Ripken talked to Nats about managing
QUOTE (shipps @ Aug 21, 2015 -> 03:43 PM) Has he been in baseball at all since he retired. Where the hell did his interest in managing come from all of sudden. Where did Robins come from?

Our backup catcher bunts better than most of the team.

I'm still in utter disbelief why Trayce Thompson isn't starting everyday at this point.

Twins at White Sox, 9/12/15
QUOTE (ron883 @ Sep 12, 2015 -> 06:39 PM) Trayce's approach really impresses me... He has a better eye than his minor league stats suggest. I really hope he's one of those players who hits better in the bigs than the minors.

If Dozier goes to first, he gets Cabrera.

Krugs is back! Which was inevitable after the Versteeg trade.

2015-16 NHL thread
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 11, 2015 -> 01:44 PM) And there it is, I bet Kruger is signed by the weekend. So who's gonna be our new whipping boy that Q won't take out of the lineup now that Versteegiak is gone? Bickell is still here sadly...

Alexei
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 8, 2015 -> 01:12 PM) Fool's gold. Hero worshipping...Frankly, I would not exercise the option but try to sign him to a lower figure. If someone wants to pay him $10 million or $9 million, thanks Alexei, despite some of your boneheadedness, you have been a really good player but it's time to move along. Agreed 100% although you and I have agreed about Alexei for quite some time now. (the offseason on..)

9/7 Games
Great start by Adams to probably finish his season off.

9/7 vs Cleveland Indians
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 7, 2015 -> 03:39 PM) Haha, Olt vs 97 You must of forgot that grand slam he hit against Cleto last year. Nothing wrong with his bat speed.

9/7 vs Cleveland Indians
Trayce... wow. That was impressive.

9/7 vs Cleveland Indians
The lack of patience from this team is infuriating. When Mike Olt is showing more patience at the plate than you, then you seriously need to reevaluate your approach with a pitcher who can't throw strikes. Just awful.

9/7 vs Cleveland Indians
Sanchez robbed of a hit.

9/7 vs Cleveland Indians
This reminds me of Cotts back in his ML debut.. or that KC pitcher who walked the world against us.

Duke must really like throwing to Brantley.- 9.3 Games
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 4, 2015 -> 02:21 PM) Stats wise, Fulmer's fastball comes in harder than Sonny Gray's when he was drafted per scouting reports and Fulmer's numbers at Vandy are better than Sonny Gray's were. Both have generally similar knocks of being undersized and their motions are even somewhat similar. Fulmer's ceiling I see as comparable to Sonny Gray, who is in the top 5 in the Cy Young race in the AL this year. Whether he will make that ceiling I don't know, but you asked that standard. FYI, Fulmer was most compared to Lincecum (who I like as a comparison alot) and Rodon with Price. Mike can figure out which pitcher he thinks is better if he wants, but I'll take a poor man's version of both.- 2015-2016 NFL Thread
DAVID. FALES. Also Carey was very good too. People forget he's actually younger than Langford who they just drafted this year. Should be interesting to see the cuts. - 9/6 at KC Royals
