  1. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 18, 2005 -> 04:55 PM) One other think I wanted to ask.. do you guys down there hire special coaches for football..? Up here (when I was in HS and we went to state) the football coach was the male PE teacher.. Tex.. my one girlfriends daughter is 3 sport (basketball, vollyeball, and track). Is it different for girls down there? They do hire coaches just to coach. Their contract I think fits them into PE but that's all they do.
  2. Yea, I drive by the Southlake Carroll Dragons Stadium every day on the way to work. That is to say, your 2004-2005 NATIONAL CHAMPION Southlake Carroll Dragons. That place is big. And their practice facility is all indoors. FOR A HIGH SCHOOL!
  3. LMAO. MSNBC has the "smokecam" set up. That is priceless.
  4. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 18, 2005 -> 12:44 PM) Did you know on January 1st 2005, how much in losses/gains you are going to declare on April 15, 2006? If so, I have to say I am impressed. Yea, I bet on January 1, 2005, you knew that you were going to have a kid, look into getting a house, etc. etc. etc. Granted these are positive tax effects but the point is you cannot anticipate everything that happens. And my point was what mreye posted. Why the hell does the government control so damn much of our money? Oh, because it's boobs out there that expect handouts for EVERYTHING.
  5. My wife went to Permian. I know more about it then I want to. And the movie and the book are somewhat accurate, although some of it is juiced up to sell, I think.
  6. QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Apr 15, 2005 -> 08:31 PM) just a suggestion.... HAVE MORE TAKEN OUT OF CHECK ALONG THE WAY!!! That's all well and good, but some things happen along the way that you don't count on.
  7. QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 17, 2005 -> 11:29 PM) I realize that. Here's a big and a few just for you. LMAO. I didn't mean for it to be taken quite that way. There are a lot of admins and mods that have very specific funtions, that's all I was trying to say. But thanks anyway!
  8. Some of us just keep things running. That's all.
  9. QUOTE(DetroitWhat @ Apr 17, 2005 -> 02:05 PM) Haha, that was me...sorry guys Division rivals, what do ya expect? Great site BTW... Why you little...!!! Welcome aboard!! : It's going to be nice to talk to some folks from the dark side(s).
  10. Everyone said the same thing about Japan 15 years ago. Enough said.
  11. So speaking of those Blue Jays, it's off to the Rangers/Toronto game tonight for me. Got some gold club comp tickets. Nothing like a good ole baseball game on a warm April night in Texas.
  12. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 15, 2005 -> 04:48 PM) Did you still need that MC class info? BTW good luck and make me proud. I don't know yet. I think the reason I didn't get credit for the last class is because I had a c+ in it, f'in Gilbert still haunts my ass. But I'm going to say that since I have a CPA they should exempt me from it anyway. Let's see how that flies.
  13. If today were election day, 3/4's the pukes wouldn't be there. Nothing like making a huge fat ass check out to the IRS. :fyou

    The Birth Test

    3/29/1973 3 + 29 + 1973 = 2005 2 + 0 + 0 + 5 = 7 7 = The intellectual. Meh.
  16. Well, gang, I start classes for my MBA in two weeks. I got some of my other classes from my other grad degree to transfer, which I guess is good. No soxtalk time for me... I better put the parental lock on this site so I don't waste all my time here. Should be interesting, at any rate.
  17. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 06:28 PM) I'm no shrinking violet....
  18. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 04:56 PM) No, but Bob looks good in a veil You don't say?
  19. That city is 5 miles from me. I heard the tape this morning and about died laughing. That's wrong, but oh well.
  20. I agree. The Sox usually warm up at the plate as the temp rises...
  21. Yea, the same thing happened to me. And I just got a refund from our escrow account, just in time to turn around and hand it right over to Uncle Sam. Nice see the money, and nice to hand it right over.
  22. There's a lot of interesting moves being thought about now. They are talking of expanding the playoffs to 20 teams, which remember that the playoffs is where higher revenues are made. They think they can make up some of the lost revenue this way. They'd have a first round best of three series with 8 teams and the other 12 getting rest before they take on the winners coming out of the short series. Also, the union is considering a deal that would link between 24 million and 42.5 million in payroll and the players would get more of the share if the revenues were higher. My honest answer to that one is BULL f***ING s*** because that is essentially the deal that was on the table right beofre the season was called. When y'all see that rumour, call it bull s***, until you see it out. The door has crackead a little supposedly - like they're trying to get some framework in place before the GMs meet next week to talk about using replacement players. There might be more pressure to get a deal done then it looked just a couple of weeks ago. We'll see.
  23. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 05:51 PM) Why are US civilians still there? :headshake Real reason? Beeyotch betta have my mooooooney...
  24. Having went to Tampa last year to see the finals, I sure as hell miss it too. And here's hoping that Florida wins a cup someday soon, cause if they do I get to spend a day with Mr. Stanley. /drools
