That Deng to Orlando trade would look better and better on this end even with the 300K more we'd be taking in. Pietrus is the taller defensive minded fit we would like who can play the 2 and 3 either start (if you have LeBron and Bosh, definitely) or come off the bench and can make the 3 (though he gets alittle too 3 happy at times which I don't like and should be driving the ball more with his athleticism) and Gortat could play Center and slide Noah to 4 if it came to that or play center off the bench and still sliding Noah to 4 when Bosh needs a rest still creating match-up problems and clogging the rebounding lanes. Would be an excellent deal for both sides if Deng stays healthy for the Magic and slides the aging Lewis to the 4 opening up 3s and playing the "Murphy/Garrity" type role for them.

Sox vs Cubs 6-26 game thread 6:10 first pitch
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 10:23 PM) This could be a tough one. Freddy has got to hold up his end of the bargain. I'm more worried about Lilly in all honestly... and by worried I mean "slightly" though this team could probably rock a bullpen down if it came to that.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
Unreal. THE FUSE IS... well you know. Carl can suck my balls... suck em dry. Sox are only 1.5 back with the NL being our best medicine. (and worst for the other two teams leading us) I love it.

6/25 Games
Morel last 10 games: .343/.410/.371/.782 Gilmore goes deep, though I must say it's been quite some time since I've seen that team get their ass kicked like they did tonight.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 10:44 PM) This is getting out of hand. Championships > Free Agent Signings no matter the sport. Signing Lebron guarantees us nothing except a playoff birth. I'm sure anyone here who doesn't give a s*** about hockey disagrees with that, but I still think we will be instant contenders and probable champions with LeBron. Not a doubt in my mind at all. But that of course is up to the Bulls front office who I'll admit still do not have full confidence in though they are slowly trying to win me back.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 10:40 PM) I won't be happy or sad until Free Agency is resolved. If LeBron signs, that is top 3 for me behind only the Bulls and Sox championships. (1 behind the Hawks title since I'm a bigger NBA fan and wasn't alive for the Bears one) QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 09:49 PM) What the f*** is this s***? http://www.clickorlando.com/magic/24029691/detail.html This is some serious bad news for the eastern conference. A healthy Chris Paul and Howard? I could see Collison... but Paul?! Hornets would be one of the stupidest franchises to do this (way worse than the Gasol rape LA gave to Memphis) For the record, Chris Paul is the only PG I would trade Rose straight up for. People forget how incredible he was prior to the injury. (and D-Will is the best right now... till Paul reclaims that title back this comming season which won't be hard for him)

The Hinrich trade off-setted the Byfuglien loss from my end tremendously (though the same friend who loved Byfuglien yesterday liked Hinrich alot too so he's having a bad week) One of the top 10 most happiest days of my life as far as sports in Chicago. Peace Kirk!

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 11:59 AM) The Clippers are under the cap by more than the amount of Deng's contract, so they can absorb his entire contract without having to send salary back, unless they are able to sign a player to a large deal first. This. They are a darkhorse for LeBron, but management (nor the fans) think they will get him especially with the owner situation.

QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 12:39 PM) Another guy the Hawks have to simply keep is HJalmarsson...no way you let him go. I think Tony said it best. He should be the first priority this off-season. Scotty Bowman loves the kid, so I think Stan and the Hawks are gonna do everything to keep him here.

Sox vs Atlanta June 24th 1:05 first pitch
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 11:28 AM) Obviously Gordon has been garbage but just seeing Lillibridge's name in our lineup makes me cringe. I'm not gonna judge a guy whose only had like 95 ABs last year when he was seriously overmatched. Even a sample size 2-3 ABs this season and hitting better in AAA this year around makes me feel better about him as he looks miles better at the plate. Now it'll be interesting to see how he does when he hasn't played at all however.

Beckham needs to be sent down
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 11:12 AM) Now how do you miss the sarcasm.... My god I'm an idiot. My apologies Sqwert. I've been up since 7 am, so I guess I'm still tired.

Beckham needs to be sent down
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 10:15 AM) He's probably tired. 3 days off in less than a week is necessary. He's played 161, 155 and 149 games before only playing 108 games last year. He isn't 35 years old Sqwert. Hell I found it odd Pierre missed a game this year (will probably miss another before it's up) and he is a friggin horse who plays every game. I will say however he is 0-10 against Lowe lifetime, so perhaps that is why he isn't in the line-up.

QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 10:36 AM) I'm curious to how Simon Danis-Pepin will play into this season. His size is intriguing (6'7"), but I don't know if he's ready. They have another defense-man that was young and who is more farther along who the Hawks like as well. (I think his name is Connolly?)

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 04:27 PM) Byfuglien & Aliu gone in the same trade? I never realized that the Bowmans were just huge racists. I LOL'd, but to me it looks like the Thrashers are trying to appeal to their local fan base. Looking at their roster, I don't think many will ever see a high % of African players/prospects on one team like this. Evander Kane Dustin Byfuglien Anthony Stewart Johnny Odyua Akim Aliu Also I find it funny (and also expected) that it was Atlanta whose GM has Chicago ties here. (Dudley) Wouldn't be surprised if Tallon jumped in a trade with us next. Also to be fair, the players the Hawks picked up (not sure about Crabb) are all "American" LH.
