  1. 100% agree. I've never felt this despondent about Sox/baseball. I always found SOMETHING to look forward to. Now, I don't even watch baseball anymore. It's ruined. Bears aren't much better, agreed, but at least I still enjoy watching other NFL games. There are greater tragedies in the world, no doubt, but my sports life is miserable. Wake me up when Jerry and Virginia are gone. (or the entire McCaskey family, actually)
  2. The new AJP might only play 65 games but I love this move!
  3. Man, still flying high after last night. What a roller coaster. Unreal game in an unreal setting. TA is incredible. Not to pick nits, but I'm not gonna lie.....I hold my breath every time a ball is hit to him in a big spot.
  4. Surprised and happy at the move! Side question that is semi-off topic but I'm curious: What happens to the player when this happens on the road? Do they fly back separately from the team? Will Eaton go back to Chicago or back to his regular home (no idea where he resides) and wait to clear waivers? I've always wondered the logistics of this from a player standpoint.
  5. I remember him not making it out of the 1st inning but never knew this was why. Wow! Thanks for the links!
  6. I'd be interested in a new dynasty league or getting in the one of the current ones. Where can I get more info?
  7. Obi-Hahn Kenobi strikes again!
  8. QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 10:06 AM) New Fangraphs article on why the price for Quintana should still be "sky high" http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/the-price-f...so-be-sky-high/ Reading this made me sad that we've squandered two Top 10 WAR pitchers. Oh well....SELL!
  9. The feeling I got when I saw this reminded me of when the Bulls signed John Starks. Not quite to that level, but I still need a shower.
  10. What does Montas project to be? Top of rotation guy?
  11. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 11:26 AM) I think it's safe to speculate that Hahn and Williams work hand in hand with Hahn taking on the day to day responsibilities of the job so Williams can focus on bigger picture ideas and when something important like this comes up, they both have a hand in it. They are, effectively, "co-managers" Does anyone know how Hahn and KW get along? I have never heard anything negative after all these years...but it has always seemed somewhat strange to me that Hahn would stick around as a GM if KW was still there to "meddle"....unless of course their relationship is good enough to where it doesn't feel like meddling?
  12. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 12, 2014 -> 06:43 PM) Just watched it again. 1) I miss the vest jerseys. 2) Pods was f***ing awesome. Miss the vests as well....why'd they stop wearing those??
  13. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jul 30, 2013 -> 02:47 PM) Goddamn that fickle Brad Pitt! Just make up your mind! Send us Carlos Pena! Well done
