Indeed, that comes with the territory of being a hell of a football program. I'm never threatened by people who call me a fair weather fan for being fans of the Tampa Bay Bucs and the 'Noles. It really doesn't matter. I've been fans of the two teams as long as I can remember, and when I'm called a fair weather fan that just means other people are pissed my team can beat the s*** out of theirs. Go Bucs. Go Noles. Go Sox. Go Bulls. But the fact people say that they are better fans because they like crappy teams is a joke.

Do you want a medal? To be perfectly honest, I don't give a damn if you've been through the struggles of U of I football. You know why you've been through their struggles? Because they f***ing suck. Spiff isn't a fair weather fan because he hasn't been through struggles. It's not his fault they've dominated college football for years upon years. If I lived in Canada, I might care. The NHL sucks, and I can attribute those feelings to the Blackhawks organization. I don't care about NHL, and if it goes under, I'll probably cheer. Goddamn the Hawks ownership for putting such a dark light an such an awesomely violent sport. I'll take the other three major sports, thank you very much. Besides, skating just doesn't do it for me.

Yea, because before KW, working the farm system worked real well. KW has managed to trade away a lot of the farm while slowly adding players that he can use for the long run. We have long term options for SS and 2B, he held on to Rowand, he re-signed Garcia and brought in Contreras. Maybe it's just me, but I'll take those guys over a few prospects that could be. He's revamping the system with players that are a bit more proven.
