QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 1, 2015 -> 11:08 PM) Guy they picked over Sale He's been a bust for them, but now he'll be remembered forever in KC if they win it.

**2015 World Series - Mets vs Royals**
QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Nov 1, 2015 -> 11:01 PM) It's not Sabremetrics, as many examples you can give of the more experienced team winning I can give you just as many examples of the inexperienced team winning. In '05 every team we faced in the playoffs was far more experienced than us, but we still kicked ass. Particularly why I deleted the post. I agree with you, but I'm not going to doubt professional athletes who play the game either on their mentality.

**2015 World Series - Mets vs Royals**
QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Nov 1, 2015 -> 10:44 PM) There's no correlation between experience and playoff success. Tell that to the players and manager who have repeatedly said it before and during this series. They know what it takes now. Not just "being happy to be there."

**2015 World Series - Mets vs Royals**
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 31, 2015 -> 10:59 PM) The Royals were down 3-2 before Hosmer's ball to Murphy. He makes the play and it's runners on second and third, two outs for Moustakas and the Mets clinging to the lead. They probably would have loaded the bases to face Perez, for the Rhb/Rhp matchup. Bingo. Cubs fans on twitter already comparing it to Buckner. Think that's a bit ridiculous, but it wouldn't surprise me if that was the death blow to the Mets chances.

You know Cubs fans are loving Murphy f***ing up that play. Essentially cost the Mets the game.

Mets. No question.

Carlos Sanchez's 2016 Role
Was team Sanchez before the season started last year so you should know where my stance is with him. Although admittedly, I'm biased as I saw him a bit in Birmingham and in the futures game a couple of years ago.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 20, 2015 -> 11:59 AM) Better to happen now than later. Lets the new guys develop a bit. Yep. Wonder if Pokka gets a shot sooner rather than later. Everyone has to step up and Crawford has to play like a top 5 goalie.

Illinois born Hinostroza called up to the Hawks. Baun sent down. Gotta be extremely happy for that kid. Great skill and pretty fast. Watched him a couple of years ago at the WJC.

Cubs-Cards NLDS
QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Oct 12, 2015 -> 07:45 PM) Rizzo, Bryant, Schwarber, Castro, Soler all contributed. One day someone will say the same of Abreu, Olt, Flowers, Saladino, Thompson............ Speaks of one organization knowing how to develop hitters and one who doesn't. I remember people questioning the Cubs with the Schwarber pick.. they look like they got a steal now.

I must say some of these Cubs players are making me a fan with their walk up music.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 12, 2015 -> 01:49 PM) At least they will finally have to give Langford more playing time. Seems like that's been good news for the Bears is the you g players are getting reps. Sutton is the only guy I can think of who has/had a serious enough injury as a young player.

Mark Buehrle to retire?
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 7, 2015 -> 07:53 AM) Supposedly, Buehrle had 4 cortisone shots into his shoulder this season. Chances are, he's hanging them up. Hmmm.. He's probably going to see if he needs surgery this offseason or not. If he does.. might make sense for him just to retire hence the whole "Decision in the offseason" plan.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 5, 2015 -> 09:15 AM) I assume this is sarcasm, but people do realize the Sox DID get the 10th pick, right? You realize when he made that post? That was way before Seth Smith saved our asses.
