Hudson wasnt going to be a 3-4 on the Sox unless Danks, Peavy, Floyd or MB are going some where. If they can keep those 4 guys, they only need to get a Freddy type player every year to complete the staff. Hudson at 23 may never have had more value. If they can turn Jackson into a hitter/pitcher combo it should make the Sox that much better this year, while they still have the same flexibility next year.

I could see Kenny getting Livan/Dunn. The Sox dont really need a pitcher long term.

Hudson is only 3 years younger than Jackson. If money wasnt a concern I dont see how you cant like this trade.

The Sox had the talent, they just didnt want to overpay. Seems smart to me.

It just depends on how creepy it is. I think the problem is that some people dont understand that there is a line between creepy and scary. Creepy= awkward, strange, maybe even slightly humorous Scary= restraining order

If you dont care about old players like Mantle, Dimaggio, Williams, etc. I can see how this would be boring. But eventually there will be no one left who actually played with them. Itll just be old footage.

Cant trade Hudson unless you are going to get a serviceable starter in return. If Peavy was healthy Hudson would be expendable, but that is not the case.

I think the only way Ichiro is traded is if he requests it. As for the offer Id say no thanks. Beckham shouldnt be traded unless its for a player in his prime or younger.

Heads From what I read he sounded like a SF/PF. But Scout listed him as a PF/C so I was just going with their projections as Ive never seen him play. I do like how Wisconsin picked up players exclusively from rival states: 2 from Illinois, 1 from Iowa and 1 from Ohio. Traevon Jackson is Jim Jackson's son.

Im not sure if this is the appropriate place, but I believe that Steve was suspended. Im not a moderator, but Ive been on this board for a long time. Steve has always been a great poster and I would hope that administrators would take that into account when determining how long some one should be suspended. I do not think that punishment should be excessive for the sake of setting an example, because I believe that actually undermines authority. There must be some sort of rationale between the length of the punishment and the action that took place. I think the board is better with Steve as a poster and I think that all of the other posters on this site are punished in his absence. I am hopeful that Steve is shown leniency. I personally vouch for him as a poster.

Ah well as good as things were going for the Sox had to imagine some breaks wouldnt go there way. They could have won most of the games this series, just came up short. Cant give up 4 runs in the 9th but when a pitcher walks 2 hitters, youve got no one to blame but yourself.

A walk isnt even the worst situation, it sets up the force at the plate. Obviously youd love a K or pop up.

The Sox havent lost yet, come on. Its not a great spot to be in but if Santos can get a k and double play its game over. He has the stuff to do it, just a horrible situation.
