Dayum, 2:00 and the game is in the 6th already? -
You also have to remember that GM is WAAAAAY bigger then GM- the auto manufacturer. Finance Hughes (did they sell that yet) - DirectTv? I don't think so... mortgages etc etc etc

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 5, 2005 -> 05:19 PM) And the thing is the UAW has minimum employee numbers written into their contracts, and are refusing to renogitate them before they are to end in 2007. GM and F's only options if they want out is to declare bankruptcy. Yea, but I will tell you that these union guys better enjoy the fat pig now... because it's ending then, if not before. I know way more about how to skirt union contracts in bankruptcy then I ever wanted to... To this day, you have pilots out there that claim to be the ones that brought Eastern Airlines down. What a badge of honor... "my union shut the muthaf***a down!!!" Sometimes people don't get it.

It's not suddenly a problem. It's been an issue, that frankly, has been left unaddressed too long. We've tried to leave things very open, and we will try to continue this as much as possible, because we want you all to be able to express yourself accordingly. But I am prefacing that things might need to be tightened in this regard. Relax... we're not trying to become signature/av jerks, but at the same time, this has been an ongoing issue for a long time now and we will start responding if we need to. Kap

OUCH. This is the last thing these companies needed. I will tell you now, that the same things that have happened in the airline industry is about to happen with the auto mfg (read renegotiations on the union contracts). Granted, GM is way bigger then AMR, for example, but still... plant closings and the like is the only thing that will save this company. (edit - in the long term).

Guys (and gals, but mostly to the guys who like to argue this point): Some of the things posted on this site are going to have to be cleaned up. Period. It often seems like it's a game to see who can get away with what. We've been pretty lenient about this stuff, but as we look around, as Heads alluded to, this is not the place for some half-baked hormonal folks to get off. You can do that on your own time, and not here. We will try to be respectful to you all as long as you are respectful to us. That's all we ask. If you're asked to remove something, there's usually a pretty good reason for it. Let's not make this a personal flame war, and try to mind the image you're presenting. Thanks for your attention, and if you have issues, PM me.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 5, 2005 -> 02:40 PM) So the question is... WITHOUT SEARCHING, how many people know what Cinco de Mayo celebrates? I do. But I won't spill it.
-
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 5, 2005 -> 02:39 PM) This has to be the ultimate Cinco de Mayo... 05/05/05 Woah... good catch.

Me either. I'd krash the party, too. Publicly, and I know this is a game thread, but it hasn't started... so... BEST WISHES, STEFF. /and go to the damn game for those of us who can't. -
It's now the "booty bill". LMAO But LCR, why is it the school's job to come up with a "comprehensive sex ed class"? Schools should have no part in that, it should be done at home. That's the major problem, IMO. We want the schools to be society's babysitters, sex ed teachers, psychologists, behavior changers, food providers, etc. Frankly that's the majority of the problem is that families (read, parents) do not take enough responsibility. But I could say the same for our government too, because too many people want our government to do the same things.
-
So you don't see a problem with using taxpayer money to pay off violations of the law? Yea, it's petty, but I also think that if you are going to cast stones, you better have a pair of stones in this environment, because they're all f'ed up.
-
oh the travesty. No bump and grind anymore for the kiddos. Hell, you can learn some things from these kids if you watch them, and that's sad as hell if you think about it.
-
AND southsiders? WTF is wrong with you, Tex?
-
On second thought, maybe one of the shortest train rides home ever.
-
That is HYSTERICAL. Personally, as corrupt as they ALL are, they shouldn't be throwing rocks at each other. It's stupid. The most powerful are the ones being targeted because they all covet what the other has. Capitol Hill has become the largest case of penis envy I have ever seen, and every year it gets worse. And that includes Nancy Pelosi, who wishes she had a penis so she could be more powerful. /that's not a knock on women, that's a knock on Pelosi before I get ripped to shreds.
-
QUOTE(mreye @ May 4, 2005 -> 02:29 PM) Yeah, she had to post her pictures in the Hot Chick thread to get your attention. LMAO. I bet that was a long train ride home that night.

No s***... that guy just got a free pass to not marry a psycho. Seriously, if I were him I would always wonder when she left the house if she would come back after this stunt. Then fast forward 15 years and she has a couple of (nearly) 10 year olds. That's stress, not a wedding. Is she going to run then? Meh, but I don't know her. I shouldn't be making judgements like this, should I? History, however, does tend to repeat itself somehow.
-
Wow. (wonders if Kap should type this)... That is one hamburger that would cause some massive ... um .... nevermind.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 3, 2005 -> 01:08 PM) They aren't selling nearly as many tickets as the glory days. PLus those seats are expensive! Gotta make money from the one team that can make the playoffs in Chicago.

QUOTE(YASNY @ May 3, 2005 -> 03:25 PM) So, I guess Eddie George is done, eh? I hope so. That was a worthless signing last year. So was Drew Henson and Vinny Testaverde, but ya know.
