  1. I still can't believe Cam didn't dive for that fumble. Just backed out like he gave up or just didn't want to get hurt.
  2. So the MVP is going to a defensive player right? C.J. Anderson might be the only offensive player on either side who has a case.
  3. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Feb 3, 2016 -> 01:16 PM) That might be my favorite Blackhawks promotional video ever. The girl scout cookies one is up there, too. For me, nothing beats the Keith video last year. Hit close to heart. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Feb 3, 2016 -> 01:42 PM) I agree. I love how the kid instantly recognized Teuvo over Shaw. Usually it's the other way around. He was enamored with him. Teuvo has gotten pretty popular in Chicago.
  4. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Feb 2, 2016 -> 02:50 PM) Strong as an ox. Remember he started 08 off the bench and just took off. The thing I do remember was he has not really good with the glove That shoulder injury really affected him mentally defensively going forward. He was a pretty good defensive RF with the DBacks. (minors and cup of coffee) Then he tore his labrum and pretty much stopped diving or running into walls and turned into Avi on the field. Luckily it never affected his hitting. He was always a very good hitter.
  5. Justin Tuck retires. 11 seasons, 2x Super Bowl champion.
  6. Makes Avi coming back so quickly with the same injury even more impressive, even if he's not that good.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 1, 2016 -> 11:50 AM) If Phil is reporting it, we might as well close this thread. Don't mind at all. Not a fan of Ethier.
  8. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 31, 2016 -> 04:28 PM) The two best players in Detroit Lions history retired super early with no real playoff success. Unbelievable really. Megatron was fun to watch.
  9. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 08:49 AM) Sox will go no more than 3..
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 10:03 AM) As dead as this team looked after the winning streak ended, I am OK with that. Toews has played alot of hockey as well and hasn't had the best year. This is probably a blessing in disguise.
  11. That crosscheck by Wideman was absolutely disgusting. He deserves to have the book thrown at him. EDIT: Saw before that play he got hit in the head.. might of gotten woozy and crosschecked the linesman last minute. Still hard to give him the benefit of the doubt at all though.
  12. QUOTE (shipps @ Jan 27, 2016 -> 01:23 PM) UhHH I dont think she is Filipino. She's not? Well damn I stand corrected. Saw the pics and everything and thought so. My bad Jason.
  13. QUOTE (bjm676 @ Jan 27, 2016 -> 10:43 AM) I find it interesting, because I'm married to a Filipina, so it's nice to see the Philippines represented. So is the owner of this site. It's... what the cool kids do now.
  14. Toews not on the bench. He's had the flu for several days now according to Edzo. Add him to the long list there. (Difference is he's playing through it)
  15. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Jan 26, 2016 -> 05:02 PM) Hossa almost 100% will finish his career on LTIR. No arguments there.
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 26, 2016 -> 03:49 PM) The 13 year old boy inside of me hopes LJ Hoes is claimed by the White Sox just so I can giggle at headlines like "Sox claim Hoes" "Sox invite Hoes to spring training" "Sox need Hoes to step up game" QFT.
  17. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Jan 26, 2016 -> 02:53 PM) In 2023, I'm guessing at least two of Hossa, Keith, and Seabrook will be on LTIR. The recapture on those guys is awful. Keith? Dude is a fitness freak of nature and has arguably the best contract in the NHL. I can see him playing at an elite level well into his contract. Not saying he'll be winning a Norris when he's 40 like Lidström, but he'll still be very good.
  18. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 26, 2016 -> 01:04 PM) Intentional walks and HBP help Abreu tremendously. Yep. Actually looking closer at Hernandez there, he's intriguing me more from a hitting standpoint. Abreu's age 22-25 seasons, he had 105 IBB and 90 HBP. (Good god at those numbers btw) His highest walk total in Cuba those years was 75. Hernandez's age 23-26 seasons, he had 34 IBB and 19 HBP. His highest walk total in those years was 80. Guy is just a much more patient hitter in Cuba, just wasn't as dangerous. (which we wouldn't need him to be here) No idea about his defense obviously and he wasn't much of a base stealer in Cuba and not sure about his speed either. But I hope the sox are doing their homework on this guy. (And even Jose Miguel Fernandez for that matter with his miniscule K rate)
  19. QUOTE (Hatchetman @ Jan 26, 2016 -> 11:49 AM) I suggested earlier Jordan Guerrero. Young lefty who had a breakout year in A ball. Yep, Although I say it with some bias as I've been a Guerrero fan before it became cool. He also seems like a De Los Santos sell high type as well. Danish is solid as well. Engel too.
  20. So apparently Blake Griffin got in a fight with an equipment staffer and broke his right hand as a result. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/14651663...equipment-staff
