  2. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 06:21 PM) No thank you. Paying $14 mil a year (or more) for a guy that would probably average 14-9 outside of D'Antoni's offensive system doesn't sound appealing at all. 14 mil wouldn't work anyways if you add a LeBron. I was saying more or less around 10 mil or so. That dude works his ass off every year in any area he is weak at. Depends also on Hinrich and what we do with him. (which you have to assume Deng would be gone in a certain scenario) Wouldn't be bad at all in my eyes, but like I said... if worst comes to worst.
  3. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 02:59 PM) :headbang Great, now I have to clean my computer.
  4. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 12:54 PM) Honestly, I expect LeBron, DWade, Nowitzki, Joe Johnson, Ray Allen, and David Lee to stay with their same teams. He criticized the Hawks fans and front office and was heavily booed in the playoffs. I'll be beyond shocked if Johnson stayed in Atlanta. (same with Boozer in Utah) If Lee stays with NY, they will only have room to sign one max FA also. I think they would rather have Bosh and persuade LeBron/Wade to come with him. I've said it before too, I would LOVE Lee if worst comes to worst (with a LeBron/Wade of course). Put he and Rose in Thibo's defensive camp and he could be a stud with his work ethic. (he's made a Noah-like progression in improvement in a TON of areas in his game) It will be interesting though to see him as a third-type option on a contending team since he was pretty much the guy in NY.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 03:07 PM) I'll be very happy if Flowers can match the numbers of Mike Napoli. That was his comparison comming in. I'd be trilled with that. Also wite has been on the money in this thread.
  6. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 01:40 AM) And if you want to get more depressed, think of the 2011 lockout. I try not to personally. A year without football... I'll die alot inside.
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 12:37 AM) Twice? I must be smoking too much weed then. Haha, well that isn't the first time you've said that either bro. My two post about him here and here and my usual announcement of my Dexter Fowler/Rockies second favorite team mancrush here on the Cubs thread I post on from time to time.
  8. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 01:26 AM) Man, what is with you and Garrett Jones? Your obsession is very similar to that of Glenn Close's with Michael Douglas. I've only mentioned him twice in that Cubs thread. He rapes the Cubs when he sees them yes (though I rarely catch Cubs games and rarely talk about them at all), but I like his game. Now Dexter Fowler, Cole Hamels, or Miguel Cabrera on the other hand.... well.... call me their stalker.
  9. Well I was one of the first on the Berkman bandwagon since the off-season (still like him a bit.. I mean who would want to be up to play for a terrible Stros team?) but since I'll "jump the gun" here or "play along" in this thread with the sox playing well, one name I like (maybe it's because I think he is underrated) and who can fit more financially for the sox (with the same versatility Ozzie likes) is Garrett Jones.

QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Jun 19, 2010 -> 05:04 PM) I like the name Carl. so powerful and majestic QUOTE (T R U @ Jun 20, 2010 -> 05:06 AM) :lolhitting Most females named Jessica are pretty damn attractive.. at least from my experience.
  11. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 20, 2010 -> 11:17 PM) I was reading all the AAP stuff and I read ptac's statement, who I full trust in mattrs of pitching movement who said that there would be significant wear with that motion. He also said Strasburgs was much, much worse. Like Jeff said, you really could say that to most prospects even with the "perfect mechanics" right Mark Prior?
  12. I can't believe the sox signed him that cheaply (and that fast). That is a steal even with a "promise" to the bigs. I remember another prospect that slipped in the draft still got his dough and got his "promise" as well if I'm not mistaken.
  13. Right now Chris Harris is starting at FS for us again. Even though everyone knows he had his best years (and fits the best) as a SS in Carolina. That alone would piss me off much more. This is why I'm glad the season doesn't start till months from now.
  14. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 20, 2010 -> 01:00 AM) Not including last night's game, he's sporting a line of .319/.402/.572/.974 since May 1. He is my pick for comeback player of the year. What a year so far.

Gilmore's hitting streak ends (I believe it was 16 or 17?) Short with a nice night.
  16. As I said many times if they go only 1 or 2 loses on this trip, I will be "keeping an eye on" again. They gotta do this to AL teams however, but this streak still is promising. If they can beat the Braves at least 2/3, I will probably look out for this team again.
  17. Unbelieveable. God FTW!
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 19, 2010 -> 06:41 PM) Stay hot Danks! Morel also has a hit. He is settling in nicely the past couple of games.

Keep rollin Santos Rodriguez! That kid Dwyer from Kansas City's org. had a really interesting line.
  21. Stephen Strasburg... . . . . . . . . Quentin.
  22. Haha "some rookie" I like that Mike. Strasburg will be good IMO, but if the Nats bullpen remembers they suck, then we should have a great day with their bullpen.
  23. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 02:34 PM) His reaction time, etc is all slow at 3B. He has a very very strong arm. Quite frankly Viciedo profiles much more as a left fielder than a 3rd baseman. He does have relatively soft hands though. I was banking he would move to RF for quite sometime cause of his arm, but the sox never did that.
