  1. Finally figured it out. I had to open MSConfig and shut off a new file that was dled with a windows update. After that it works fine now.
  2. Its about a yr old so not really. Its was working perfectly until earlier today. I left the lid open and it went into a sleep type mode and I came back and it wouldn't wake up so I restarted by the power button and now its acting up.

    Puter help

I have a Compaq Presario C700 lap top. It freezes on start up. It gets all the way to showing the desktop and then freezes. I can't get a virus scan going even in safe mode. It freezes even in safe mode. I tried a system restore and I keep getting an unspecified error message and it won't restore. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance
  4. Dodgers, Orlando Hudson Agree To Terms By Tim Dierkes [February 20, 2009 at 1:36pm CST] Sirius XM’s MLB Home Plate is reporting Orlando Hudson has agreed in principle with the Dodgers, pending a physical. The Diamondbacks lose their second baseman to a division rival, but also receive L.A.'s #17 pick in the June draft plus a supplemental pick.
  5. I agree about the proxy thing. It makes total sense how they tied them all in like that. Only one I didn't think about was that guy who looks like O Cab. When you said it I remembered about Sayid sayin that.
  6. Now the way the brought in Jack's grandfather you would have to assume he is going to play a bigger role in this than just to get a pair of shoes from right?
  7. I also loved that they tied in Lapetis
  8. I think that's how they will draw Desmond back to the island...
  9. This is something I have been kicking around but I am thinking that Jack and Claire's father is actually Jacob. Anyone else or am I being nuts?
  10. Video has to be fairly recent since he is wearing the Sox BP jersey. Kid looks like he can rake a bit.
  11. I watch anime and other cartoons. My wife is always asking..."aren't you too old to be watching cartoons??"
  12. Seen this pic and thought it fitting.
  13. Its on Barney Drive...right off Jefferson st. 98 BARNEY DR JOLIET, IL 60435
  14. The man is an animal... hopefully he doesn't hurt himself again though.
  15. Man I almost gave up on checking on this site lol
  16. Well it would be great to get Roberts.. it answers the leadoff question and who would start at 2b... only problem is you now have an even bigger hole at SP. Don't think it would be worth it at this point unless KW has something else worked out for another starter or 2.
  17. Red Sox Reach Deals With Bard, Penny By Ben Jones [December 28 at 7:41pm CST] Free-agent catcher Josh Bard has reached a one-year deal with the Boston Red Sox, Sean McAdam of the Boston Herald and Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe are reporting. The Bard agreement is a nonguaranteed major-league deal worth $1.6MM. According to McAdam, Bard is viewed as a backup, but he could see more time depending upon what Boston decides to do at catcher. Bard, 31 in March, spent seven games with the Red Sox in 2006 before Boston traded him to the Padres. He hit .202 in 57 games with San Diego in 2008. McAdam has more on the Brad Penny deal, too. The agreement, a one-year deal with a base salary of $5MM, will be finalized Monday. Incentives and performance bonuses can increase the total deal another $3MM if Penny pitches more than 160 innings, McAdam reports. Penny, 31 in May, went 6-9 with a 6.27 ERA in 17 starts and two relief appearances in 2008 with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The right-hander played 4.5 seasons for the Dodgers. He played with the Florida Marlins from 2000 until he was traded in 2004. With the addition of Penny, the Boston rotation now consists of Penny, Josh Beckett, Tim Wakefield, Daisuke Matsuzaka and Jon Lester. The move also allows righty Justin Masterson to remain in a setup role for closer Jonathan Papelbon.
  18. My 360 is driving me insane... it keeps telling me that it either the disc is unreadable or it says the disc needs to be cleaned. I restart the 360 then it plays it. I don't know if I should send it in to get it looked at or what...any ideas?
  19. Yankees Sign Mark Teixeira By Tim Dierkes [December 23 at 3:58pm CST] 3:58pm: Joel Sherman says the Red Sox were at eight years, $168MM, so the Yankees outbid them by $12MM.
  20. Nationals Sign Daniel Cabrera By Tim Dierkes [December 20 at 3:24pm CST] According to MLB.com's Bill Ladson, the Nationals signed Daniel Cabrera to a one-year deal (pending a physical). One of Ladson's sources says the Nats beat out the Mets and Pirates for him. So far this offseason the Nationals have added Cabrera and Scott Olsen to their rotation. Cabrera, 28 in May, made 30 starts for the Orioles in 2008 with a 5.25 ERA. His walks remained high, while his strikeout rate was way down and he lost 1.7mph off his average fastball. Cabrera's season ended in September with an elbow sprain, which did not require surgery.
  21. Here is a CF I would love to see KW go after... of course the price would be high I'd imagine... Jays Listening On Wells By Ben Nicholson-Smith [December 20 at 8:58am CST] Jon Heyman has heard that the Blue Jays "have fielded a few trade inquiries" about Vernon Wells, though they are not shopping him. Wells has six years and over $100MM remaining on his contract. Because of the Jays' financial constraints, they could consider trading Wells or closer B.J. Ryan for the right package. Trading the center fielder would likely take a lot of creativity on the part of Jays GM J.P. Ricciardi given the amount the club owes Wells.
  22. It will either be Willy T or Daniel Cabrera me thinks...I know KW has had man love for both those guys.
  23. I like the kids moxie... but he still needs to learn another pitch. Maybe Buehrle will teach him a cutter or something.
  24. I would also assume the Sox will not sign Furcal... they are crying broke again...
