The one in-house option is moving Ramirez to CF, but given how Ozzie has raved about his defense, that won't happen and I agree they shouldn't do that. Nothing more valuable than a SS who can hit and field at a high level. I'm not saying Ramirez has proven himself but the Sox clearly believe he'll do that.
If Getz is ready, than a Getz/Fields combo is the way to go. Heck, my biggest concern offensively, sans the leadoff spot, is Carlos Quentin. Mechanically his swing is off and the bat speed is noticeably slower. My hope is that is because he's still recovering to baseball shape following the injury and that he will continue improve until he is back at 100%, but currently he looks like a shell of the player we saw last year.
