  1. As I've made clear several times, I consider myself an independent because I tend to have far right "morals", but leftist economic and fiscal policies. So with that being said, I disagree with Obama on abortion, gay marriage (he calls them "civil unions"), and some others (I am drawing a blank mind right now).
  2. You know you have crossed the line when FOX NEWS tells you to remove their stuff from a Republican ad:
  3. Palin - VP May Not Be Part of the Executive Branch
  4. Never good when you have campaign leaks: McCain Camp Removed Bush Criticism From Wall Street Statement
  5. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 05:01 PM) Tor is not untraceable. Because of the session splitting its harder to get the entire conversation. But remember, in the end like any P2P service, those TOR nodes contact a centalized sevice to announce their availability to accept connections. Why worry about being untraceable. With the amount of un-secured access points in a driving radius, it would require 100 bucks from radio shack, spoofing my mac address, running a linux distro, and never hit the same open ap again. Who cares if they trace you then. They are kicking in someone elses door. ahh ok. I was mistaken about Tor then. Thanks for the insite. I guess it's MOSTLY untraceable, but still traceable to those who really want to find you. That open wi-fi part is very good though.
  6. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 03:48 PM) Now for any morons trying to get in with that account now, realize that the FBI most likely has deployed a tap under Calea and is collecting all of that wonderful traffic. Remember a DDoS is one thing, is a hose that sprays into the wind and doesnt require the 3 way TCP/IP handshake. Now any connection, either through a proxy or not, requires a TCP/IP handshake. So traceback on an active hack is not that hard. Correct me if I am wrong, but if they run it through a Tor network, it's untraceable.
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 03:46 PM) Hockey Mom Palin Get your mind out of the gutter! LOL ok ok. Hockey MomPalin works for me. HMP all the way!
  8. DOH! I knew it!! Palin is really the presidential choice: The Palin-McCain administration
  9. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 03:41 PM) We'll settle for HMP. Hot MILF Palin?
  10. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 03:35 PM) I was just going to adopt it. How about... PCBSNRTBVPP? I'm thinking: ABLWWHNETLATWBGBDHBSDATW A Nice Looking Woman Who Has No Expereince To Lead a Troubled World But Gets By Defending Herself By Saying Dont Attack The Woman Might be too long though.
  11. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 04:22 PM) And they just got in again. where did you see that?
  12. wow. this thread went down the tubes real fast... and I wasnt responsible for it! lol
  13. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 02:03 PM) He seemed like he didn't want to admit that he would meet with Zapatero. Maybe Spain is now part of the spanish axis of evil. sí
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 11:41 AM) The old man's getting confused. God Bless HCP or he'd be a dead campaign walking.
  15. I should note that Anon hasnt posted the entire account YET. They basically said "we hacked it and got it all. be afraid". As they parse through the e-mails, they may release more.
  16. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 10:55 AM) Why doesn't Alaska have secured government servers for their government business instead of yahoo or hotmail? Sheesh. They do. She has an official Alaska state e-mal address. But the worry of some people is that Palin was using her personal account to go around the legal requirement that all government e-mail be kept and on publci record. This is the best way I have heard it described: "Accounts suggest Anonymous was acting in response to reports that Palin took a page from Karl Rove and illegally used her personal e-mail account(s) to keep state business out of the public record."
  17. Obviously I am not a government official, but I try really hard to keep work and personal e-mail separate. I get annoyed when someone sends me personal e-mail at work. i try to redirect them to my personal account which is also programmed into my Outlook. So, i can see personal and business at the same time. Rarely do i get work e-mails to my personal account.
  18. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 10:32 AM) And yet, this thread has multiple Dems and independents (I'll include myself here) that find this dispicable. That would seem to indicate your paranoia may be unfounded. It's not cool in my book. I will admite I loved what Anon did to Scientology, but when it comes to hacking personal accounts, I dont agree with what they did. Maybe hypocritical. But I stand by it. But now that the cat is out of the bag, let's see what the cat has to say. PS: No doubt the Obama campaign i QUICKLY hacker proofing their passwords.
  19. I dont think this has been posted yet: McCain gets interviewed on Spanish (aka SPAIN) radio, and then rambles on about Latin America.. ummm.. not the same thing John.
  20. QUOTE (Texsox @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 11:09 PM) I know a lot of people that use private and personal emails at work. Unless this truly was to circumvent some law, and I doubt it, I think this is much to do about nothing. Actually, by law she is required to save and record every e-mail that is for government purposes. And based on what I have read, many of these were. The problem is that if he were to delete her yahoo account, those e-mails would be gone and likely not to be seen again. She could keep "dirty" politics on her yahoo account and we the public would be none the wiser since her "official" Gov account didnt have the juicy stuff.
  21. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 10:58 PM) I think it would be up to a judge to make a determination, but i don't believe hacked email of the type noted here is categorically inadmissible. If it was collected illegally by the police, yes, but if it was obtained by a private citizen off of the personal computer of another private citizen then I'm not sure. If I as a private citizen looked on a friend's laptop and realized the were trafficking child pornography, if I quietly took the entire laptop to the police, is anybody suggesting that the contents of the hard drive would be inadmissible in court because I swiped the laptop. Again, if the police did the same thing in the absence of a warrant, then the evidence would not be admitted. If it's a private citizen I don't know. One of you lawyer types around here, help me out. In the current case, if the suspect illegal emails were sent from a private account on a private computer, then I don't think a privileges/private information claim would hold up. I think you have a few good points there. This could be interesting to see how it plays out. If there i "dirt", it'll be in the press even if it cant be used in court.
  22. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 10:44 PM) Those emails obtained illegally would be inadmissible, but they could take that information to obtain the emails of the other users legally, no? From my amateur viewing of Law and Order, I think you are correct They'd have to be VERY VERY careful how they go about it. But those "hacked" e-mails would indeed be inadmissible i believe.
