QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 03:53 PM) ...so when he was getting his driver's license, she was being born? There's some perspective right there. But when you're 42, you'd want that if you have the chance.

The Republic of Texas will be glad to know that plenty of kids stomped them down before we ever got there. The second picture is good but I thought the first one was killer.

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 03:18 PM) We've had just under $1600 in "just in case" tests run on him.. The bladder infections were all they found. Yea, THAT I can definitely relate to. I'm sorry, Steff. It sucks when you realize that the day has come.- The Italian Beef Sandwich
So anyone have a au jus (sp) recipe? There's all kinds of that you can make. Edit: I feel like this thread is turning into a Martha Stewart thread... :headshake- The Italian Beef Sandwich

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 03:03 PM) I tried keeping him alone and retraining him.. it worked for 2 weeks. It’s almost like he’s doing it out of spite. We have completely altered our house for him. Put up a net so he couldn’t get to the places he was messing.. put down foil (he just moved it out of his way). And even gave him Prozac (or something like it for cats) and that didn’t work. I don’t want to cage him for 2 months. He’s extremely social and IMO that would kill him. I have called a zillion places but he’s declawed all the way around.. and he’s 9.. he’s set in his ways and is not really all that fond of kids so I don’t want to place him with another family. I know I’m doing the right thing for my sanity.. I am struggling with him not really having an ailment. If he had cancer or something I might be better with this. But we can’t do it anymore. It’s stressing me out so bad that I have become OCD like in doing a walk thru the house every morning and when we come home. It sounds like you've done a lot. The only thing that you might check is the sugar level of the cat. Other then that, you've done a lot - and you can take comfort in that. It's a hard decision...- Sniff, sniff...
I had to put my cat down that I've had for 10 years back in January. She was the sweetest cat. You can be there with them, but I couldn't stomach it. They don't feel anything, and it's pretty quick. Sorry to hear that Steff, I definitely know what it's like, having just done it a couple of months ago. Take care of yourself. And just enjoy Sam's company until you go. He'll enjoy yours, too, and that's what matters. edit: you can try some things - if all it is is a bladder infection. I can also tell you that it sounds like your cat might be diabetic. You can treat it, if you wanted. I know way more about this then I want to. Are his eyes kind of glassy? And, they make some powder that attracts cats to go to the bathroom... It all depends on how much you would want to spend. If it's diabetic, it would cost about $20 a month average for the stuff to take care of him. And they do not feel a thing. My other cat feels great after regulating her sugar levels.- Coming up on the Dan Patrick Show
QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 06:49 PM) Mariotti says Free Agents would love to play for Ozzie. I am in shock. Wow. No s***! I have NEVER heard that about the Sox. That means things are changing.- The Sky is Falling
Actually - you want a comparison? The 2003 Royals? Naaah. Try the '84 Tigers. We can all dream that's the way this season ends up for the Sox, eh?- CBSsportsline power rankings
Freeze frame this baby, cause you won't ever see it again.- Going Nuclear
QUOTE(winodj @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 08:26 AM) Read that again. Schumer was NOT talking about the filibuster, but rather the practice by the GOP controlled Congress of keeping judicial nominees from getting a hearing. One out of three judicial nominations during Clinton's second term stayed off the bench because the Congress never put the confirmation of these nominations on its legislative agenda to begin with. There is a big difference between what the GOP did to stifle Clinton appointees and what the Democrats do to block nominations. BS. At the end of the day, it's the same partisan crap. Any means necessary.- 2005 White Sox are the 2003 KC Royals
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 11:24 PM) I think you know better. LMAO. I know that we're better then 2003 KC. Hell, ESPN still has a hard on for that team two years later.- The Sky is Falling
I don't think the sky is falling, but I certainly don't think this is a 110 win team, either. That's all my point is, and I think 99 out of 100 people here will agree with me.- The House of Cards Dilemma
QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 07:35 PM) There's a big difference. Yours is based ALMOST entirely on your subjective opinion. It practically ignores stats entirely. You, on the other hand, have a statisical score for the exactness of the rolls on a pile of dogs*** on a sidewalk. I bet you count the # of times it bounces when it hits. How about a happy medium?- The House of Cards Dilemma
I'd like to add to my comments about the schedule - we pretty much close the season against the same teams we opened it with. That bodes well for us heading for the pennant races and hopefully into October. August is the gut check month, IMO, though. - Men Dig Up Buried Treasure Worth $100,000
