  1. According to my math, 45 to 50 current MLB players are guilty. Two teams worth of muhf***as. I'm assuming that at least 3/4 of them will be guys who are in their 30s.
  2. You're conceding that Bradley has too many problems for the Sox to take him on. Doesn't that in itself make the guy a jackass? Because that's twice now that you've mentioned my use of the word jackass to describe Milton. I think you chalked it up to lack of maturity or some such.
  3. I have a pager for emergencies. If it ain't an emergency, I don't need to hear from you unless I'm at the house.
  4. Something is wrong when you hit over .320 with a 930 OPS for an Indians team that is rebuilding & they can't wait to get rid of you. Beck, you're a much smarter baseball man than I could ever hope to be, but Milton is a lost cause.
  5. And in Milton's case: You can lead a jackass to water, but you can't make him drink.
  6. I thought that I was getting ready to read about a pot bust. It turns out that dumbass Milton pretty much volunteered to go to jail. Looks like Jim Brown minus the wife-beating adventures.
  7. ss2k4 was finally correct about something, eh? I never thought I'd see the day.
  8. So, Vick goes for 69 against the Saints in Week 12, and he now has 709 yards on the season. That's good enough for 4th all time. 1. Bobby Douglass (968) 2. Randall Cunningham (942) 3. Mike Vick (777) 4. Mike Vick (709) 5. Steve McNair (674)
  9. Alfonso's past three years: 2002 AB: 696 OPS: .880 AVG: .300 HR: 39 2B: 51 RBI: 102 R: 128 SB: 41 2003 AB: 682 OPS: .863 AVG: .290 HR: 38 2B: 36 RBI: 91 R: 114 SB: 35 2004 AB: 608 OPS: .807 AVG: .280 HR: 28 2B: 32 RBI: 91 R: 77 SB: 18 77 runs in 608 ABs? That's terrible. If we could get the 2002 version of Alfonso, then I'd be all for it. He'd make a great #5 hitter. 51 doubles.
  10. I don't like any pitcher in USCF. Buehrle at home: IP: 129 ERA: 5.02 WHIP: 1.42 BAA: .306 HR allowed: 22 Buehrle on the road: IP: 116 ERA: 2.63 WHIP: 1.07 BAA: .229 HR allowed: 11 Great. I can't wait until next year.
  11. I also like the fact that he has taken it to the Sox in interleague games. And I looove his sinker.
  12. And those two teams that gave up on him are kicking themselves now. This scouting report pretty much sums up how I feel about Clement: Matt Clement, SP: His stuff can be electric, but Clement has lacked the pitching smarts and poise to get the most out of it. He's at the stage now (30 years old, with a 69-75 career record and 1,156 1/3 innings) where he should show some polish. His strikeouts per nine innings the past three years are indicative of his stuff (9.4, 7.6, 9.5). He's the same age as Kris Benson with a better track record and more durability, but should come cheaper than Benson's $22.5 million, three-year deal with the Mets. Furthermore, he nearly put it all together last year, but he had a bad month of August and an absolutely terrible month in September. Before the AS break: IP: 117 ERA: 2.17 WHIP: 1.18 OBA: .217 K: 123 Looks like an all star to me...I dunno. But after the AS break: IP: 63 ERA: 5.09 WHIP: 1.46 OBA: .250 K: 67 Now, someone refresh my memory. I seem to recall Clement being injured somewhat in the second half, but I can't recall what the extent of it was. I'd love to see this guy in a Sox uniform.
  13. That feat in and of itself is f***ing beautiful, though. I know that he's inaccurate, but he more than makes up for it in other categories. It's funny though, because I consider accuracy to be the most important facet of the QB position, and yet, I'm enamored with Vick. A Top 5 list of NFL players that I'd pay to see: 1. Michael Vick 2. Peyton Manning 3. Donovan McNabb 4. Ladanian Tomlinson 5. R-Dub
  14. Dude, no question about it. That is one hell of a call. But if I really had to vote, I mean, seriously? I'd vote for death.
  15. Mike Ditka said that it's the greatest offense that he's ever seen, and he goes back to the 50s. That is quite a compliment from one hell of a mang in Mike Ditka.
  16. Peyton Manning is having the best season for a QB in the history of the NFL. You think that his TD figures are scary? Take a look at his QB rating. The all-time record is 112 (Steve Young), and he's currently at 127! 41 TDs, 7 INTs, and a 127 QB rating. You couldn't even do that in a video game. Dan Marino had 48 TDs, 17 INTs, and a 109 rating. This was previously thought of as the best season ever for a QB. Manning makes those numbers look ordinary -- think about that for a minute. What Peyton is doing is pretty much the equivalent of what Bonds is doing in baseball. I love Vick...hell, I started this thread. But Vick couldn't even bring this guy gatorade on the sideline, let alone hope to compete with him for the MVP award. It's not even funny.
  17. The "Color Of Money" soundtrack is excellent, IMO. Just about every Scorsese flick that I'm familiar with has a kick ass soundtrack. That dude is a blues elitist.
