Indians @ Sox - 4/2 Game Thread
QUOTE(Yoda @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 08:51 PM) I don’t know about you guys, but it seems like it was just yesterday when the Sox had their World Series Championship parade in downtown Chicago. Winter has gone by so fast that in a couple of days the Sox will be defending their title. Amazing. Buehrle will keep us in the game, the defense and offense will be there and the White Sox crowd will see their favorite team beginning their journey to a dynasty. The wait is short. Opening Day is right around the corner! I couldn't disagree with you more. This has been the longesttttt off-season for me that I can remember. This month of March has been torture. I was ready to go in February. Thank god we're just a few days away.

So what's the record for most users on at one time again? I think that record, whatever it is, is in jeopardy.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 03:43 PM) His outing was good then. He was throwing strikes getting his slider and curve over. Valido wont be in the field during the season anyways. Yup, this was a good performance overall. Hawk made a good point as well. Bobby has to realize that he's close to unhittable when he's pitching up.

Burnett will go on DL, missing two starts
Good thing I stayed away from this guy in my fantasy drafts. I was tempted to take him.

Mcd's game
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 12:11 AM) I agree, kind of like that 05 kansas team..oh wait. LOL. Anyway, Jimbo can take over now. I don't care about Kansas enough to defend them.
-
Mcd's game
I know. Kansas has choked on a fat one in the tourney the last couple years. But next year's team will be a lot more experienced.

Greatest College Basketball Team Ever?
QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Mar 29, 2006 -> 11:43 PM) Well, the balloting is done. The Final Four was 96 Kentucky versus 82 UNC and 76 Indiana versus 69 UCLA. The Heels beat Indiana in the final. Personally, I think that's a load of crap. The 82 Heels weren't THAT good. Their stars were all pretty young, and I think the fans were a little swayed by the fact that Michael was on the team, even though he wasn't quite his old self back then. I'm as big a Jordan fan as there is, but damn. He wasn't even the second best player on that particular team. No way that UNC is better than that '96 Kentucky team.

So who's the pre-season #1? I know it's too early, but predictions are so fun.

Mcd's game
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 29, 2006 -> 11:46 PM) Which he won't since he's a top 3 lock , but they are still going to be really good anyways. Oh, and Budinger is just ridiculous. Can't wait to see him next year. Saw nothing out of Scheyer to convince me out of thinking he will be a bench player at Duke, but then again it was just an all star game so it's not like that would change my mind anyways. I don't want to even talk about Oden.....I just hope next year goes by fast. So what's the latest on Aldridge anyway? It seems as if he really isn't sure if he wants to stay at Texas or enter the draft.

Which game will be your first this year?
My first game is gonna be on April 14th against Toronto.

Mcd's game
QUOTE(danman31 @ Mar 29, 2006 -> 11:26 PM) The game was a good one this year. Durant is a freak, but had a quiet 23 points if that is possible. Budinger was the best player to me, he was making great plays in every aspect. He had some great passes as well as some pretty finishes. Oden is simply incredible on defense. I also thought Scheyer played well in the 2nd half, but I might be biased. Durant is NICE. Texas is gonna be scary good next year if Aldridge passes on the draft.

Recruiting Thread
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 29, 2006 -> 10:57 PM) 2 pieces of recruiting news. MAC Freshmen of the year Maurice Acker (5'8 point guard) will transfer to Marquette following the firing of Ball State's head coach. He will redshirt as a transfer next year and have 3 years of eligibility at Marquette starting in 2007-2008. That backcourt of Dominic James, Jerel McNeal, Wes Matthews, and now Maurice Acker (and Scott Christopherson, a top 100 national recruit from Wisconsin at guard coming in the class of 2007)....yikes. Uh, one of the last things they need is more guards. They need to find some competent bigs.
