  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 14, 2014 -> 03:42 PM) foooooooooor? @KCJHoop In Randolph deal, Bulls get draft rights to Milovan Rakovic (who I've never heard of either). Magic get better of Bulls' 2nds in 15 & 16.
  2. Got a job offer in Iowa. Waiting for my wife's work to clear her to work from home (she's currently based out of their offices near Chicago). If she's cleared, we're off to Iowa City!
  3. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jul 11, 2014 -> 12:48 AM) Quick poll: what's the best and worst show on 87.7? What's that station? Never heard of it. In all seriousness, if you wander away from their weekday daytime programming, it gets dangerously close to sounding like a bad college radio station.
  4. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 3, 2014 -> 04:13 PM) First and foremost, I'd save any physical proof with regards to the tweets and texts. In case things don't work out, for custody and money battles in a possible divorce. Sorry to be so blunt right off the bat. I took pictures of some of the tweets and a screenshot of my text conversation with the guy.
  5. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 3, 2014 -> 03:29 PM) If I found out my best man did that to me, it'd be very difficult for my fist to not be in his face. And she got pissed that I confronted him via text and told him their thing was over. She said she should have been the one to call it off.
  6. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 3, 2014 -> 11:38 AM) Damn dude. Sorry to hear that. How did you find out? She accidentally left her phone at home. From a previous "incident" I am allowed to look at it anytime I want. I looked at her texts, then checked her twitter and noticed a private account that only had one follower and some tweets were about work.
  7. Found out today that my wife has been cheating on me with one of my friends (the best man at our wedding 9 years ago). Sexual texts and tweets. They've kissed a few times. This revelation before we were set to leave on a weeklong family vacation. this should be fun.
  8. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jul 1, 2014 -> 11:25 AM) I have a hard time believing Riley wasn't aware of Wade colluding with LeBron and Bosh. I am 100% sure he knew EXACTLY what was going on. but there is no way to prove it unless there are emails or internal memos. If there are, they they are complete idiots. No paper trail = no evidence. And, it's happening all again.
  9. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 1, 2014 -> 11:00 AM) Why is Haslem so important to them? The guy is replaceable Because he opted out with a nudge and wink that he'd be resigned.
  10. eh. The NBA let the Heat tamper with Lebron and Bosh by way of Wade as a proxy. They wont do anything. Nothing you can tell me will change my opinion that the Heat knew full well what was going to happen that offseason. They just "happened" to have exactly enough cap space.
  11. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 1, 2014 -> 10:36 AM) Why can Melo make more on the max than him? They have the same years of service. I'm confused, an ESPN.com article says $20.7: "The max number for James is projected to be about $20.7 million. " However, CBS quotes the same ESPN artcile with $22.2: "The max number is projected to be $22.2 million."
  12. QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 1, 2014 -> 10:36 AM) Haslem opted out. You also aren't including cap holds. I was factoring in Haslem resigning at a similar or slightly lower rate. I have no idea how cap holds are calculated.
  13. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 1, 2014 -> 10:24 AM) The Heat having any chance at significant upgrades lies in Lebron taking below max. You also didn't factor in the fact that they have to resign Haslem (as that was supposedly a hand shake deal when he opted out). My understanding is they are going to have a hard time getting Deng or Lowry to come or anyone at that price point (especially since they won't have access to the MLE). James - $20.7 (max) Wade - $11 (significant pay cut) Bosh - $13 (significant pay cut) Haslem - $4 Existing Contracts: $2.8 That would put them at $51.5m. I believe the cap is $63m. That would leave $11.5m in cap space. But, that's assuming Wade and Bosh take HUGE cuts.
  14. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 1, 2014 -> 10:18 AM) LeBron's not getting $25 million a year, he's getting somewhere around $22 million. ESPN says $20.7
  15. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 1, 2014 -> 10:14 AM) Heat might end up doing something incredible but I would be hardpressed for them to find space for both Lowry & Deng. Lebron would be taking less then the max and Bosh / Wade would be taking significantly less then the max. Right now Heat are approximately $55M under the cap. What would Deng want? He made $14m last year. i think the Bulls were offering 10? James - $20.7 Wade - $12 (significant pay cut) Bosh - $16 (significant pay cut) Deng - $10 Total: $58.7, over the cap and they still need to sign others.
  16. So, we're all going to die tonight in a massive storm. It was nice knowing you all.
  17. Tangent: I dont believe employees should be forced into a union if they were hired prior to the creation of the union.
  18. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 30, 2014 -> 12:29 PM) Instead of trying to find young talent, they just keep bringing around the same old voices. Sometimes change is good. They lost young talent to The Game (and Goff to Atlanta) because spots werent opening up.
  19. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 30, 2014 -> 12:13 PM) The Score is un-listenable with Rozner on the air. I really enjoy the Mac/Speigel show, unfortunately, the show is never on the air for enough consistent stretches. Chicago is seriously lacking in good sports radio. Boers is terrible. Jurko kills ESPN. And on and on. Feder says that Boers is the highest paid Score on-air personality. Chew on that for a minute.
  20. I love Rozner
  21. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jun 30, 2014 -> 11:08 AM) He might have taken a payout for accumulated vacation time. So while he's not currently under contract, he got paid for 8 weeks (or whatever) of vacation and is enjoying it before signing a new contract. that makes sense.
  22. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 30, 2014 -> 10:30 AM) Dan McNeil @DanMcNeil670 · 43m Not in a contract holdout, as @RobertFeder wrote. @MitchRosen670 approved time off before negotiations. Nonetheless...I remain mercurial! Feder reported that McNeils contract ended June 15th. His last day on air was the 13th. So, technically he took 2 days of vacation, and isnt currently being paid.
  23. MSNBC: Can anyone help break this down for me? I was recently forced into a public sector union (my department voted to unionize), however I have not taken part int he process at all, and have no desire to join. Is this ruling limited to just this case, or could it mean I dont have to pay anything for this new union?
  24. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 29, 2014 -> 05:04 PM) He's taking his vacation time before his contract expires and he's already stated that he's not working this summer. I think I've typed that 3 times in this thread already. His contract expired June 15th
