  1. Eaton has to be due for an IL stint. If he does go to the IL, who comes up? Is Engel ready? Sheets?
  2. I don't know how to answer this. Immediately I want to say ban all substances and enforce it. But that would be difficult...and quite revealing. I wonder how many pitchers use some sort of substance when pitching? Or maybe the better question is, who doesn't? I don't think approving one substance is the way to go. That would be the MLB admitting that substances are used, and I don't think they want to do that. I think right now, aside from hat cop Joe West, the issue is ignored. That's not saying pitchers can use substances, but it's not saying they can't either. Even with some sort of substance, it still takes incredible skill to pitch the way some of these guys do. Banning all substances might level the playing field a bit, but you're still going to have guys who can throw some nasty shit and others who can only throw straight as an arrow.
  3. It's amazing that these max effort guys like Kopech don't get hurt more often. There are a ton of muscles, ligaments, bones, etc. that are stressed when a guy throws upper 90s along with biting breaking stuff. The conditioning for these guys has to be insane. Let's hope his hamstring is fine and he can go for the double header.
  4. Pathetic offensive performance today. Giving up two solo home runs in an otherwise great pitching day is a shitty way to lose.
  5. At a minimum, Yermin needs a day off.
  6. Wish I could watch this game. Rodon is so fun to watch pitch this year.
  7. I think we're finding out that Andrew Vaughn is a really good baseball player. His hitting is one thing and expected. But, he's shown to be a decent 1B and a surprisingly decent LF. As a rookie, being thrust into a position he's never player before, he's done a really nice job.
  8. Unless that AL team is the White Sox. ?
  9. Jack Flaherty was bullied by Jose Abreu and his own defense and chased from the game early. Meanwhile, Lucas Giolito stuck his tongue out at his friend and former teammate and had another great outing. Liam Hendriks came out in the ninth with the based loaded and said, "Crikey, this sure is a dog's breakfast!" and promptly struck out the side. It was a good evening on the southside, complete with a record cup snake. Now it's time to break out the brooms and sweep the cardinals back to St. Louis. John Gant (3-3, 2.04 ERA) vs. Carlos Rodon (5-1, 1.27 ERA) Let's go Sox!
  10. Yeah, sorry. I thought I saw a question mark after Arenado.
  11. Arenado? He rarely fucks up.
  12. What is going on in this game?
  13. First two pitches scared me. Now he looks fine.
  14. Still wondering what that meeting was about.
  15. That was a lazy play.
  16. My wife just said those exact words.
  17. Ferfucksake Yoan.
  18. Heck of a catch by Adam.
  19. Ugly baseball tonight.
  20. At first I thought it was just a fly ball to the mid outfield. Then the OF just kept backing up. Thought it was gone for a second.
  21. Just missed it.
