Happy Birthday, dude!

Nice one. Yeah, I don't know what it is about that track. I read that they did it in one take. That's why there's some inconsistent patterns with the guitar work towards the end. They should have adjusted the vocals so that you could actually make out what he's saying. But it's still a great song...it has a live feel to it.

I can't make out anything that Vedder is saying, but that song kicks ass.
-
Hey, be nice.

This has to be the youngest member of the soxtalk community...born in 1992. Welcome to soxtalk. For future reference, we have a Sports Board for stuff like this.

I don't have anything from Stickfigure. I remember hearing a song from them...it kinda sounded like R.E.M. Yeah, Jack McDowell is a talented guy. Stanford Graduate, Professional Athlete, Musician, Sports Writer, etc.

I spent a day in Tijuana back in 1994. What really messed with my head was seeing all of the stray dogs running around with zero meat on their bones, and in some cases, covered in scars. My uncle, sick f*** that he is, talks about how he loves the place. :headshake

Check that, his passer rating has dipped down to 124. You suck, Manning :fyou

The people who are voting 'Yes'...did y'all vote for Alan Keyes as well? I noticed that he also got about 20% of the vote. Brady is a kick-ass quarterback who would make a team like the Ravens or Jaguars a prime super bowl contender (as they are just shy of the elite level as of now with insane defense and insane running backs), but the Colts? Yeah, right. :rolly Manning is the absolute best in the league, and if he can't turn the Colts into a super bowl contender, then nobody can. So what, he has pieces on offense...big deal. Montana had Rice, Taylor, Craig, Jones, Barton, Cross, Paris, etc. The list goes on and on and on for Montana. But nobody in their right mind is gonna question Montana's greatness. Now why is that? Hmmm 47 TDs, 8 INTs, 127 rating...ahh, just chalk it up to his pieces. Don't give the man any credit for being hands down the most intelligent QB in the league. Steve Young holds the all-time record for highest QB rating in a season with 112. Manning is at 127 with two games to go. That's some Barry Bonds type s*** right there.

Huge Pearl Jam fan here. I've actually read three of their books & I have maybe a dozen bootlegs including the classic MTV Unplugged performance from 1992 with Jack McDowell on guitar for "Even Flow" That boy can certainly hold his own. Honestly though, my favorite albums are "Yield" and "Binaural". My favorite tracks, and I don't know if I can choose one over the others: Wishlist Sleight Of Hand Parting Ways Footsteps (Live version from "Covering Themselves") Oceans (from "MTV Unplugged") Elderly Woman Curduroy There are too many to name...

McNabb has the potential to go down as a Top 10 or Top 15 QB. I'd probably just substitute him for Otto Graham, though. Elway's spot in the Top 10 is sealed as far as I'm concerned. More 4th quarter comebacks that any other quarterback in history, IIRC. And he didn't have a bunch of pro bowl caliber players surrounding him on offense like Joe Montana, Steve Young, Peyton Manning, etc. When I think of what Elway had to work with on offense from 85 to 95...I can't think of one skill position player who was at least pro bowl caliber. The receivers were always good, but nothing special.

Still though, plenty of legendary quarterbacks have been surrounded by insane pieces. My Top 10 of all time, in no particular order: Otto Graham Johnny Unitas Roger Staubach Fran Tarkenton Joe Montana Dan Marino John Elway Steve Young Brett Favre Peyton Manning Joe Namath threw for 173 TDs and 220 INTs, so I hope that nobody takes offense to his absence from this list. I also feel that Terry Bradshaw is not a Top 10 QB. Well, not any more with Favre and Manning stepping into the Top 10, anyway. Go here for fascinating research on quarterbacks: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/qbindex.htm Manning with 213 TDs and 119 INTs.

That's one of the reasons why I looove Peyton Manning. Vanderjagt should have never gone on Canadian television and bashed the Colts. He got what he deserved...a severe tongue lashing. It was beautiful. Choking every year in the playoffs? Teams win, not individuals.
-
This is bad, but in comparison to your basketball thoughts, this is pure genius.
-
Umm, since when is Manning the head coach?
-
Wow, this is unbelievable. The coach tells you when to take a knee. You act like Manning made this decision on his own. :rolly Why anyone would ever think that is beyond me.

Week 15 Update: Just another day at the office for Vick. He had 8 carries for 68 yards, bringing his rushing total to 887 on the season. He needs 82 more yards in the final two games to break the all-time record.

Depending on the success of this poll, I might do a few more of these. I've been inspired by a Tom Petty soundboard concert from 1995 that I traded for recently. I can see 'Other' getting the most votes, as I have left off a bunch of classic tracks due to poll constraints. My three personal favorites: "Thirteen Days", "I Won't Back Down", and "The Waiting". In the end, I'd have to go with "Thirteen Days".

Naaaah. They all say that they wanna stay here, but in the end, all that they can see are dollar signs.
-
I can do that. I used to pitch in high school. Seriously now, I can get it up to about 60 MPH. I was good, real good.
-
Wait up, I think that I forgot the green.

Jacko is a legend. Don't front.
-
I looove Mark Buehrle. Put me down.
