The Hinrich trade off-setted the Byfuglien loss from my end tremendously (though the same friend who loved Byfuglien yesterday liked Hinrich alot too so he's having a bad week) One of the top 10 most happiest days of my life as far as sports in Chicago. Peace Kirk!

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 11:59 AM) The Clippers are under the cap by more than the amount of Deng's contract, so they can absorb his entire contract without having to send salary back, unless they are able to sign a player to a large deal first. This. They are a darkhorse for LeBron, but management (nor the fans) think they will get him especially with the owner situation.

QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 12:39 PM) Another guy the Hawks have to simply keep is HJalmarsson...no way you let him go. I think Tony said it best. He should be the first priority this off-season. Scotty Bowman loves the kid, so I think Stan and the Hawks are gonna do everything to keep him here.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 11:28 AM) Obviously Gordon has been garbage but just seeing Lillibridge's name in our lineup makes me cringe. I'm not gonna judge a guy whose only had like 95 ABs last year when he was seriously overmatched. Even a sample size 2-3 ABs this season and hitting better in AAA this year around makes me feel better about him as he looks miles better at the plate. Now it'll be interesting to see how he does when he hasn't played at all however.

Beckham needs to be sent down
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 11:12 AM) Now how do you miss the sarcasm.... My god I'm an idiot. My apologies Sqwert. I've been up since 7 am, so I guess I'm still tired.

Beckham needs to be sent down
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 10:15 AM) He's probably tired. 3 days off in less than a week is necessary. He's played 161, 155 and 149 games before only playing 108 games last year. He isn't 35 years old Sqwert. Hell I found it odd Pierre missed a game this year (will probably miss another before it's up) and he is a friggin horse who plays every game. I will say however he is 0-10 against Lowe lifetime, so perhaps that is why he isn't in the line-up.

QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 10:36 AM) I'm curious to how Simon Danis-Pepin will play into this season. His size is intriguing (6'7"), but I don't know if he's ready. They have another defense-man that was young and who is more farther along who the Hawks like as well. (I think his name is Connolly?)

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 04:27 PM) Byfuglien & Aliu gone in the same trade? I never realized that the Bowmans were just huge racists. I LOL'd, but to me it looks like the Thrashers are trying to appeal to their local fan base. Looking at their roster, I don't think many will ever see a high % of African players/prospects on one team like this. Evander Kane Dustin Byfuglien Anthony Stewart Johnny Odyua Akim Aliu Also I find it funny (and also expected) that it was Atlanta whose GM has Chicago ties here. (Dudley) Wouldn't be surprised if Tallon jumped in a trade with us next. Also to be fair, the players the Hawks picked up (not sure about Crabb) are all "American" LH.

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 11:22 PM) Not picking on you but what is this whole 'keep an eye on' I watch all games unless I can't due to circumstances that won't allow me. Are you a fan? Just my little way of saying, I'm interested again. I was still watching games when we lost, but more-so envisioning Hudson etc.. up and where guys could be traded to, and dreams about Rendon. This team isn't nearly as boring also. Rios was really the only one that I'm sure everyone loved to watch play when we were sucking.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 11:23 PM) Oh, you're on board now, eh? Big hat, no cattle. Naw, I just like sayin that even if we lose. I did say if we take 2/3 from the Braves I'll be "keeping an eye out" again especially since the Braves are a good NL team (thank you Hanson for only having one pitch yesterday too BTW!). Well... mission accomplished.

They will at least take 2/3 from the Braves pending on tomorrow. That is what I wanted to "keep an eye on" all along.

Man, Beckham isn't even taking a walk anymore. I wasn't harsh on him earlier like most because he was still getting on base with his walk rate, but now he is swinging at garbage when he has 3 balls __ strike.

Keep the banner, keep southsider starting game threads, keep the doubt of this team IMO. We are playing well with all of this.

See Beckham... if Quentin can find it.. you can. BTW, I think Cox left Huddy in one inning too long IMO.
