  3. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 1, 2010 -> 02:58 PM) Yeah, I love our sites as much as the next guy, but that stuff is pretty one sided. My guess is that it was done by whoever is running the "FakeJoeCowley" twitter count. That's where I saw it... yea, I follow it. Whoever it is doesnt post often, but I enjoy it.
  4. QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 1, 2010 -> 02:37 PM) It will get edited. The Nov '09 reference is full of biased language. Well, yea. Obviously. That is the one thing I love about Wikipedia is that they go out of their way to keep things even.

  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 1, 2010 -> 02:18 PM) I thought it was brilliant at the time, and said so. This clearly makes me smarter than you on any topic forever. Probably true actually.
  7. Anyone seen Cowley's Wikipedia page recently? I pulled it up a minute ago and noticed something interesting.
  8. At the time, I thought the Longoria contract was INSANELY stupid. I was so wrong.
  9. GOP Filibuster Record: Republicans Using Obstruction Tool With Astonishing Frequency
  10. The closing ceremony was dreadfully bad. The mime part was pretty darn funny, I really got a good laugh out of that, Best line of the night, from my sister: "That man didn't have a job until 2 weeks ago". The famous actors mocking Canada part was really dry and lame. "Mr Bubbles" (as my sister called him) was pretty good, but I think he was lip syncing. His female mounty friends were super sexy though. Oh, and Catherine O'Hara is a MILF! Wow was she smokin' last night.
  11. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Feb 27, 2010 -> 06:54 PM) Although it was funny watching cable news networks trying to will the tsunami waves on shore. Anyone on this forum (who doesn't live on the island) that didn't have a part of them wanting to see a surge of water pummel Hawaii is lying. No one innocent would have died (you'd probably have a few surfers, beach stragglers to contend with). You were all sitting next to your tv at 3pm like me anticipating it. Nowwww here comes the comments suggesting how I'm wrong ^^^^^^^^^^^^ The cable news networks must be pissed. they wanted "the money shot" of a live tsunami destroying ocean front property. They got.... tiny waves.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 27, 2010 -> 03:12 PM) CNN just referred to receding waters on Coconut Island. That tree photo is from Coconut Island park. Waikiki beach waters are retreating 20-30 ft
  13. Freaking morons are SURFING right now.
  14. QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Feb 27, 2010 -> 01:01 PM) Actually, a tsunami is kind of like a ever-increasing wave that continues to get bigger.... bigger.... bigger.... BIGGER... BIIIIIIGGGGGER until it runs out of water when it hits a shore. That's how a tsunami travels across an ocean and why places as far off as Japan and Russia has tsunami warnings. For example, in the 2004 tsunami, it started after an ocean earthquake, I believe, near the sundra trench, and what began as a wave, a vibration in the water, kept rippling away from the epicenter and as it kept rippling away the ripples get bigger and bigger as it travels on water over a long distance until that initial ripple becomes a big gigantic monster wave of a tsunami that devastates everything in it's path. Which is what hit Thailand, etc. I hope Japan and Russia doesn't take much damage, they might get tsunamis worse than what will hit Hawaii, because the tsunami will build up even more over an even longer distance. ahhh ok. I had the opposite impression that they dissipated over distance. Thanks for some education!
  15. QUOTE (G&T @ Feb 27, 2010 -> 06:09 AM) Foxnews CNN is reporting that the tsunami will be about 10-12 feet high in Hawaii. Perhaps the smarter people around here could enlighten me, but from Chile to Hawaii seems like a REAL long distance for a tsunami to travel.
  16. Carlton Cuse, Writer and Executive Producer of LOST- To ALL on the LOST crew -- responding to the Tsunami warning -- safe refuge is available at the studio. Waves to reach Hawaii just after 11 AM.
  17. DeadSpin- Apparently, the Rangers and Twins have moved halfway across the state, the Mets and Yankees play on Long Island, and the Cubs and Phillies have relocated to Indiana and New Jersey, respectively. Are you smarter than a fifth grader? FOXSports-
  18. QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 26, 2010 -> 12:41 PM) 4D^2+6-(81^.5)=253 4D^2+6-(9)=253 4D^2+6=262 4D^2=256 4D=16 D=4 I adjusted my original equation to make the math less confusing. I think the 4D^2 syntax might have been a little confusing from what i meant it to mean.
  19. QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Feb 26, 2010 -> 11:28 AM) 8 does not equal D, you liar! 4(D^2)+6-(81^.5)=253 Solve for D
  20. Figures that the only US goal comes after horn. We needed 0.2 more freaking seconds.

  22. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 03:00 PM) I'm way more psyched about the new solar wire-grid tech that gets 95% efficiency. I have not heard of this. Can you give me details?
