  1. QUOTE(qwerty @ May 2, 2005 -> 02:41 AM) lohanboobies.gif Hey, I like that one. She looks gorgeous there, but then I think back to that picture that aboz posted. Hundreds of freckles and burnt skin = nightmare I know that the Irish can't do anything about their freckles, but she needs to get her flakey ass outta the tanning booth.
  2. Put me down as a major hater, although I never actually criticized him on here.
  3. Well alright, that's good news for the Sox. I never thought much of Silva. I'd give him a C- if I were grading Twins starters.
  4. Is Silva back already? I know he's putting off surgery or whatever.
  5. QUOTE(qwerty @ May 2, 2005 -> 03:20 AM) Your thinking of gassner. He made a couple of starts when silva was out. Right on.
  6. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 2, 2005 -> 03:18 AM) Actually Mays is back. Oh yeah and Greinke is their ace, period. Yep, Mays just came back after being off for over a year, but Silva is still out. I know they have a rookie that has been somewhat impressive out of the 5th spot. Gnosser or Gnossing or some s***. Something like that.
  7. QUOTE(KWs OK for Me @ May 2, 2005 -> 03:11 AM) I think JG is a 20 game winner for one reason, he is in the 5 hole, he matches up against 5th starters (for the most part). Here is a list of the fifth starters in the AL: Kevin Gregg, Joe Blanton, Dave Bush, Hideo Nomo, Scott Elarton, Ryan Franklin, Bruce Chen, Pedro Astacio, Bronson Arroyo, Zach Greinke,Wilfredo Ledezma, Joe Mays, Kevin Brown Hmmm, I thought that Zack was the Royals ace? From ace to 5th starter...that blows. Kevin Brown has to be ahead of Wright, no? The others sound right. I know that the Twins have a rookie in the 5th spot right now...I forget his name. It ain't Mays.
  8. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ May 1, 2005 -> 08:06 PM) They are remarkable condescending to their listeners and callers and they get off by doing things like mocking the anniversary of Darryl Kile's death. Nice guys Right, but that's an inside thing between them and Cardinals nation. Those people are really wierd...I'd have to say "Obsessed much?" in my best Ace Ventura voice to them people. I guess that you have to listen day in and day out to really understand all of the inside jokes. They're not mocking or knocking Darryl Kile the person. 9 out of every 10 listeners that call in are retarded, and they merely point that out in hilarious fashion. So whenever someone criticizes B & B, often times I envision that person as a reject caller with a vendetta. Not you, though.
  9. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ May 1, 2005 -> 07:24 PM) actually I can and I will Okay, but why exactly?
  10. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 30, 2005 -> 09:31 PM) What would the new Score line-up be be if they DID land Danny Mac? My projections: 6-10 Mike North morning Show. (This is going to be here for a while since Pappy has such a lucratice contract.) 10-2: JHood and Dan Bernstein. (They would work well together. Hood was a former BandB producer.) 2-6: Doug Buffone, Danny Mac, and Terry Boers. 6-10: Murph (He recently signed a new contract. So, he will be there for a while or until he quites. If the Score lands the White SOx, then he will only be heard over the winter) Who is gone: Rick Telender. That was a bad idea by Paul Agasee. He will be launched. Mully will do fillins like he used to do. I agree, Telander is one of the worst that I've ever heard. Tommy Williams, for instance, is about a million times better than Telander, and yet, the Score let him go. I loved that guy. It's time for Laurence Holmes to step in during the week. Here's what I'd like to see: 6-10: North 10-2: B & B 2-6: Hood, Holmes, Buffone 6-11: Murph 11-12: Rongy Rosenbloom and Baum on Saturday mornings is a great show.
  11. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ May 1, 2005 -> 03:41 AM) I think strong ratings for Boers and Bersie in the last book shows that. And yet, you project that Boers and Bernstein will get broken up? If you're basing it purely on the strength of Boers and McNeil having experience together, that would be pretty bad. I hope that you're not thinking along those lines. I've been listening to the Score daily since 1992 when I was a freshman in high school, and nobody can tell me that there has been a better show that B & B.
  12. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 1, 2005 -> 12:37 AM) I think I saw chandler contributing today... When he wasn't getting man-handled by etan thomas... I didn't get to see the game yesterday, although I saw like 15 minutes worth of delay tape at 2 in the morning. I watched Etan get a couple of open baskets due to a confused Othella Harrington. He took 9 shots in the game, so minus those two, he had 7 with other "bigs" guarding him. What was Etan's line against Chandler, straight up? He got man-handled? On one hand, people are saying that he wasn't his usual defensive self. On the other hand, here's a copy and paste job from a Jim O'Donnell column: Maybe someone else can chime in and provide some thoughts on Tyson in game 3. It looks like Etan had the game of his life. 15 points, 10 boards, and 4 blocks in 27 minutes, but the consensus is that he wasn't his usual defensive self. And I know that it had nothing to do with his finger.
  13. So, I offered to trade Vernon Wells straight up for Mota, but the other team wasn't biting. Instead, he countered with Mota and Inge for Victor Martinez. Like Wells, Martinez kinda makes me sick, so I pulled the trigger. Now, this was on April 28. This morning, the trade went through. I clicked on Mota's player profile only to find out that he'll be sidelined up to a month with elbow inflammation. I can't win. My closers for May: Nathan, Turnbow, Herges, and Burgos.

  16. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 10:37 PM) I'm just saying, not a good example when you consider that we would be playing Miami next round (I'm confident we will). He's inconsistently missed a s***load of games, playing some and then sitting out a bunch, this year. And when he has played, he's looked to be playing verry gingerly on that foot. No, I'm talking about a healthy Tinsley, in peak form. It would be nice to have a guy of that defensive caliber, but Duhon will do. He's without a doubt our best option. I'm primarily focused on keeping up with Wade when he drives (which will be damn near every single time) and not getting into foul trouble. Force him to make that s***ty pass.
  17. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 10:28 PM) And out of all the defensive PG's you could have used as an example, you choose Tinsley??? Tinsley is a beast on D, an unsung hero over there. The pre-brawl Pacers were an insane team, a Top 3 championship contender along with San Antonio and Detroit, IMO. If they'd have won it all this year, I wouldn't have been the least bit surprised. Why, who do you like more on D out of the PG slot?
  18. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 10:10 PM) our playoffs end with Miami... enuf said, To say we have a good chance against them would make you a homer..... There is always a chance, but we have as much chance in beating them as Memphis does to beat Phoenix or Philly beating Detroit, or the Nets beating the Heat.... not good odds. We would probably even lose in 5-6 games if Curry and Deng were healthy too, so without them... we might get swept. I think we all realize that we're not ready to take out a team like Miami just yet. Hell, before the season started, I thought that we'd be competing with the Bobcats and Hawks for the number 1 overall pick next year. Advancing to the 2nd round in and of itself is an extraordinary accomplishment. I'd have told you that we were the luckiest team in baseketball back in January, but these 4 rookies that we have continue to shine. Look at the history of the NBA, and try to find a team with 4 rookies in their 8 man rotation that had a .500 record, let alone made the playoffs and actually advanced.
  19. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 09:52 PM) I don't. Nobody's gonna stop Wade, but your best bet to contain him is to put a defensive PG on him. I think that Duhon has more than held his own this year on D. It would be nice to have a superior defensive PG like Jamaal Tinsley, but those guys are beyond rare in this league. Duhon has been instrumental in our success this year, there's no question about it. Why even deny it.
  20. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 08:13 PM) Ya, good f***ing luck with that. It's a good thing that Miami isn't much of a defensive squad. Those games will probably be shoot-outs. The key is to shut down guys like Damon Jones and Eddie Jones, because you can't do much to stop Shaq and Wade from scoring 25 a piece. Also, just to point out the obvious, put Shaq on the free throw line. So yeah, while I dread Reiner time, I'm also looking forward to him hacking the s*** out of Shaq. But if AD has 4 fouls at the half, we lose. Wade will try to drive on you all day, so if you can keep up with him, he'll throw away a bunch of passes. The turnovers, along with his man defense, are weaknesses that need to be exploited.
  21. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 08:02 PM) heat and bulls should be a long series if it happens but a good one, i dont know i think we might be able to take them as long as tyosn posts up shaq, and hinrich or duhon stops wade Tyson would be in foul trouble throughout the entire series if he were on Shaq. This is where AD has to make his money. As long as we can hold him to 25 points per game, I think we'll have some type of shot at being competitive. I dread Reiner time when AD gets in foul trouble. I like Duhon on Wade, and I like Hinrich on Jones, Jones, Anderson, or whoever else gets time at SG for them. Our backcourt defense (minus Gordon) has been a pleasant surprise in the first two games of this series. Of course, you're not gonna be able to hold Arenas to 3-19 shooting every game.
  22. QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 04:13 AM) ''This might be a seven game series''. Charles barkley. I have 4 of Barkley's books. I've always loved the guy, but lately, he's been rubbing me the wrong way. He wouldn't even acknowledge how well the Bulls have played in the first two games.
  23. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 07:29 PM) On the other hand you can probably get kolb out of the deal too, or affeldt and drop herges because he tended to give up runs in the ninth and blow quite a few saves last year Kolb is the first guy that I considered asking him for, but he's been having a rough go of it thus far, despite the 6 saves. From Yahoo Player Profiles: "Kolb has already blown one save this season and currently has an 8.00 ERA. He is walking on thin ice with Bobby Cox and it shouldn't surprise fantasy owners to see him lose his starting job with a couple more outings like Tuesday's. If you can find an owner who will still give you something of value for Kolb, pull the trigger" And he'll probably want a hell of a lot more than just Vernon Wells for either Hoffman or Wagner, so Mota is really the only guy who makes sense from my point of view.
  24. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 07:25 PM) 5th pick in a 16-team league. I might just see what Hoffman and Cordero can do for me for a while... The Cordero situation is one that I'm watching very closely. I know that he makes Frank Robinson nervous as hell, although if you look at his numbers thus far, they're very impressive. I'm hoping for a meltdown so that I can pick up Luis Ayala.
