QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 20, 2010 -> 12:45 AM) Beckham, Danks, AJ, Peavy, Nix, Lucy, and Paulie were all at the Hawks game yesterday. Here's proof it you really don't beleive that Nix and Lucy are invited to team functions. http://twitpic.com/1gqxu6 They were there to be the beer gophers.

School turns on webcam to possibly spy on students
knightni replied to Texsox's topic in The Filibuster
QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 11:22 PM) School should have had students sign some kinda consent form that the student would know the situation would happen if laptop was reported stolen. Also, you would think the school would be more on top of turning the webcams off considering the invasion of privacy and obvious issues that could arise with abuse. The criminals are most likely other students. If they knew ahead of time that the camera would remotely activate, it defeats the reason that the school had for having them on there. -
QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 10:01 PM) Who do you mean by "we"?

Seems to me that Rauch is doing alright.

QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Apr 15, 2010 -> 12:08 AM) Silly me was using piratebay.org on my gfs laptop and got a real nasty son of a gun virus that kept changing the windows desktop into a red background with the flashing letters "YOUR COMPUTER IS INFECTED". Ive grown so accustomed to my macbook that i forgot about the importance of anti-virus software on a windows machine needless to say the virus really did a number on the laptop and i had to do a factory reset which made her very highly upset It's called SmitFraud. There are directions to get rid of it - sort of. I ended up removing the file via a spyware removal program, then moving the WINDOWS file that controls the screen saver and background in safe mode. It disabled it, but unless I can overwrite that Windows file, it'll always be in there. Now, I have no screen saver (which you don't really need anyway), and I have no way to access the background through the desktop properties. But, I can still change the background by right clicking on a photo to make it my background.

Ah man... I was hoping for one of those "Where's Kenny" cartoon pictures where he'd be hiding in the circus behind an elephant while wearing glasses, and a striped shirt and cap.

Does it involve Matt Damon jumping through a window?

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 04:36 PM) If Liriano is back again, at anything close to 2006 form, it's over. Already? I've only watched a few weeks...

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 04:10 PM) But the money we spend on tickets affects the revenue which affects the budged which ultimately affects players contracts and what players are being brought it to compete. Aren't fans a part of the organization because without them, the organization wouldn't be able to exist. En masse, the fans can make a difference financially, of course. I'm saying though, that as individuals, we have no effect on what goes on once the game starts. The players', coaches', and manager's abilities and decisions decide it in the end. Thus, I am not a part of that and am not able to say "we." QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 04:27 PM) Who gives a f*** if some of us like to say "we." We are fans. Big deal. If topics like this become a big deal ... I'm speechless. "We" know we are not members of the f***ing team. "We" have followed the team for years, some of us decades. Grow up. I really don't care if fans say "we" or not Greg. I was not posting to prove any point. Just voicing my own opinion and explaining why Dave may feel like he does. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 04:39 PM) k guys, sorry for saying we. I hope i offended you. I hope you spit coffee all over your lap top. Move along. Say what you want, how you want (within reason of course.)
-
So, is this the Royal "We?" I don't like using it either. My fandom doesn't affect their play on the field one way or another, so I am a spectator - not a direct part of the team. If they want to pay me to be a part of the organization...that's different.

Nats likely to take Harper with No. 1 pick
knightni replied to Ozzie Ball's topic in The Diamond Club
They'll probably draft him as a catcher and see what he does best in the rookie leagues. -
QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 17, 2010 -> 11:59 PM) All those comments are the suck. I liked the comparing Manuel to Gil Hodges when talking about LaRussa's pitching decisions.

Ozzie convinced he'd get another job if fired
knightni replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Who's a better manager option right now in April? Cora will be interim if Ozzie's let go during the season, and Walker will still be here. That's not any better, folks. Save the "Fire Ozzie" threads until the end of the season. -

I'd take Beasley for the Bulls #1 pick. I don't know if Miami would, though.
