  1. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 09:38 PM) After this game, there's no question in my mind Crawford is the MVP of this team. At worst, it's a tie between he and Kane. Once he cooled off, the offense is nowhere to be found now. One line has essentially carried us all year led by 88. He's in a slump right now and all of a sudden everyone else is too.
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 02:43 PM) Interesting. You are the first person I have heard say that. No kidding. I usually stretch first and then do a warmup like the butt kicks. Never heard of that.
  3. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 08:38 PM) Kings scored again. 3-0 Crawford can't be bad if Keith/Hammer are going to play like this. To be fair, Crawford hasn't played great either. In fact that second goal was on him.
  4. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 02:33 PM) Svedberg gets 2 year extension As long as he stays in Rockford. He makes Hjalmarsson look like a physical presence.
  5. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 08:20 AM) I hope teams like the Bears signing ILB helps Darron Lee fall in the draft a little bit. He is starting to become my favorite player in this draft. Reggie Ragland as well. I feel the exact opposite about Ragland.
  6. Looks like Kruger was given a modified no trade clause according to Capfriendly. It kicks in after next season, and Kruger can pick 7 teams he doesn't want to be traded to. https://www.capfriendly.com/players/marcus-kruger
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 04:01 PM) No way can you take him that high with his injury. I'd be surprised if he last in the mid rounds, but if that's the case, I'd still take a chance on him. Still a great talent.
  8. Freeman is really solid and is a very good stop gap. Might have the Bears pick a guy like Jaylon Smith in the 2nd round if he's still there.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 02:21 PM) Lawrie not exactly showing good range I still feel this team would be much better with Sanchez glove at 2B. Ideally, rotate Lawrie and Frazier at 3B/DH.
  10. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Mar 11, 2016 -> 08:44 PM) You almost have to put their top 3 with the other 3 on pairings. Hjalmarsson with Keith is as good as it gets but TVR and Gustafsson have been pathetic & we all know Ehrhoff is only a 6. I still don't know why Q doesn't just put Keith and Seabrook together and Hjalmarsson with either Gustafsson or TVR (or Ehrhoff). Seabrook plays his absolute best with Keith and it spreads out the defense alittle. Hawks are too thin past 2 and 4 (who both have been awful tonight themselves).
  11. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Mar 10, 2016 -> 06:32 PM) Bears are bringing in DE Akiem Hicks and TE Jermaine Gresham in on visits tomorrow. Hopefully we can lock both of them up tomorrow and make Bennett expendable. Bears also interested in WR Jermaine Kearse. Bears also signed CB Sherrick McManis to a 2 year deal. Good because he's a solid ST guy. So, lock up Gresham and Hicks tomorrow. Resign Miller and Jenkins. Possibly get Kearse here and then focus on CB/S help. Resigned in Seattle.
  12. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Mar 8, 2016 -> 04:21 PM) Aside from that, he's a 4th line player who only kills penalties. I think this definitely means goodbye to Shaw and maybe even Kane, Seabrook, Hjalmarsson or Hossa Dear lord..
  13. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Mar 7, 2016 -> 07:17 PM) 90, 5 games behind Detroit for the WC. Would have been the 2nd WC had such a thing existed then. Such a damn shame too. Not saying the sox would've won back to back, but they would've been a very tough out with their experience.
  14. Fleener is probably gone. He is their version of Shea McClellan it seems.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 7, 2016 -> 12:20 PM) Jordan Bastian ‏@MLBastian 5s6 seconds ago Indians offered similar salary range as WSox for Jackson, but he preferred Chicago. CLE would've needed to go much higher to convince him. Hey, playing for the Cubs did some good for us. I like Eaton doing whatever it takes to win too.
  16. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 7, 2016 -> 03:37 PM) I think you misread my post. I was complimenting you. Ah ok. I was just about to post this. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...114&st=1620 I edited my other post, but thanks again for the compliment Steve.
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 7, 2016 -> 03:27 PM) Here is an example of a bandwagoner who was a great "get" for the city of Chicago. SoxAce knew nothing about hockey, admitted it, and then learned so much that his knowledge of the NHL easily eclipses mine as we type here today. He's a baller. Never claimed I was a master of any sort. Tell me something. Go back to 2010 when the Hawks won the first cup on the NHL thread. Who was the poster who cited you, Tony, Krush, DBAH0, etc. who were the die hard fans? Yea it was me. Your other post was spot on before you put this crap up, but I did watch it a bit in the 90s when Amonte was around. Just didn't like it enough to follow it. Ah crap misread Steve post. My bad bro. Thanks for the compliment.
  18. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Mar 6, 2016 -> 01:16 PM) So was Holm. And Holm dominated Rhonda. It wasn't a close fight. Holm also did a lot better against Tate than Rousey did against Holm. Flat out, if Holm isn't getting a rematch(again, she was winning that fight big), then it should be Holm vs Rousey to see who the #1 contender was. Holm should blame her manager for costing her essentially 8 figures. If she would've waited, she would've fought Rousey again. But I do agree with you that should be the matchup. It was just a very poor managerial decision and case in point, her manager is new to the business.
  19. I still wish Avi played LF. There is no way he can possibly be any worse than Melky.
  20. What I like (and hope) is with Eaton and Jackson maning the OF, you can hide either Cabrera or Garcia since both are terrible.
  21. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Mar 6, 2016 -> 05:19 PM) Do wonder if this creates LaRoche / Avi platoon, or if Avi still gets plenty of starts in the OF and Melky to DH more often. I'm honestly kind of hoping Melky sees more DH time. He's actually been WORSE defensively in LF. Crazy how much of a pass he's gotten over Avi by fans.
