Absolute Worst Things in the World
#8 - When will the makers of Pringles realize that it's not just children eating their chips? #14 - I see plenty of these things. They bother me, but not as much as spiders. #16 - It's even worse when you look at the clock and realize your alarm is going to go off in 30 minutes.

(Insert Celeb Here) is Dead
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jun 4, 2012 -> 06:27 AM) Chalk that one up to the "Wow, I didn't even realize he was still alive" category. On June 1, out of the blue my wife asked if Richard Dawson was still alive. I said I thought he was. Then he died the next day.

(Insert Celeb Here) is Dead
QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 04:54 PM) RIP. Love his short stories. A Sound of Thunder is one of the best short stories of all time. And it was made into an absolutely horrible movie.

GT: Houston Astros @ Chicago White Sox
Dunn needs to start hitting the ball again. I'm sure he'll go on a tear, hit six homeruns in a week, and then cool off again. I'd like to see him wakeup starting tonight.

The Official Thread for Joe Cowley and his Agenda.
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 01:45 AM) http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/colum...,6968593.column Not Cowley, but it reads exactly like him. McNeil, you suck! Isn't this the same guy that was part of the Mac, Jurko, and Harry show a few years back? He was always a die hard Sox fan. Now it sounds like he's a fan, but he doesn't want to get too involved with being happy about their successes. Yes, we are all aware of what could go wrong with this team, but dammit man, enjoy the ride! For the most part, his points are valid, except for Peavy. I don't get the feeling that he could hurt himself with every pitch. He seems healthy for the first time since he became a Sox. Although his points are valid, he said nothing positive. It was all doom and gloom. Stick to radio Mac.

AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!
That Alex Rios kid is turning out to be a decent ball player. Hudson's walk-off hit was awesome. His defenseive play was a 180 degree turn from the other night when he was amazing. It was good to see him redeem himself. Jake looked good without looking good. He definitely didn't have his best stuff, but his okay stuff was good enough.

GT: Toronto Blue Jays @ Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 7, 2012 -> 12:07 AM) THIS GUY QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 7, 2012 -> 09:35 AM) I love this picture. Looks like he is either failing an eye exam... badly... or he suddenly realized he smoked something other than what he intended to. Either that or someone just asked him a really hard math problem.

Who would you rather go out for beers with: Ozzie or Robin?
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 7, 2012 -> 03:12 AM) Well, I'm 5'11, 220 lb. But everyone always thinks I'm 185, so it's more muscle I guess? Kind of like a Viciedo build, minus the baseball skills and strength of an ox. The difference would be that I'm 19 and not in my 40s. Also, based off of past Ozzie comments, he'd fear his citizenship getting taken away. Meanwhile, I don't. However, Ozzie does have some crazy in him, but I got some crazy as well. Conclusion: I punch Ozzie, he punches me back. We go "cool" and then troll Cubs fans. Greg calls me a rat/finck/snitch/bum because Ozzie gains my respect and we become new bestest friends forever and he signs my brothers 1990's Ozzie jersey. Then Ozzie is arrested for providing a minor with alcohol and all is sad. Okay, your posts make you seem a lot older and wiser.

Who would you rather go out for beers with: Ozzie or Robin?
QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 02:10 PM) You are right. I deserve a Kangaroo Court fine for going with the 'me thinks' crap. But I don't think I am on an island regarding Ozzie. If Miami keeps winning you will hear a lot about Ozzie nationally prolly starting at the all star break. I think that nation has heard enough about Ozzie already, and it wasn't good publicity. With the way the Marlins team is stacked, they should perform well. I don't know that if the Marlins do win the division that Ozzie should be considered Manager of the Year. He was mamager of the year in 2005 because he helped lead a team that wasn't really expected to do a whole lot to the World Series. Yes, I am giving Ozzie some credit there, he deserved it. But with Miami, that team should be at or near the top of the division.

Konerko #2 MLB most underrated player
To not be underrated, Konerko would have to take at least 3 more pitches to the face.

Game Thread: TOR @ CHW, 6/6/12, 7:10pm
I imagine Q is still upset about being tossed last time he started. Let us see if he casts a spell on the Blue Jays. The offense was okay last night; it was the pitching that did us in. I feel tonight we will see better results.

Who would you rather go out for beers with: Ozzie or Robin?
QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 11:32 PM) I'm actually stunned Ozzie has gotten as many votes as he did. Me thinks there are a lot of Ozzie fans out here who don't post a lot. Cmon guys, speak up like I do. I love Ozzie. I don't think there are that many. I'm sure there are more people who just don't care one way or the other, but as far as hard-core Ozzie fans, you're on an island. Oh, and the "me thinks" thing? Um, no.

Decent Tigers/Sox 2012 comparison slide show
Seems like a good comparison. I would pretty much agree with their assessments.

June Calendar?
When I first glanced at the title, I thought it said Juan Calendar. I was like, "who the hell is Juan Calendar? Is he any good?"

Paul Konerko All-Star Campaign
If the All Star Game continues to mean something, something has to change with how players get selected.. If Konerko, Dunn, Sale, Peavy, and even AJ played for the Yankees they'd be in no problem. As it stands, the first baseman voted in will not be close to being the best.

Chris Sale- AL Pitcher of the Month/ May
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 09:22 AM) Chris Sale eats pitching awards for breakfast. For lunch he has cuchumber sandwiches. For dinner, usually McDonalds. I see what you did there.

Chris Sale- AL Pitcher of the Month/ May
QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 12:17 PM) That picture looks so out of whack. Is Sale really THAT skinny? Let's hope his metabolism slows down soon. Jeebus. Yeah, the guy's a rail out there. How does a guy that skinny throw a ball that hard?

Who would you rather go out for beers with: Ozzie or Robin?
QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 08:23 AM) Drink beer during the tour. Go Steelmen. "Paul, you mind if I bring this 6-pack with me? Cool. Oh, you have a toliet in your kitchen? This is the bathroom? Why is there a fridge...oh, wait. Nice."

2012 TV Thread
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 08:39 AM) So the Mayor and Richmond have offices like right next to one another? That is the part where I got thrown off... It's a government building, I assume, where the mayor and councilman both have offices.

Who would you rather go out for beers with: Ozzie or Robin?
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 07:37 AM) Ozzie would be the kind of guy who would insult the hot waitress who has the MMA bartender boyfriend and get your into a fight, and then hide in the men's room. Robin would be the guy who sticks you with the check and then dares you to say something about it. I'd say Konerko. He'd never make you go to a bar. He'd take you to his 16,000 sq ft house in Scottsdale. Yeah, but the tour would take too long. There'd be no time for beer.
