5 over my ass in rural areas. Nah, I understand what you mean. It's more laid back and less urgency to get to where you need to go.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 20, 2005 -> 01:34 PM) Hopefully, both McCarthy AND Frank will be playing for the Sox next season. I think you can count on that one.

I'm going to be gone all weekend, so you bastards and bastardettes better cheer loud, pround, and beat those Scrubbies. :fthecubs -
QUOTE(TheBigHurt35 @ May 19, 2005 -> 08:45 PM) I'm glad I moved to Texas recently, where I don't have to put up with asshole Illinois drivers going 20 over the limit and the Draconian traffic laws that have been implemented because of them. Are you f***ing crazy? The drivers are just as bad down here. OH s***, there's my EXIT! across 5 lanes of traffic to hit the frontage roads. I never do that... BTW - you going to the game(s) next weekend?

This is the first time I've said anything on these forums about this but I have a cousin that's over there right now in the Sunni Triangle. Some of the stuff she's sending is amazing - the work that our soldiers are doing. It's not all roses, they are in some pretty difficult circumstances over there right now. But, the portrayal of certain things are just plain not right. And I'm glad I'm getting pieces of the truth. She can't say a lot because she's one of the higher ups, but I'm encouraged by her tone every time I get an email from her.

I think that this is f'in bullsh*t. They shouldn't be allowed to do this crap. I know that everyone says that this is for safety, and while I agree that highway construction zones are no place to go 80 mph, giving out standardized tickets is a bunch of crap too.

I don't, seriously. But the tornado client is the one I have seen used the most.

Just saw an article about it being on bittorrent already. That was fast.

Muslims beleive the Quran to be THE word from God... even more so then our bible, meaning we in the western world view that the bible was written by chosen ones - muslims believe no intermediary was involved - therefore each copy is sacred. If we throw a bible away and go pick up another one, most in the western world don't give it a second thought. EVERY copy of the Quran is sacred and to not be desacrated (sp). So - when you do that, you really piss off some people. And rightly so if they're doing it purely for reaction.

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ May 19, 2005 -> 06:06 PM) And never underestimate the atheletic prowess of farm boys.... you got some personal experience in that area?

QUOTE(rafacosta @ May 19, 2005 -> 06:10 PM) Snow? Ok, I can live with that! Here is so hot all yar long that a cold weather will do no harm. Actually, I have never see snow before . 95 F in the summer? I think that it is equivalent to 35 C...not so bad...usual summer here in my city. as a point of reference, where are you in brazil?

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ May 19, 2005 -> 06:05 PM) >>> And yes, that is actual whale s***. WOW. A picture of whale s***... this board has sunk to new lows.

QUOTE(rafacosta @ May 19, 2005 -> 06:01 PM) Is there any good bars? Sometimes it is good to have some beers and know few girls And the weather? I believe that in the winter it is not that cold. I know it is 100 miles from Houston and 130 from Dallas. College Station might have a few bars... And in the winter it gets cold enough to snow maybe once and that's about it. highs in the 50's F in the winter but in the summer it's 95+ F every day

QUOTE(TheBlackSox8 @ May 19, 2005 -> 05:59 PM) ummmm...it is LITTLE LEAGUE, in a farm community.....How many players do you think are as good as her.....not many. So you would expect someone so good would dominate so much. Not much of a competition in farm communities obviously. I'm not doubting her talent, I'm just doubting the talent of the competition. That may be true, but I can also tell you that those farm boys can play some ball - there's at least one pretty decent boy on every team. To blow through a team like that is still pretty special.

Rafa - Agriculture economics is not my field of specialty, but in the grad school I'm in currently, there are people that have spoken very highly of A&M's program in this area.
-
It mentions her batting average - .714 at the plate after three games. Daaaaayyyyuuuummm (again). Don't get mad at me, ladies, but once she hits 13-14, I doubt baseball is in her interest... although maybe it should be. She'll end up playing softball.

Well, I'm from there - but a good one to PM is Sox4LifeinPA because he went to A & M.

I just wanted to clear something up............

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 19, 2005 -> 12:39 PM) Actually the interesting thing that I was told is that they teach umps to listen for the sounds involved in a close play, as they are more dependable than what the umps see. They listen for mitt and ball, and the foot hitting the bag in order to decide safe or out usually. That is why ususally you see an ump hestitate for a couple seconds to make a call. When I umped that one summer that was what one of the guys told me. LISTEN for the close plays. -
QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ May 19, 2005 -> 03:50 PM) Seriously. I bet she got taken out for ice-cream afterwards. I bet all the dudes are too scared to ask her out. Oh wait, this is an 11 year old we're talking about. Wait until she's 16. She's gonna be highly sought after. Hehe.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 19, 2005 -> 03:25 PM) My co worker's review: TOO dialogue heavy, corny and poorly written, great action, but not enough. From purely a critical point of view, that can be said for all 6 episodes. But there is not a lot better when it comes to a story and the imagination, which is why it's so successful (well among other things).

Daaaayyyyyuuummmm! She STRUCK OUT EVERYONE? :o :o GOOD JOB!
