Well I did say injuries would be a concern. Regardless, the man has multiple pitches and should be a really versatile, cost controlled guy in the pen. And Eovaldi had TJ x2.

For what purpose? The 40 man is replete with relievers. On the subject, I'd consider starting Jace, although I suppose injuries and workload could be a concern.

Everything on the Dodgers terms, when it should be on the White Sox terms. The Dodgers need to clear out Pederson more than the Sox need him. And the Sox don't need him at all if they don't sign Machado. The Sox have the leverage: use it.

I'm pretty sure Minaya, Cordell and Madeiros won't be on the next playoff team....2 of those guys came for 2 excellent relievers so they should work.

Maybe they do..but again, why do what is essentially a rent now? If the Dodgers will take some probable AAAA guys off the 40 man, then fine. But that won't happen...the Sox will deal upside. Or trade Colome for him...that would be okay.

Why trade assets for a 2 year player when they have zero chance to win in that window? Not that they have much of a chance right now with Machado...but at least one construct an "if everything goes right" argument. They've got OFs on the way.

That's fine if, in the end, the Sox are willing to match the top offer +20% or so. But if they aren't and/or if, say, they are using Alonso and Jay, instead of cash, as the premium, then I suspect that this will not end well.
