QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:27 AM) Except the Bulls DID get something that improved their team quite a bit. And also because it's factual. Miami will be really, REALLY good with the big 3. But they won't coast to 5 straight titles. You NEED role players. They literally have NONE. And like someone else mentioned, those Boston teams were some of the best defensive teams. It's easy to say they have no role players. They've got two guys under contract. It's not going to be hard to fill out a roster when you have three of the top 10 players in the game.

Say this with me people: Chris Bosh might be the Heat's THIRD best player. I repeat, THIRD best player. They will be the team to beat until 2016. It won't be close. And they play in the east, too? lol.

Viciedo...
QUOTE (BFirebird @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 12:26 AM) But will he be kind of a Mark Reynolds all or nothing player? Can he hit maybe .250? He definitely won't walk. lol. I'd bust a nut if he became a Mark Reynolds clone.

All I know is Vicedo is in much better physical shape then I thought.

QUOTE (chisoxfan09 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 11:31 PM) Just throwin this out there and expect to be flamed and labeled retarded but hey what the heck. What about revisiting a Zambrano trade. I KNOW I KNOW the dude is a serious mental midget but maybe a change of scenery would really help him and he coud thrive with OZ. I know the Flubs would have to pay at least 30-35 million of that remaining salary for us to even think about it. And I think it would not cost much in the way of prospects. Dunno just a wild dumb idea on my part. OK Flame away!!! Zambrano+AL=Dontrelle Willis

All I know is I'm done with the NBA if Lebron chooses Miami. No hyperbole. If I wanted to watch a sport where who wins or loses is pre-determined, I'd watch wrestling. It's curtains for the rest of the NBA until 2016.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 12:04 AM) I don't think that is really true because LeBron will be without a doubt the best player on that team and it really wouldn't be close. Kobe was the clear #2 guy on those Lakers championships team with O'Neal being the dominant force. Would he get as much credit as he would with the Bulls where he wouldn't have another superstar? Of course not but there would be no doubt he is the best player on a title team. lol@wouldn't be close. Wade goes weeks at a time where he looks like the best player on the planet. Lebron would just be one of the guys instead of THE guy. Winning titles with Miami would do nothing for his overall legacy. It would be like no s***.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 05:56 PM) Not even close to the same player or situation. Not a good comparison my friend. Believe me, you'll see. Boozer was a product of that system and Deron Williams.

Peavy Done for Year; Marquez Up
QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 05:46 PM) Why? The White Sox are hitting all cylinders right now. All we need is similar production out of Hudson and we will be fine. If we don't get that- KW WILL bring in another starter. And the Bulls are still very much alive in the Lebron hunt. . . We need offense. We can't afford to spend the few assets we have in the farm on a pitcher. And no, we're not getting Lebron.

Carlos Boozer has Ben Wallace written all over it. He WILL NOT be a 20/10 guy in Chicago away from Sloan/DWill.

QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 05:42 PM) really, he hasn't accomplish much, much of their success is due to Dwill, they played just as well when he was hurt and Milsap subbed in. He got flamed I think in the 09 postseason for being too soft and not hustling and attacking the basket during a playoff game. Boozer is Pau Gasol's b****. I'm not excited about this signing at all.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 05:39 PM) I was just thinking that the best thing really for LBJ's legacy would be to be the guy who eventually gets the knicks a couple rings. I agree completely.

Between this and the Bulls' epic fail in free agency, I'm taking a break from sports.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 12:55 PM) I just don't understand why the Knicks would be favored over the Bulls at this point but who the f*** knows. I never really believed we were going to get LeBron but there's no reason for me to believe that the Bulls are completely out of the race at right now. Amare.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 12:50 PM) I would have to believe that he will pick Cleveland tonight. To go through all this crap to announce his decision on tv, it would be a real slap in the face to his hometown if he chose another team. Him leaving Cleveland basically ruins that franchise and it would be easier to sign with another team without the adding more gas to this out of control FA fire. I thought the same until today. Wade/Bosh makes the Heat the favorites now. The Cavs can't really compete. It's either Miami/NY.

I'm going to laugh my ass off if we overpay for Boozer or Lee. We've already got the most overpaid SF in the league. Why not have the most overpaid SF AND PF!!!

QUOTE (scenario @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 12:32 PM) Or the Lakers making a move to add another star. Unless the Lakers get Chris Paul or Dwight Howard there's nothing they could do. Lebron goes to Miami and it's curtains for the rest of the league.
