They have a first baseman that keeps getting better every year and after every pitch to the face. They have a talented, young bullpen. AND they DON'T have Ozzie Guillen, thankfully, because his shennanigans would take the focus off of all the good stuff I just mentioned.

My biggest problem with Floyd has been his consistent inconsistency. Although, he's been consistently bad for a couple starts now. I don't know what to do with the guy. He shows flashes of being a very good pitcher (his curveball has been great lately), but overall he seems to buckle under pressure. Peavy and Sale seem like the real deal. I feel pretty confident every time they start. I feel pretty about Quintana, too, although I think we're all waiting for the bottom to fall out. Humber and Floyd...no confidence in these guys right now. And Danks, who knows. Hopefully he comes back from the DL and pitches a lot better. What it boils down to is that we have some problems with the starting pitching. Not having confidence in 40% of your starters is not good. I think moving Humber to the bullpen and keeping Q in the rotation is the way to go right now. Beyond that? Do the Sox bring someone up or find a cheap veteran?

It was the last couple years (and so far this year in Miami) that Ozzie has lost a lot of respect. Publicly fighting with his GM, allowing his dumbass kid to run rampant and start s***, making stupid comment after stupid comment, and then there's the whole quitting on his team. And that was all before his comments about Castro. And don't be so quick to say that the Sox will never win another WS in our lifetimes. This team and its future are looking better. They have a competent manager. And their chances of making the playoffs are decent every year because of the division. Once they get to the playoffs, you never know what will hapen.

He's a big part of the future of this club.
