  1. Is it just me, or does the sound on Comcast suck?
  2. QUOTE(3E8 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 09:35 PM) I support this decision. As do I.
  3. Oh, and Cora-Hafner-Martinez due up next inning. L-L-S.
  4. Make your choice now. I'd go with Marte for the first two hitters, then to Shingo -- doesn't make a lot of sense, but let Marte handle the lefties. Make the call, don't second guess after the fact.
  5. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 09:27 PM) OK.. what's Garcia's pitch count..? Can he finish this up..? 109 -- it's iffy. I personally wouldn't, but I gotta imagine it would be pretty tough for Ozzie to say no to Freddy at this point...
  6. Awesome outing, Freddy. Let the bullpen take ya home.
  7. Here's what I'd do: Marte to start off vs. Hafner, then let Shingo finish it -- if it goes down like that.
  8. How many pitches is Freddy at? 102?
  9. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 09:15 PM) You have to use Shingo here. He was beat by 3 solo shots, the wind is blowing in... Also hes the closer, we can not afford to start tinkering this early in the year. SB Jerry Manuel voice: "Tinker Tinker."
  10. Addy, love the Anchorman reference. The wind is just eating up the ball tonight. I'd go with Marte next inning, play the matchups. Maybe Marte-Hermy-Shingo, or Marte-Viz-Shingo? THen again, I dunno -- it's huge, either way, Shingo gets the save, he gains a boatload of confidence, if he blows it, he's f***ed. LOL!!!! The "Hello Big Frank" sign cracked me up.
  11. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 09:08 PM) Why do we replace Dye with Timo with a one run lead and Dye's at bat coming up next? He replaced Timo with Pods... And, I see you ignored Castilla's three-year splits...
  12. QUOTE(longshot7 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 09:05 PM) Who's Lehman? You mean layman??? Is it Layman? Meh -- tomato, tah-mah-toe. EDIT: And I probably spelled the above cliche wrong too.
  13. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 09:01 PM) Castilla had 35 HRs last year, 21 of which were away from Coors And your point is.....???? Three-Year AVG on the road for Castilla: .248 AVG, .290 AVG, .738 OPS. Lehman's terms? An expensive Joe Crede without the defense. Dumbass. :banghead :banghead
  14. Castilla sucks away from Coors... LOL, Addy, "Joe for 2" right on the money again. I'm gonna laugh and think of you everytime he starts off the AB 0 and 2.
  15. QUOTE(3E8 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 08:56 PM) 2 pitches 2 outs??? wtf Which is really unfortunate. We had a chance to get to their bullpen right after this inning. Base hit by Widge. He looks solid so far, ST and in his few AB's today. And by solid, I mean better than Ben Davis.
  16. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 08:49 PM) I would like everyone to take notice of what exactly happened last inning. Podsednik set the table with that "hit" of his. He steals second. Everett brings him in. Welcome to Ozzieball version 2.0 (The way it should be run)! Ideally, you would see Iguchi bunt Podsednik over to third in that situation, and bring him in on a sac fly via Konerko or Everett. If we play Ozzieball in that fashion this season, we are set in no matter what ballpark we find ourselves in. I agree. I like the bunt when it moves a runner from second to third, with nobody out. I don't like the bunt with a runner on first, nobody out. I think Podsednik can move himself over, without sacrificing an out. Beatiful curveball by Freddy.
  17. Carl, if only you could play third...
  18. Maybe Scotty can steal third, too... I wouldn't suggest it with Carl up, but if he can get the jump....
  19. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 08:39 PM) Look at this guy. What a lead, WHAT A JUMP. Not only does this guy have amazing speed, he has FLAWLESS form. That takes some damn good tape study to get that good of a jump, time after time.
