  1. Is it raining on the north side yet? It is terrible here in Crete.
  2. Happy B-Day to a fellow buddy poster of mine. P.S. Escobar sucks.
  3. QUOTE (Nokona @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 11:54 PM) Buff was just as sloshed as Kane was. LMAO! Oh man Buff was GONE. He was also drinking alot at the bus deck. Anyone catch his little speech? "Wut up shawty!"
  4. I guess I'm one of the few that sees it blown a tad out of proportion here, only because most of those kids were either too far away to actually see what the guys were doing on top of the trolley in the parade, or had no idea what he was drinking anyway, unless the parents foolishly told them what he really was drinking (I would think I would tell my kid he is drinking pop, juice, etc.. and wasn't "feeling too well" to speak). Not condoling what he did, but hell Kane is still a naive 21 year old who had his name in the papers alot the prior off-season and season, he has to mature himself to learn. I guess that also shows the class of Toews more. As Sharp said, most of the teammates have to check his birth certificate to make sure he is only 22. BTW, anyone who was at the parade (at least from where I was) there was much more drunk idiots acting fools around alot of people (including the kids) anyways.
  5. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 09:27 PM) When you get sober, post your request here: http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...p;#entry2111110 Stop being lazy and at least move the thread over there... jerk.

Ludacris is freaking going nuts right now. That is all.
  7. Greg Buck screws up call. Goal Parody ensues. This is hilarious!
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 06:38 PM) Like the Twins when they dumped Santana for prospects. Haven't won since. To be fair, the Twins were really taking the heat to deal him when most of baseball knew they had to. They should have gotten way more than they did. It was considered a huge steal for the Mets and the only prospect that looked good (besides Guerra) was Gomez (who was really overhyped, most were shocked guys like F. Martinez, Pelfrey/Humber, etc.. etc.. were not in the deal). I don't care about the decent guys you trade for good prospects if need be, but when there is a 25 year old young player who IMO is the future (if not already by some) ace of this team because he hasn't signed an extension, that is where I have a problem with.
  9. QUOTE (T R U @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 05:28 PM) the worst possible thing to happen is for us to beat up on these National League teams especially with another Cubs series and a Pirates and Nationals series, sigh, KW might be trying to ADD to this mess if we don't watch out.. This times 1000. Not to mention it will keep some posters hopes up here as well. (already seen a couple guys now think we may have turned a corner once again for the 1000th time this season)
  10. Insane parade. Pretty crowded of course and hot, but it was all worth it. Like how that random guy started throwing beers to everyone. Alot of the people I was around were very nice (two guys gave me 2 beers and I was slick to drink them before I was caught) All around great day.
  11. I'll change it up since everyone so far is Pro Rios for some reason.. Konerko.
  12. I would say the NHL personally and I'm not even that big of a follower in hockey till the last couple of years. When you got as many upsets every year (had a 8 seed beat a 1 seed and a 2 beat a 7, 6 beat a 3, etc.. just this year) it goes to show how anything can happen in the postseason in that sport. Most of the others (NBA, MLB, NFL, Golf [if you want to call that a sport] Tennis, etc..) you actually have a good shot of predicting who will win it all before they even start playing or at least know who the final 4 guys would be. NCAA is an interesting one though. Not sure I want to count college sports though with professionals (in that case college baseball is hard too) but it is up there as well for me.
  13. I'll just say this. I'll be beyond shocked if he isn't a reliever for us. Plus he had something that Poreda didn't... Tommy John surgery.
  14. I am about 70% sure I'm going to this rally tomorrow with my friends. Gonna meet some girls up there as well and an old high school friend I haven't seen in like 5 years. The other 30% is just pure laziness (not wanting to wake up) from our end.
  15. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Jun 10, 2010 -> 12:45 PM) I love when we get shut down by a 6+ ERA pitcher.. To br fair, Max is a very talented young pitcher. This isn't Jake Jakubakas shutting us down.
  16. I still can't believe Vizquel turned around a 94-95 mph fastball, even though he was in a fastball count.
  17. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Jun 10, 2010 -> 01:00 AM) I thought of Dale tonight too. I imagine that tonight is not easy for him. I have this feeling that he is sitting somewhere in South Florida wiping down his thick rim glasses and muttering obscenities about Scotty Bowman. Dale built this team, there is no two ways about it. However, the Hawks made the decision to put their faith in a man who has won a slew of cups and I can't blame them. This isn't an amateur operation anymore and Dale made a few questionable signings in the years preceeding his dismissal. I feel bad for Cam Barker as well.
  18. Jonathan Toews: 2nd youngest captain to hoist the Stanley Cup (Crosby) 2nd youngest player to win the Conn Smythe Trophy (Roy) The youngest member of the Triple Gold Club (passed Forsberg) Antti Niemi: 1st Finnish goaltender to win the Stanley Cup. Unbelievable.
  19. Jesus Christ Lillibridge..... Love the crowds reaction to it too.
  20. QUOTE (girlslikebaseballtoo#26 @ Jun 9, 2010 -> 09:38 PM) Looks like Mike Tyson with a wig ..where is that "woman's" neck?!?! :notworthy :notworthy
  21. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 10, 2010 -> 01:16 AM) I put some vids on fb with madison celebration. I cant believe it. Ive been rooting for this team since I could stand, I cant believe it. I'm pretty sure my eagle eye saw the goal before anyone in the country besides Kaner. Wow. f*** you Pronger. Me and this random guy were the only ones celebrating at Hooters (we both saw Kane's reaction only) and my friends (and everyone else there) were like "WTF" till they saw the bench clear, then everyone cheered.
  22. I hope more of the big boys in the org. give Dale Tallon his kudos. This is still his team. (I like Stan, but wasn't cool to see him get all the kudos by people when it was Dale who put this team together) There is a rumor going that all the players are gonna pinch in and buy Tallon a ring. That would be very classy of them all.
  23. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Jun 9, 2010 -> 11:46 PM) Sharp or Ante should have won the MVP I would say 60% of the people at the restaurant wanted Kane to get it before it was announced (the others Antii and Toews too), but they didn't mind Toews winning at all.
