QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 05:56 PM) Great win today.. 1st series win and no less 1st sweep!! Holy s***! Your avatar's trying to poke my eyes out.

QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 06:05 PM) They don't and the offense will be bad. It stinks that Bills have been so s***ty since the music city miracle. Which was an illegal forward pass.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 05:59 PM) I'm hoping Gailey and Nix know what they're doing, because I don't like the Bills draft at all. Hopefully the Bills defense steps up, because the offense seems like it's going to be very bad. If they can get a draft pick for Lynch, they should do so ASAP.

QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 06:01 PM) he's going to pull down Luol Deng's pants and then steal the ball from him. That sounds like something that Garnett would do.

QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 05:51 PM) Pretty sure his primary focus is entertaining, followed by playing basketball What's next, a bucket of confetti and a basketball with a rubber band on it for free throws?

QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 05:09 PM) I would have been happier had Ozzie put Thornton in to overpower Griffey, ...and Seattle pinch hits. Congrats, you've slapped your closer in the face who's 3 for 3 in save opporunities! QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 05:09 PM) Today was a day where his instincts worked, tomorrow, it probably won't. Just like players, Ozzie can have good games and bad games. Today was a rare good one. Ozzie's going to have at minimum 60 bad games a year. Every manager loses 60 and wins 60. You can't blame everything - like duck snorts and leaving the ball up that sometimes gets hammered -on the manager. It's luck on the former and the pitcher's own fault on the latter. Ozzie's job is to hire people to coach and put a lineup out there that he hopes can execute when needed. Everything that happens in a game is not his fault.

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 05:07 PM) welcome to soxtalk Whats better is when a team wins, the manager doesn't really have that much of an impact on the game. But in a loss, its almost solely the managers fault. Such stupid logic If the hitters don't hit, blame Walker. But if the pitchers fail, it's all Ozzie's fault. - St. Cooper 3:16

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 04:20 PM) It's a bit odd that Ozzie didn't even bother watching the rest of the game. Hell, in my experience a lot of managers still manage to refer all their instructions to the Bench coach from the dugout. He's proably lying to the media in a humorous way. I'd bet that he was watching/communicating from somewhere that he shouldn't have.

Polish president, Dignitaries killed in plane crash

My only reason for bringing it up is that planes are more dangerous than trains or cars. You crash a car or derail a train, you might survive. Not so much when you crash a plane. -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 12:32 PM) http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2010-04...yale-bears-expo What's even crazier is that they had Kurt Warner in training camp the same year as well. -
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 01:02 AM) Looks like Barry Zito might be back. 8 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 10 K against the second best offense in the NL. He looked vintage 2002 watching the highlights. If that team gets any type of offense. Wow. Oh, and I'm now convinced the NL west is the second best division in baseball. Back on the HGH...

QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 11:56 PM) The Dark Knight? Are you stoned? They had special scenes for IMAX and the movie in itself is ideal for large screen viewing, IMO.

QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 10:11 PM) +1 I have it queued up on Netflix but in no hurry to watch it. There are a lot of "Experience" movies over the last few years. A lot of films that impress in 3D or IMAX or just on a huge screen in a theater setting but transfer poorly to home viewing on most average viewers' entertainment setups. Avatar, Cloverfield, The Dark Knight, and a lot of the kids 3D stuff like Monsters vs Aliens.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 01:21 AM) Instead of buying an iPad I decided to buy Apple stock and make money off all the people that actually do buy them, since I really don't have much use/desire for one. So far so good. I'm not an Apple fan or hater, but they know how to make money. Apple likes to keep everything closed and make everyone do things through them, and to control everything. Google on the other hand is the opposite of Apple, they want everything to be open and free, and to Apple this seems like insanity but it's been working wonders for Google so far. Google is too expensive to invest in for most people, though. Also, am I the only one that has a Zune and actually likes it? 7 reasons apple shareholders should be cautious

I assume that the TV schedule couldn't be adjusted after they set it to accomodate hockey and basketball.

Honestly, they need to find out why Jenks' offspeed stuff is so erratic. He's been relying 95% on his fastball since the start of the season because he can't throw offspeed for strikes. Today, it finally jumped up and bit him.
