You posted about Olidapo being raw, I asked if he was a 1st round draft pick. The point being, I said "supposedly more talented" the reason being, I didnt believe Indiana was more talented, I just was always being told by Indiana fans how great every player that went to Indiana was. That was the joke/hyperbole, that every year Indiana fans say how much more talent they have than Wisconsin (hell Hulls was better rated than most Wisconsin player) and then when they lose they say how little talent they have. No need to backtrack, Im not the one saying Indiana is a better more talented program than Wisconsin over the last 10 years. That would be Indiana fans. (edit) In so many words you proved my point. -

QUOTE (farmteam @ Jan 15, 2014 -> 01:43 PM) Neither I nor He Gawn ever argued that IU is currently (within the past 3 seasons) devoid of talent. I was merely responding to SB saying "Even at their lowest Indiana is full of players that are supposedly more talented than Wisconsin." That's it. I pointed out IU's three worst years (08-09, 09-10, 10-11) in the middle of the streak to show that his statement was absurd on its face. But he kept babbling about Zeller and moving the goalposts. Its called hyperbole. Over the last 10 years Im sure that Wisconsin has had 1-2 teams that may have been more talented. Maybe not by recruiting stars though. If Im actually making a factual comment I wouldnt use the qualifier "supposedly". -
As a kid I really cant remember them saying that much about MJ. Just that he gambled sometimes, I dont remember it being like TMZ or yahoo news with every day celebrity news bombarding me.

I think infidelity would have played into his likability. Reports of children, etc its just a different age. I bet people have been following Lebron with cameras since hes been 16, trying to catch any slip up.
-
Im note a huge Kate Upton fan, but for me its her face. Its like a hot but yet girl next door look that I really like.

Just imagine if back in the 80-90s there were cellphone pictures.

If you win at home and dont massively screw up against a bad team on the road you have a shot at the Big10 title. Big10 is a deep league with a ton of talent, not to mention most home arenas have pretty great environments. -
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 15, 2014 -> 12:58 PM) He admitted "The Decision" deal was just plain wrong. LeBron seems as likeable, if not more, as any of the great players close to his stature in pro sports. I actually agree. I think that Lebron is probably a decent human. People love to hate though. That being said #Lebroning is hilarious and its just coincidence that its him.

A better comparison is Roy Williams, who also did not win a NC in his first 13 years and had a better more established program in KU. Not sure what any of that matters anyway. Bo Ryan does a lot with the players he gets, if you think hes a worse coach than Dick Bennett just because Bennett had 1 FF to go with a bunch of losing years, thats your call. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 15, 2014 -> 12:16 PM) Wait. How is IU devoid of talent with the best recruiting classes EVAR??? lol Just wait until they start telling you OSU is nothing because in the last 100 years you only have 1 title to their 5. -
I told my friends I want to get some #lebroning shots this weekend. Its just to hilarious to slightly touch someone and fall.

QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Jan 15, 2014 -> 12:03 PM) You don't want to be associated with me? DARN. As for who Bo Ryan and Wisconsin are like. They are a carbon copy of Keady and Purdue. Do well in the big ten, flame out in the tournament. Then tell everyone the conference is more important. Not everyone, just Indiana. OSU/MSU are more important than Wisconsin, they are tier 1. Wisconsin is clearly tier 2. -

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jan 15, 2014 -> 11:58 AM) Bo Ryan is the Big Ten's version of Mike Brey, except that Brey has even less tournament success than Ryan. lol ok Brey has a winning percentage of 66% Bo Ryan has a winning percentage of 76%, among active coaches that is second to Roy Williams. He hasnt won a title, but Im not sure many people think that a guy who gets 3* recruits is supposed to beat teams like OSU/MSU who are full of 4*/5*. -

QUOTE (farmteam @ Jan 15, 2014 -> 11:55 AM) The facts? Like the fact that Wisconsin has made exactly zero Final Fours under Bo Ryan? During a time when Ohio State and Michigan State have been to multiple Final Fours, and Michigan, Illinois and Indiana have been to one? Wisconsin has been to one Elight Eight and four Sweet Sixteens under Ryan. You can count on a Bo Ryan Wisconsin to finish in the top 4 in conference no matter who is on the roster. You can also count on that same team make it no further than the Sweet Sixteen. I dont think a final 4 appearance means more than consistent success, but thats just me. A championship is 1 thing, but a final 4 could be a fluke. For example, Dick Bennett went to the final four. Im not taking Bennett over Bo Ryan. -
Yeah #lebroning is awesome.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jan 15, 2014 -> 11:48 AM) I don't know anybody who went to the University of Indiana, but then I've never spent much time in central Pennsylvania. Like I said, Im not very familiar with it. So yeah I named it like most normal Universities do. My fault for not recognizing the specialness of Indiana University (sorry that sounds terrible to me). -

QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Jan 15, 2014 -> 11:46 AM) Yes, that makes me obsessed. You're coach himself said last night they did have to change the gameplan because of the fouls. I posted about the Cubs last week. I AM OBSESSED. Yup the team that is ranked in the top 5 is really being hurt by the new rule changes, just like you said. /giggles Youre so cute when you move the goal posts. -

QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Jan 15, 2014 -> 11:44 AM) That makes sense. Indiana fans are obsessed with Wisconsin........ But now you're just talking about "this board". All two Indiana fans that post here. Outside of this board I only know maybe 5 people who went to the University of Indiana, so like I said in my last post, perhaps its just you, and I apologize to the rest of the Indiana fans. At least Im big enough to admit when I might be wrong. -

QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Oct 16, 2013 -> 05:27 AM) New changes on defense... Seems like Purdue and Wisconsin are going to have to change their whole gameplan. http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball...-2013-14-season And lets not forget, you posted this October 16, 2013, but no, you arent obsessed. /giggles (edit) And you know what, Farmteam and other Indiana fans, maybe Im incorrectly lumping you with people like He_Gawn. But the guy has been obsessed with b****ing about Wisconsin for as long as I can remember, so it just kind of grates on me. -

QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Jan 15, 2014 -> 11:36 AM) Yes, that's it. Go to an Indiana board at any time they are NOT playing Wisconsin, there's no Wisconsin talk. Go to a Wisconsin board at ANY point in the year, you're finding a thread on Crean and Indiana. I can only speak for this board, and thats not how it works. But who cares, you guys dont envy us anyways, so you have no problem with bottom 8 Big10 finishes and not beating Wisconsin for another 5 years. lol Seriously the most delusional fan base. You cant rush the court and then say that the other team sucks, it doesnt compute. This clearly was a big game for Indiana, it clearly meant something when they won. Why cant you just admit that? Why cant you admit that for the last 10 years Indiana has been below Wisconsin and thats the reason why the fans stormed the court. It doenst take away that you won last night, it doesnt change the score, its just honest. -

QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ Jan 15, 2014 -> 11:24 AM) There were two calls last night that I thought had a big impact. The charge against Wisconsin with about 10 seconds left in the first half (Gasser maybe?). Going to the replay, Dakich was preparing a lecture about extending your arm, then corrected himself when no arm was extended. The second was the and 1 Yogi Ferrell got that I think was Jackson's 4th foul. Jackson didn't touch him, but Ferrell simulated contact and got the call (I think Yogi Ferrell may have spent the offseason at the Brandon Paul School for Selling Contact). Other than that (and a couple no calls against Wisconsin early in the game), I thought it was pretty consistent both ways. On Indiana, I've been impressed by Robinson's development and Yogi Ferrell is a beast. If Robinson continues to give Indiana a viable 3rd or 4th scoring option, they will be dangerous this year. A few times Yogi was #lebroning, but thats good basketball. If you can get Jackson out of the game, thats smart basketball. Its up to the refs to see it, if they dont, you keep doing what you do. It was a fun game, not an instant classic as ESPN is saying. -

Indiana fans are obsessed with Wisconsin. Butthurt? I dont care that Wisconsin lost last night. I had a feeling it was going to happen. Winning on the road in the Big10 is difficult, especially at a place like Indiana. Its just always an excuse "youngest team", "inherited 0 scholarships". This is exactly what Im talking about. Wisconsin has a top 5 active streak for NCAA tournament appearances, Indiana not so much. Youd think fans of your program would have a little humility. But nah, they are the most egotistical fans I have ever seen. You arent OSU, you arent MSU, you arent even Wisconsin. Believe what you want, but those are the facts. Youve finished above 8 in the Big10 1 time since Crean took over. Wisconsin hasnt finished under 4 in a decade. Who are you crapping? Im laughing, you won a home game, rushed the court, while at the same time saying Wisconsin isnt enviable. Which is it, it cant be both. -

QUOTE (farmteam @ Jan 15, 2014 -> 09:55 AM) You said at the Hoosiers' "lowest" so I talked about the 08-09, 09-10 and 10-11 squads. Zeller was never there during that time period. And I don't think Oladipo was even sniffing a draft board after 10-11 (his freshman year). I don't even know what point you're trying to make anymore. The point is for the last 6 years Indiana fans have been making excuses. At what point do you just own up to the fact that Indiana isnt on Wisconsin's level? You guys are all so obsessed with Wisconsin. Even Dakich was saying the refs were calling joke fouls on Indiana. But who cares, sometimes you win games you shouldnt, sometimes you lose a game you should. Its not like most people thought Wisconsin would be Big10 champ, in fact to start the season Wisconsin was ranked #21 and Indiana was #24. http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball.../1/seasontype/2 Just kind of hilarious that a team that was supposed to be as good as Wisconsin rushed the floor when they beat them. So the point is, you can keep saying Indiana doesnt have talent, but last year they were pre-season #1 and didnt beat Wisconsin. Indiana played a good game and won. On to the next one. -

When I went to Wisconsin they brought out armed police to stop students from rushing the field when Dayne broke the all time record and Wisconsin went to the Rose Bowl. The reason was in 1993 there was almost a death due to the field rush. http://host.madison.com/sports/college/foo...19bb2963f4.html So with that being said I think people should maybe be a little more judicious about storming the floor.
