I'd love to have Wainwright as a closer, but he's not going anywhere. Plus, he probably insist on starting anyway.
Drinking at 1pm? For shame.
Have you seen Wainwright pitch lately? The man will be top 5 in the NL Cy Young voting this season.
There is no way that #1, he will be dealt and #2, he will leave the rotation.

Yeah, I don't think he will, but I wouldn't be shocked if he is. I can see a NL team giving up an OK package for him if after FA they end up a bat short.
Why would an NL team want him? He's two years or less from being a full time DH.

I think they'd have to park in the bus lot, but you should email and ask.

If it was my decision to make, I'd rather have Torres in the bullpen next year over Hudson. Hudson should stay a starter and start in AAA until Freddy shows that he can't start effectively in the majors anymore.

If Chicago gets them, the support will skyrocket (imo). I just think many people dont want to be upset if Chicago doesnt get them.
It's the Cubs fan mindset.

Yeah, but J4L was saying that Penny was past his prime, like Smoltz and Pedro. That's not true; he's just been hampered by a serious injury history.
