Scoring Change
News Cubs pitcher Mark Prior owned a 3.00 ERA following his June 6 start against the Brewers, but official scorer Wayne Franke changed that stat on Wednesday. Franke ruled that shortstop Craig Counsell's sacrifice bunt was a single, thus changing four unearned runs into four earned runs. "You can't do anything about it because it's not up to us," Prior told the Associated Press. "The intent was a sacrifice and that's what it was, but it doesn't matter." Prior's ERA now stands at 4.00. Views Fantasy owners should be none too happy about the ruling, as it obviously jacks up Prior's ERA. Alas, there is not anything Prior's owners can do to change the stat.

This team some bats
Struggle? Go on a losing streak much more then this and I'll come up with another word. They have to shake this and get some momentum into the ASG break. I'll leave it at that.

Just to show you...
Good question. I really can't stand either candidate. But, this "reach out to the world so all our problems will be solved" platform that Kerry is running on (yea, the UN is sooooooooo helpful), not to mention, he and Mr. Edwards are the richest Democratic ticket in HISTORY while talking about how they're going to help the "poor, helpless middle class American" BY RAISING OUR TAXES is enough to make me want to completely upchuck my Wheaties. With Bush (well, really, his administration, because the dude has not had an original idea in his life), you know what you get. He tells us what's going to happen, and he does it. I disagree with much of his policy, but you generally know what he stands for, even if wrong. There's 1,000 more things I can pile on here, but Bush (or what he represents) to me is a lesser of two terrible candidates. In fact, I will add some more to this later.

Could you pass the US citzenship test?
Too late, I already closed it out. 11/11, of course.

Could welfare reform be taming inflation?
But he was smart enough to know to go along with it. He did the right thing. He had enough votes had he vetoed it it would have gotten shut down. For once, I'm giving the dude some credit. Leave me alone!

Esteban Loaiza
If Chan Ho Park weren't on the books here in Texas, daaaaymmmn they would have a TON of room to make some decent moves this year. Since they are on the hook for the fatass contract, they can't do much, but nonetheless they are still looking good this season, and you can partially thank the Sox for that. As far as Esteban, there's no way he commands that kind of money. He's posturing, using the media, and *cough, cough* it ain't gonna work. BTW, the Sox are in town right after the ASG, looking forward to watching them play...

Could welfare reform be taming inflation?
Interesting read. So, a good majority of those "low wage jobs" that left people complain about have actually been replacements to welfare handouts? But Clinton did that. BTW, that was one of Clinton's best moves as a president IMO. That was a great piece of work by Clinton. It also led to more employment, which made the 90's %'s look that much better...not that that is a bad thing, but it does raise the specter of a different way of looking at the numbers, doesn't it?

From the man's mouth himself
good point, but I just don't get that he's worth $15million a year average. Sounds like they are trying for: 12 13 14 15 16 And yea, the way they write contracts now (front end light, back end heavy, 16mill is a lot to cough up) Do you think the Sox are being forthright or is this a campaign by management to make him look bad? Or both?

From the man's mouth himself
Just a reminder, they better find a way to NOT need him, because Maggs doesn't need Chicago. That's becoming painfully obvious. BTW, :fyou agents. His agent is the one filling his head with this crap, not Maggs himself.

Gephart defeats Edwards
NY Post sell Kerry-WHOEVER, you're kidding, right? That's the most right-winged propaganda newspaper in the country.

Just to show you...
That was hardly talked about. Kissenger would have been a good one IMO to head that up. Politics is in shambles. No one is represented without money. No one. I have several examples from where I work. Both parties, both ways, both sides, up and down, fowards and backwards, the modus appredus is how much money can you give me, and we'll fix your problem. :puke :fyou government.

Yea, hence my point from another thread, THEY ALL DO IT. (I think I'm going to change my name to theyalldoit.)

computer assistance needed
It sounds like you have a mouse stuck. Do you have that little thing in the middle (the dial) on your mouse? If you push down on it it can do that... double click it like you would your mouse and see if that does any good.

Here's a small list compiled for GWB (I can see both sides, thank you): Bush opposed the creation of the 9/11 commission. Then, he turns around and supports it. Bush said Condleeza Rice wouldn't testify before the 9/11 commission, then orders her to testify. Bush opposed the Department of Homeland Security, then he supports. Bush vows to go after Osama and bring him in dead or alive, then he goes after Saddam Hussein, saying, "I truly am not that concerned about him". Bush says gay marriage is the state's right to decide, then calls for a constitutional amendment barring them. Bush is against an Iraq WMD investigation; then he's for it. Bush was for fingerprinting and photographing Mexicans who enter the US. Bush after meeting with Pres. Fox, he's against it and, in fact, wants to ease border restrictions. Bush first says he'll provide money for emergency first responders, then he doesn't. Bush first says that "help is on the way" to the military, then he cuts benefits. Then there's No Child Left Behind, Patients' Bill of Rights, the enviroment, carbon dioxide transmissions and a whole gaggle of other things. The point is, there's so many facets of this election, and people saying what everyone wants to hear. They both suck, but what can we do?
