  1. QUOTE (scs787 @ Jun 8, 2014 -> 04:06 PM) I'd say that's debatable, Micah Johnson looks like he could be a stud if he finds a home defensively. Anderson might be ahead of him but I wouldn't say the margin is that big. Depends if you view a top prospect list as far as production/floor or potential/ceiling. Guys like Rodon, Anderson and Hawkins/Adams (even without him throwing a single pitch yet) for me are without a doubt our top 3-4. But I've always viewed potential higher for years on this board, sans the occasional few (or "favorites" of mine if you will). I don't blame others though at looking at the production/floor players (likely big leaguers) though. You don't find many Evan Longoria/Buster Posey types that are pretty much both from the start.
  2. I'm assuming we are gonna put the signed players in bold again to make it easier to see for everyone like last year? (same with the $$ amount)
  3. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 03:23 PM) We can still win this series. Let's do it. With Sale pitching, we win win 1 game in most of the series. Just up to the other pitcher(s) to pick up the slack.
  4. QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 05:43 PM) Slot for 1-1 is $7,922,100, so yes, way under. It is just an outstanding deal for the Astros.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 6, 2014 -> 02:32 PM) Based on Garcia's form at "diving for balls", I think there's clearly some room for improvement with coaching. I doubt we will see Avi dive for balls like that anytime soon, if ever. Especially if it's in the back of his mind. I still remember Quentin never doing it after his surgery. Just an extreme mental thing to have to overcome.
  6. How in God's name did we get Adams at 44? Even I am shocked by 4hat.
  7. I'm at work right now. This is awesome news to see on phone.
  8. QUOTE (Marty34 @ May 31, 2014 -> 04:56 PM) Saw my guy last night at the game and he hears Sanchez up sooner than you think at SS. That was the most interesting to me, if true.
  9. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 4, 2014 -> 08:54 AM) I've changed my tune on Kolek. Take the upside and hope. If he needs TJS in a year, well, join the club. Take the kid, and draft a college pitcher at 44. Been a fan of his for a while. He's #1 on my board. Sox have the luxury of making a top 3 pick for the first time in decades. I would hope they take a guy who has the best upside they feel in the draft left after the first two picks.
  10. QUOTE (Nokona @ Jun 3, 2014 -> 06:36 PM) Am I the only one that doesn't like Rodon's delivery? Ptatc is not a fan of it at all FYI.
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 3, 2014 -> 09:55 AM) Here ya go: http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/forumdisplay.php?f=38 An Edmonton board with a bunch of seventeen year old spoiled Canadians who don't even know what a winning team looks like and I'd wager most have never seen Gretzky play (or if they did, it was probably as a NYR) or weren't around for their glory days in the 80s, sans a few? Hmm.. Yea that still might be better than this thread since they still do know hockey.
  12. Taj has had a rough couple of years with murders in his family.
  13. His numbers are falling faster than **insert J4L witty pun here.** Still think the sox future catcher is still not with the org yet. (trade/draft/whatever)
  14. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jun 1, 2014 -> 11:23 PM) What if they win it next year? Kings are probably going to win their second cup in three years. They are more of the "dynasty" praise at this point.
  15. I still can't believe Quenneville threw Versteeg, Handzus and Kane on the ice with Leddy and Roszival. That was just comical.
  16. Overtime. Rangers are the biggest winners in this.
  17. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 1, 2014 -> 07:59 PM) I get that it bounced higher than it should have but the whole "and it curved!?!?" Thing to be the type of justification people make up when you have the reputation Quick has. If Crawford gave up that goal, there would be a ton of people crucifying him. **cough.. Steve.. cough**
  18. Kane has got to be one of the most clutch players in the game now. He literally shows up in every elimination game (Hawks up or down) it seems.
  19. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 28, 2014 -> 11:54 PM) Just got home from the UC, it was rocking tonight. That first overtime was unbelievable, so intense. Looks like Handzus gets a break from negativity for a few days, huge goal. Saad was obviously awesome, thought Ben Smith was great too. One down, two to go. If they want to win in LA, they might want to cut down on the turnovers though. Healthy scratch Versteeg. That eliminates about half of them right there.
  20. Sanchez has never had more than 1 homer in a season in the minors.
  21. So we do the same thing against the Blues just like the Kings did last year and they got bounced in 5 against us. We'll see how this ends up. #hockeygods
  22. Gotta love Sutter having faith in his YOUNG PLAYERS in series, especially at the end of games. Q could learn something from him there. Was not afraid to play Toffoli on the PK or have Pearson protecting a lead late.
  23. Scratch that, looks like Chris Kuc was right all along. Q was showing some "gamesmanship"
