleans. Nearly all of the models are now in agreement that Galveston and Texas City are right in line for a direct hit. They also expect Houston to have widespread damage. They say 120 mph winds are likely by Thursday and from there they're not sure. The thing is once it gets out over the gulf waters NOT effected by Katrina, it will strengthen just as much as Katrina, I fear.
  23. Woah! WTF! I am in stats class and I was bummed, and now, WOOO HOOO! I had no idea. Good comeback. Now we MUST win this game.
