  1. Is Marty really Cowley? lol. I thought you guys were being paranoid. Out of all the things to get on KW about, Wilder is a distant 6th or 7th.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 4, 2011 -> 09:59 PM) Honestly, him playing well the rest of the way would go a long way to possibly salvaging his time here. Some confidence heading into next year for him and Rios would be a great thing. I get that point of view. But I don't want to see it. If he gets hot now I might seriously start cutting myself.
  3. A pathetic display of baseball all-around these last 4 games. No more, "Well, with our pitching staff. We could hang with anybody if we get into the playoffs" talk. PLEASE!
  4. I wanted to see him K myself. What's the point of him doing anything positive now?
  5. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 4, 2011 -> 09:49 PM) Well the blast tonight only went about 415 feet. Meh, I saw that he hit a HR. Who cares how far it went. And he hit one a couple days ago, too.
  6. And will people once and for all stop overrating Don Cooper and this 'vaunted' pitching staff we supposedly have? It's a solid group only by AL central standards.
  7. Damn, I missed the Martin blast. Keep in mind he had only hit one HR since May 24th until he saw White Sox pitching.
  8. Let's pray the Bears don't suck ass. Because there will be no hoops this year.
  9. QUOTE (SpainSOXfan09 @ Aug 4, 2011 -> 09:36 PM) Nova absolulely crushed us tonight, nothing new though. Nova had a measly 57 Ks in 98 2/3 IP coming into this game. Tonight? His first double digit K performance of the season.
  10. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 4, 2011 -> 09:38 PM) Hawk is such an idiot. He had me with the Morel stuff and gave it right back with the Indians stuff. They're 55-54. They went 33-21 the first 54, and 21-33 the second 54. You gotta admit they look a lot better going forward than they did a few weeks ago.
  11. Too early for a "And that's a White Sox season" thread? I know I made one in '09. Not sure if I did last year. I guess I'll wait until the Twins sweep us this weekend.
  12. Indians offense looks a lot more potent since calling up Kipnis and Chisenhall. And Santana is finally starting to hit (the OBP has been good all year). And, of course, they've got an ace now. Wow, this s*** fell apart real fast.
  13. Could we even get an above average set-up man for Gordon right now? What a disappointment.
  14. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 4, 2011 -> 09:13 PM) Damn that was fun. Remember when the Sox played entertaining baseball? Indeed. And it wasn't necessarily because they ended up winning the division. But Durham, Frank, Maggs, Lee, Baldwin, Barcelo, Wunsch. These are guys you would watch even if you weren't a White Sox fan.
  15. Would AJ be any less accurate if he threw with his left arm?
  16. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Aug 4, 2011 -> 09:08 PM) This series won't be as painful as the weekend one, Can you say "4th place"? I'm already probing the potential class of 2012. Of course, this class doesn't appear to be nearly as talented as the '11 class.
  17. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 4, 2011 -> 09:05 PM) I hope not. He did. He also said that he's never seen an offense this talented struggle for this long. He also said this in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010.
  18. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 4, 2011 -> 08:49 PM) To have him on your team, or have relations with him? This post is pretty vague. On the team. I'm not that drunk.
  19. At least we have a future long man? Humber is not a SP on a team not named the Astros.
  20. QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Aug 4, 2011 -> 08:40 PM) I haven't been on the board much and I was on vacation when those trades take place and I have to ask: Edwin Jackson to Toronto... Toronto trades him and gets Rasmus? Why the hell didn't we just get Rasmus??? Cardinals wanted no part of Mark Teahen.
