I didn't, you just did. Each stands alone, in this case. Why does "liberalism" have to equate intelligence?
-
Only 9 out of 10 of the above are true...
-
Wow, that's terrific news. But it does create an interesting dilemma in the "us vs. them" scenario...
-
You couldn't hold Dan Quayle's jock on a bad day, to quote, "dumbass". The man is VERY intelligent, but he was not a good speech person - hence where everyone smacks him down. He had a ton of good ideas, and was one of the best intended folks I can remember in Washington, before all the crap with the media caught up to him. Tort reform Family issues, which Clinton championed, were largely brought to the forefront by Quayle. He was a "true" conservative, not what we have in the White House today, that's for darn sure. I could go on, but I better get something accomplished since I have piddled half the day away...

This really is great news. I can't remember a time where they just balls out went after someone like this...

Huntington. I was there for when they showed up, GWHB and Quayle, in front of the courthouse because my dad worked at the building across the street at the time. What a circus. The media tore him a new one that day... That was really my first experience in remembering the bias of the media. I would have been 15. It all came together that day... Here was a guy with humble background just getting his ass kicked over, even at 15, what I thought was stupidity. But, I guess I could have looked at it differently... but that wouldn't be any fun, would it?
-
I knew that was coming from somewhere out there.
-
By the way, doesn't this remind you of Dan Quayle in '88 as a pick? A Jr. Senator, who has little experience? But I bet your bottom dollar that Edwards won't get crucified like Quayle did...

Whose streak was most impressive?
kapkomet replied to greasywheels121's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I voted Ripken, especially in the "crybaby athletes" age. The hit streak would be a close second. -
That's "legal", though... Quit changing the subject!

Yea, as in I can feel the breeze clear down here... how Kool is that?
-
I was just there yesterday! And it's pretty darn small...
-
Neva, NEVA, happen.
-
whoa, whoa, NOT METALLISOX's banana, the banana of whatzerface who won wimbledon... thought I better clarify...
-
That's pretty phenominal. 84 in a row. Gagne.

So you're saying that the spinmasters at 35th street are working, Steff?

Ok, let me "re-summarize". I agree that this is a topic that, originally stated, kicked cw right in the groin. That's why he picked it for a topic. Point noted and taken. And being that I do know a little about tax code and it's consequences, what Bush/Cheney is doing is extremely radical and dangerous. I'll even go as far as saying that it's downright TWISTED because it's using religion as a means to bolster their campaign against the law, and it makes me want to puke. But, then, I went on this little tangent to say that they all find ways to exploit to get the vote. That's all I meant by, as cw said, "mommy, they all do it". I'm sure I can find examples of the Democrats resorting to some of the same tactics. But I don't have time. I only stated what I did, because, I like to see both sides to an arguement, not just one side. Several times on this board and within this thread, hell, even this post, I say that what the Republican party is resorting to - to get votes, is sickening. But, the Democrats will exploit as well, and that's been my point all along this topsy turvy, poop flinging road. But the original topic, cw is right, and I agree, perhaps that has gotten lost, this is a dangerous, dangerous precedent. But, they are all going down that road to hell.

I like John Edwards. If the ticket were reversed, I would vote for him. How screwy is that? And, Cheney - Edwards debates ought to be interesting!
-
LMAO. That's the funniest thing I have seen here in a long time. Bush/Cheney are held to a higher standard EVERY DAY. It's called the MEDIA. They can't take a s*** without someone digging in it to see if it smells like a political agenda or not. Your posts are living proof of that. Have a nice day!!

Keep on a goin' on... This is some good stuff...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH! NOT TERRY BEVINGTON?????????!!!!! My toilet flushed TP manages better then that. Oh sorry. This should probably get posted in the real thread, but I'm too lazy to find it right now.

Can you EVER point out anything that the Democratic party does wrong? EVER? That's more the point here. My point, OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER again, is that BOTH parties screw up and break laws - or at least get as gray as can be to justify their end means, and that is POWER. So why pick THIS ONE IRS code and beat the snot out of it and say that this is over the top? Frankly, there's probably more damaging stuff out there then this... I don't feel like searching for it but I can certainly find links to Kerry's campaign accepting illegal funds. I can certainly find all sorts of stuff that is shady and/or illegal from the Gore campaign. In this specific IRS code, yea, Bush/Cheney is doing some pretty crazy stuff. WRONG. It's BS. Let's throw the idoits in jail. Does that make you feel better?Thank you, cw, for being our hero and pointing it out. Read it again... YES, BUSH/CHENEY ARE WRONG. See? I can say that because I'm not on some political witchhunt. BUT WHAT ABOUT ALL THE OTHER STUFF THAT DOESN'T GET REPORTED THAT THE DEMS ARE DOING? Oh, I forgot. That doesn't agree with what political agendas are. Got it. Thanks, have a nice day. By the way, honestly, I don't care. The only part I care about is to simply point out that there are ALWAYS two sides to every story.
