I have been a Livan fan for years. I would love to see him in a SOx uni. BUt, this is the first year of a 3 year deal for him. If i am not mistaken, if a player is traded in the first year of a multi-yar deal, he can optout of the contract. COrrect me if I am wrong

I dont know how available Ben Sheets is. I heard it on the radio the other night just as a random name. Nowhere have I heard/read that he is available. If he is, the Brew Crew really are in tough financial times because he is wont be a free agent for a few years. THe article mentioned Randy Johnson in passing, his price tag is too steep for me unless Reiny is really willing to open the purse strings and shell out $16 mil a year for the next 2 years. THe D-back would need to swallow some fo the money

THe problem is that no one is willing to deal yet. TO get what he wants NOW, he is going to have to give up more than market value for the player. So, I dont see a new pitcher here for another month or so. Maybe mid-june at the earlist.

BUt he's ozzie's guy. DOnt tell ozzie Jose stinks. He might swear at you. Uribe and Harris maybe the best up the middle combo on this team, but as long as he is under contract, Williams and Ozzie will continue to trot him out there.

It never hurts to have too many of one thing. Too many OF guys is not a bad thing. Teams are alwasy looking and it is nice to deal from strength

honestly, you cant win them all. Sometimes you just have to say "today just wasnt our day". Unfortunetly, that "sometmes" comes every time a 5th starter takes the mound.
